This South Bay project was completed in an elegant, traditional style with the intent to increase the functionality of the master suite while maintaining a timeless charm. Originally, this bathroom was cramped and crowded, so we designed a long, narrow counter space to maximize storage. For the large bedroom, we wanted to incorporate the client’s unique style into an open and spacious design. Our client has a beautiful collection of antiques which we repurposed in both the master bathroom and bedroom.
The countertops in the bathroom are made from antique marble. The tile pattern in the bathroom is subtle and compliments the Victorian-era gold accents. After the remodel, the bedroom is now a bright, inviting space with panoramic views of Los Angeles.
We loved working closely on this project with our client to create a space she felt was uniquely hers. This is a fabulous example of how the designers at Custom Design and Construction are dedicated to serving our clients so that they can love their home again.

This Shrock Premier Custom Construction Kitchen will take you back in time, yet it provides all the modern amenities for today's requirements. These Shrock clients desired an 1840's era kitchen reflective of their historic home. It's hard to believe it is a brand new kitchen complete with dishwasher, pull out trash, refrigerator (hidden in the ice-box cabinetry), gas cooktop and oven. The cabinets and floor were intentionally distressed to show the wear and tear of a well loved and used space. The Shrock cabinetry experts can create the kitchen of your dreams, both reflective of your style and perfectly suited to your home. www.shrockpremier.com

This bespoke home office at Chicago Contemporary Home 23 is a masterclass in functional minimalism—offering a refined space for productivity, collaboration, and calm. Designed and built by New Explode Construction, it seamlessly integrates into the architecture of the home while feeling intentionally set apart.
A long, wall-mounted desk in soft matte gray provides expansive workspace for two, with floating upper cabinetry crafted from warm natural wood tones that add both storage and softness. The custom open shelving offers curated display space without visual clutter—keeping the design light and balanced.
What elevates this workspace most is the uninterrupted horizontal window that spans the entire desk length, flooding the space with natural light and connecting it visually to the outdoors. Whether used for focused solo work, creative collaboration, or even kids' homework, this room adapts to modern life—beautifully.
At NEC, we design spaces that work hard and feel effortless—because a home office should support how you live and how you lead.

This kitchen was designed to elevate everyday rituals through intentional design and seamless flow. At first glance, the long, sculptural island draws your attention, serving as both anchor and stage—ideal for cooking, gathering, or simply appreciating the craftsmanship. With its quiet tones, clean lines, and concealed functionality, this space reflects the kind of modernity that doesn't need to shout.
Every surface and fixture was chosen with precision. From the richly grained custom cabinetry to the polished quartz countertops and recessed lighting, the materials complement one another to create a subtle, luxurious harmony. The floating staircase, once again, becomes a sculptural element—adding rhythm and architectural interest to an already refined interior.
This is a space where modern architecture and mindful living intersect. It doesn't just serve a purpose—it enhances how you live, think, and move through your home.

Sunlight filters through a matte black slat fence, casting soft lines across layered grasses and flowering shrubs. This scene captures the intentional pairing of clean construction and thriving native vegetation—a blend that celebrates both structure and softness in the modern front yard.

Soft blue tones, tailored millwork, and layered textures create a sense of quiet sophistication throughout the space. The bedroom feels calm and collected, anchored by custom built-ins and refined architectural details, while the adjoining bath offers a spa-like experience with timeless finishes and thoughtful symmetry.
Every element was selected to feel effortless yet intentional—inviting rest, restoration, and everyday luxury. A space that feels as beautiful as it is livable, designed to stand the test of time.

The design intent for this graceful contemporary home was an approach toward minimalism, yet ensuring that the practical needs of day-to-day life could still be satisfied. Situated on a plateau atop a steep hill, the floor plan and glass walls beautifully incorporated the outdoor environment into the primary living spaces. The grounds were carpeted with sage and lavender.

When this Chester Springs family came to Craftsworth Construction, they had a vision: transform an unfinished basement into a true extension of their home — a space where they could entertain, relax, host game nights, and still have room for the kids. What we delivered exceeded every expectation.
This full basement finish spans multiple defined zones, each with its own purpose and personality, yet all flowing seamlessly together in an open-concept layout. Every detail was intentional. Every material was selected for both beauty and durability. The result is one of the most complete and well-executed basement transformations we've built in Chester County.
The Wet Bar & Kitchenette
The centerpiece of the entertainment side of the basement is a fully custom wet bar and kitchenette that rivals an upstairs kitchen in both form and function. Dark charcoal shaker cabinets with brushed brass pulls line the walls, framing a dramatic white quartzite stone backsplash that runs full height. Live-edge floating shelves add warmth and texture against the stone. A stainless undermount sink sits beneath a matte black and gold pull-down faucet, and the countertops throughout are a gorgeous veined quartz. Appliances include a full-size stainless French door refrigerator, dishwasher, wine cooler, and a microwave drawer built into the island. A large waterfall island with seating for four anchors the space and separates the working kitchen from the entertainment area. A dramatic hand-hewn wood beam runs overhead, tying the rustic and modern elements together.
The Dry Bar & TV Bar
On the opposite side of the open space sits a sleek dry bar with a butcher block top and dark charcoal base, perfectly positioned in front of the media wall. Four swivel bar stools with wood backs face the TV, creating a natural watch-the-game setup that's as functional as it is good-looking. This bar serves as the connector between the lounge and the game room, keeping the flow of the space intuitive and social.
The Media Lounge
The living area features a custom slatted wood accent wall with a large wall-mounted TV, in-wall speakers, and a soundbar — all framed by the warm natural tone of the slat panels against the deep charcoal accent wall. Brass wall sconces flank the TV wall, and a large sectional with a round wood coffee table creates a cozy, cinema-quality hangout space. A black sliding barn door with frosted glass panels leads to the fitness room, adding an industrial-modern touch while keeping the space flexible.
The Game Room
Dedicated to fun, the game room features a full-size pool table, dart board cabinet, cue rack, and wall-to-wall sports memorabilia including a framed Eagles jersey. A corner L-shaped floating wood shelf wraps the back wall, perfect for drinks and gear during a game. The deep charcoal paint and recessed lighting keep the vibe right.
The Bathroom
The basement bathroom is a full showstopper. A dark wood vanity with quartz countertop and brass pulls sits beneath a gold-framed rectangular mirror flanked by brass sconces. The frameless glass walk-in shower is tiled floor to ceiling in vertical white subway tile with a built-in niche and a brass thermostatic valve. A vertical shiplap accent wall behind the toilet adds a designer touch that elevates the entire room.
The Fitness Room
Accessed through the barn door from the lounge, the fitness room is clean and bright with its own wall-mounted TV, recessed lighting, and egress window. It's private enough to feel like a dedicated gym but connected enough to stay part of the home.
The Kids' Playroom
No detail was overlooked — even the space beneath the stairs was converted into a functional kids' playroom with built-in shelving, a Lego table, and a chalkboard easel. A smart use of square footage that the whole family can enjoy.
The Pantry
A pair of oversized custom barn-style double doors in matte black open to reveal a full walk-in pantry with white built-in shelving. Closed, the doors look like a bold design feature. Open, they reveal serious organized storage.

This interior remodel reimagined a dated kitchen and bathroom as one cohesive, light-filled living environment. The homeowners wanted a home that felt calm, organized, and effortless to live in — spaces that support everyday routines rather than complicate them.
D&G managed the entire project under a single Design-Build process: design, material selections, engineering, permitting, construction, and final quality control handled by one team with one point of accountability.
The Kitchen
The galley kitchen was opened into an adjacent dining area to improve flow and natural light. Soft white cabinetry pairs with quartz countertops and a full-height marble-look quartz backsplash behind the induction cooktop, creating a clean, uninterrupted surface that's as practical as it is refined.
A vertical shiplap accent wall introduces subtle texture and depth, balanced by a floating natural maple shelf that echoes the wood tones throughout the home. Integrated appliance placement — a wall oven, concealed microwave shelf, and under-cabinet ventilation — keeps countertops clear and sightlines uncluttered.
Adjacent to the kitchen, a custom built-in storage wall blends natural maple upper cabinetry with white base cabinetry, delivering pantry-level capacity without the visual weight of a closed pantry. Timeless, functional, and designed to age well.
The Bathroom
The bathroom carries the same design language as the kitchen: a natural maple vanity with raised-panel doors, brushed nickel hardware, quartz countertop with integrated backsplash, and an undermount sink.
A recessed medicine cabinet extends storage without intruding on the room, while a glass-enclosed shower with a low-threshold base and window-driven natural light keeps the space open, bright, and easy to maintain.
Wood-look tile flooring ties the bathroom to the wide-plank flooring used throughout the home — a detail that makes the renovation read as one intentional project rather than a series of separate updates.
