Alcove shower - mediterranean alcove shower idea in Other with a one-piece toilet

The gentleman's closet contains walnut, raised panel cabinets that reach to the ceiling, customized by the home owner not only to hold clothing and accessories, but to also look like a fine clothier. A drum-style Baker chandelier hangs over the island, and recessed LED lights are designed to come on when the doors are opened. A rolling brass ladder circles the room so that lesser used items can be reached on the upper cabinets. Ralph Lauren wool plaid wool pillows and mohair seat adorn the bench under the window. The plantation shuts are painted in a masculine color to compliment the room.

This Cape Cod-style dining room is defined by its classic, clean aesthetic and a focus on natural light. A prominent feature is the six-light brass chandelier, which hangs above the wooden dining table and serves as a sophisticated focal point. The traditional-style chandelier provides both illumination and an elegant touch. The table is paired with a set of classic black Windsor chairs, which offer a sharp contrast to the light-colored walls and the warmth of the hardwood floors, creating a timeless and inviting look. The ceiling features beadboard paneling, which is a classic detail often found in coastal and farmhouse-style homes, and adds texture and character to the space.
The room is bathed in natural light from a series of large windows that overlook a lush green yard, creating a connection to the outdoors. French doors, visible on the right, further enhance the open and airy feel, suggesting a seamless flow between the dining room and other areas of the home. The light beige walls and crisp white trim on the windows and doors complete the serene and traditional coastal color palette.

The kitchen is splendid with knotty alder custom cabinets, handmade peeled bark legs were crafted to support the chiseled edge granite. A hammered copper farm sink compliments the custom copper range hood while the slate backsplash adds color. Barstools from Old Hickory, also with peeled bark frames are upholstered in a casual red and gold fabric back with brown leather seats. A vintage Persian runner is between the range and sink to effortlessly blend all the colors together.

The staircase is a striking feature with its polished hardwood treads and a curved handrail, which adds a graceful, traditional touch. The balusters are painted white, providing a crisp contrast and reinforcing the clean, coastal feel. The walls are finished with vertical board-and-batten style paneling, a classic architectural detail that adds texture and character.
Natural light is a key element of the design, flooding the space from multiple sources. A large window is positioned at the top of the stairs, and a distinctive round, porthole-style window on the lower landing adds a unique architectural detail. This design element not only provides additional light but also reinforces the nautical, coastal theme. The warm glow of the hardwood floors and sunlight creates an inviting atmosphere, while the white paneling keeps the space feeling open and airy.

With the lower ceilings in this cottage basement we had to figure out how to maximize the bunk space without banging heads. This box mount on the floor solution did the trick. The column adds support and makes the bunks appear to be floating. The stained wood ladders that become safety rails are just one more detail that the builder and his sons added to the mix.
