The inspiration for the Cosse sofa is comfort. Soft, welcoming contours, a soft, delicate, all-enveloping form which floats above the ground, sustained by a fine beech structure in a choice of finishes, or in 1'' (25 mm) square-section tubular steel in an Epoxy satin bronze finish. The remarkable comfort of the seat, achieved thanks to its elastic-webbed suspension, contributes to this feeling of comfort and lightness. One will also note those little details which, as always with our collection, serve to add to the sumptuousness of the model : the meanders of the armrest, for example, and the resulting difficulty of upholstering these, or the extreme slimness of the solid wood or steel legs.

The Twin Peaks Passive House + ADU was designed and built to remain resilient in the face of natural disasters. Fortunately, the same great building strategies and design that provide resilience also provide a home that is incredibly comfortable and healthy while also visually stunning.
This home’s journey began with a desire to design and build a house that meets the rigorous standards of Passive House. Before beginning the design/ construction process, the homeowners had already spent countless hours researching ways to minimize their global climate change footprint. As with any Passive House, a large portion of this research was focused on building envelope design and construction. The wall assembly is combination of six inch Structurally Insulated Panels (SIPs) and 2x6 stick frame construction filled with blown in insulation. The roof assembly is a combination of twelve inch SIPs and 2x12 stick frame construction filled with batt insulation. The pairing of SIPs and traditional stick framing allowed for easy air sealing details and a continuous thermal break between the panels and the wall framing.
Beyond the building envelope, a number of other high performance strategies were used in constructing this home and ADU such as: battery storage of solar energy, ground source heat pump technology, Heat Recovery Ventilation, LED lighting, and heat pump water heating technology.
In addition to the time and energy spent on reaching Passivhaus Standards, thoughtful design and carefully chosen interior finishes coalesce at the Twin Peaks Passive House + ADU into stunning interiors with modern farmhouse appeal. The result is a graceful combination of innovation, durability, and aesthetics that will last for a century to come.
Despite the requirements of adhering to some of the most rigorous environmental standards in construction today, the homeowners chose to certify both their main home and their ADU to Passive House Standards. From a meticulously designed building envelope that tested at 0.62 ACH50, to the extensive solar array/ battery bank combination that allows designated circuits to function, uninterrupted for at least 48 hours, the Twin Peaks Passive House has a long list of high performance features that contributed to the completion of this arduous certification process. The ADU was also designed and built with these high standards in mind. Both homes have the same wall and roof assembly ,an HRV, and a Passive House Certified window and doors package. While the main home includes a ground source heat pump that warms both the radiant floors and domestic hot water tank, the more compact ADU is heated with a mini-split ductless heat pump. The end result is a home and ADU built to last, both of which are a testament to owners’ commitment to lessen their impact on the environment.

Small kitchen, tight budget, huge impact. With just 80 SF to work with, we made the most of this small kitchen by opening up a wall to the living area, adding more counter space for prep work/seating and installing custom wall shelving for more storage. Keeping a simple black & white palette, makes the salvaged barn wood shelves the star of the show. Cast iron shelf brackets, caged wire light fixtures and matte black cabinet hardware contribute to the rustic vibe. We also refinished the maple floors a rich honey brown. The kitchen was designed two years ago and was then erased and redesigned when the world became a different place a year later. As everyone attempted to flatten the curve, our goal in this regard was to create a kitchen that looked forward to a sharp curve down and of a happier time To that promise for happier times, the redesign, a goal was to make the kitchen brighter and more optimistic. This was done by using simple, primary shapes and circular pendants and emphasizing them in contrast, adding a playful countenance. The selection of a dynamic grain of figured walnut also contributes as this once-living material and its sinuous grain adds motion, rhythm, and scale.
Proud of their 1970s home, one challenge of the design was to balance a 1970's feel and stay current. However, many ‘70s references looked and felt outdated. The first step was a changed mindset. Just like the return of the ‘40s bath and the retro movement a few years ago, every era returns in some way. Chronologically, the '70s will soon be here. Our design looked to era-specific furniture and materials of the decade. Figured walnut was so pervasive in the era: this motif was used on car exteriors such as the 1970 Town and Country Station Wagon, which debuted the same year the existing home was built. We also looked at furniture specific to the decade. The console stereo is referenced not only by high legs on the island but also by the knurled metal cabinet knobs reminiscent of often-used stereo dials. Knurled metalwork is also used on the kitchen faucet. The design references the second piece of '70s furniture in our modern TV tray, which is angled to face the television in the family room. Its round pencil and mug holder cutouts follow the design of walnut consoles and dashboard of the station wagon and other elements of the time.

Embarking on a garage remodeling project is a transformative endeavor that can significantly enhance both the functionality and aesthetics of the space.
By investing in tailored storage solutions such as cabinets, wall-mounted organizers, and overhead racks, one can efficiently declutter the area and create a more organized storage system. Flooring upgrades, such as epoxy coatings or durable tiles, not only improve the garage's appearance but also provide a resilient surface.
Adding custom workbenches or tool storage solutions contributes to a more efficient and user-friendly workspace. Additionally, incorporating proper lighting and ventilation ensures a well-lit and comfortable environment.
A remodeled garage not only increases property value but also opens up possibilities for alternative uses, such as a home gym, workshop, or hobby space, making it a worthwhile investment for both practicality and lifestyle improvement.

The overall design was done by Ewa pasek of The ABL Group. My contribution to this was the stone and architectural details.

Situated on a three-acre Intracoastal lot with 350 feet of seawall, North Ocean Boulevard is a 9,550 square-foot luxury compound with six bedrooms, six full baths, formal living and dining rooms, gourmet kitchen, great room, library, home gym, covered loggia, summer kitchen, 75-foot lap pool, tennis court and a six-car garage.
A gabled portico entry leads to the core of the home, which was the only portion of the original home, while the living and private areas were all new construction. Coffered ceilings, Carrera marble and Jerusalem Gold limestone contribute a decided elegance throughout, while sweeping water views are appreciated from virtually all areas of the home.
The light-filled living room features one of two original fireplaces in the home which were refurbished and converted to natural gas. The West hallway travels to the dining room, library and home office, opening up to the family room, chef’s kitchen and breakfast area. This great room portrays polished Brazilian cherry hardwood floors and 10-foot French doors. The East wing contains the guest bedrooms and master suite which features a marble spa bathroom with a vast dual-steamer walk-in shower and pedestal tub
The estate boasts a 75-foot lap pool which runs parallel to the Intracoastal and a cabana with summer kitchen and fireplace. A covered loggia is an alfresco entertaining space with architectural columns framing the waterfront vistas.

This kitchen shows the power of simple, clean design to make even the most hectic of lifestyles seem completely under control. Sleek modern lines, light-colored wood, opaque glass and bright chrome accents give the room a fashionable, high-tech look.
The smooth metal trim of the range hood, sinks, refrigerator and hardware provides an air of professionalism, with hints of a commercial kitchen, yet the light tone of the Maple Natural finish creates a calm, subdued feeling. While the cabinets hold plenty of volume, there is no sense of clutter.
Open Shelving at the end of the peninsula contributes to the breezy, open feeling. Higher up, along the wall, Fresco Glass Inserts in Aluminum Reverse Frame Glass Doors give a sense of openness, and seem almost illuminated from within. They open from the bottom edge for convenience. Above these glass doors, another row of Top Hinge Cabinet Doors offers easy access from any direction.
For maximum efficiency, side-by-side sinks allow two people to work together, splitting tasks like food preparation or washing up.
Even the simple brushed pulls of the drawers and doors convey a smooth, buttoned-down sense of control.

As the leaves are falling and the temperatures are dropping, we have been busy contributing to the kitchen renovation of a two-story Lakeville home. The homeowners wanted to remove the kitchen’s peninsula to help prevent it from breaking up the space. Instead they wanted one large gathering area, increased storage, and seating for up to six, without needing to rely on the dining room table.
To help remedy the family’s storage woes, we added five feet of beautiful pantry space. In addition, we installed a small entertainment center. The homeowners added style and warmth to the kitchen with a combination of great colors and unique textures. The family chose the Chesapeake style door in a cherry cayenne finish. To compliment their cabinet choices, we installed Cambria countertops in the Canterbury design. The end result was a warm and inviting room much better suited to the family’s needs!

Hired in conjunction with John Lum Architects, RBD collaborated in the redesign of this three bedroom, four bath home for an art savvy family of four in Noe Valley. RBD's key contributions include the design and decoration of the kitchen breakfast nook, fireplace, four bathrooms and reconfiguration of the existing master bathroom and downstairs guest room/family room. The reconfiguration of the master bathroom creates a more open layout while also featuring a custom danish modern hairpin leg vanity as its focal point.
Downstairs, the guest room/family room, designed for an open, one-room concept, showcases custom built-in millwork for excellent TV watching and game storage. Finishing off the space architecturally, a custom built-in walnut entry bench and coat cabinet help modestly accentuate their secondary entry into the home given this is the family's main entrance.
Working on an extremely tight budget, RBD mixed low and high end finishes and fixtures to achieve a high end overall look without breaking the bank.

Freestanding gas stoves are national top-sellers—and for good reason. Versatile, efficient, and easily installed, these products are sure to keep your home cozy during the winter months. Generally used to heat a specific room or zone, they provide the convenience and cleanliness of gas burning while producing equal heat to that of wood. Also, gas stoves can often use the same non-combustible hearth and chimney as a wood stove, making it simpler for those already owning such products. Gas stoves are often equipped with remote controls and blowers, contributing to a hands-off, hassle-free system. The Birchwood 20 shown here has a rectangle screen front, black enamel refractory, optional contemporary base and optional tile frame kit.
