Japanese style soaking tub was in the apartment when the property was purchased, and the rest of the bathroom was renovated to contribute to the spa atmosphere.

The metal finish on the outside of the shower and the shower head contribute generously to the modern styling of this bathroom.

A traditional look and feel was required for this farmhouse full bath remodel. Period touches such as a Carrera marble basket weave floor tile design and Jado’s Savina pedestal sink maximized the visual impact of this bath originally built in the late 1800’s. 3”x6” White Subway tile walls contributed to the clean, simple, yet classic look and feel. Custom wood linen tower and framed medicine cabinet in painted white finish ensure plenty of personal storage and convenience yet provide a streamline appearance, keeping with the period of this lovely antique.

The husband's lodge-like office and entertainment room is expansive enough for card games, watching sports on TV with buddies plus working and lounging. The two-story stone fireplace anchors a 10-point elk head trophy while the arched ceiling beams contribute to the rugged mood.

Luxurious materials throughout the kitchen contribute to its chic appeal. A Queen of Sheba quartz countertop in sophisticated shades of purple and charcoal harmonizes with the glittering backsplash of purple glass tile and ceramic mosaic.

The beautiful natatorium in this French home is unlike the characteristic cacophony box that many pool spaces are. The home utilizes the BASWA Phon Sound Absorbing System on the ceilings of the space to reduce reverberation and create a more tranquil environment, ultimately contributing to wellbeing.
The BASWA Phon Sound Absorbing System is integrated without altering the aesthetics of your home and appears just as plaster on walls and ceilings. Furthermore, testing of the material showed no mold growth per ASTM D 3273 Standards, making the system perfect for spas, natatoriums or porte-cochères.

Some of the accessories on the shelf over the freestanding tub are shown here. In a bathroom the accessories should contribute to the function of the space whenever possible, and these decorative soaps are both beautiful and useful.

Transitional style kitchen has a built-in coffee bar with a hinged door that slides open & close for easy access. Open shelves on the opposite wall are made of Carrera marble as well as the back splash and perimeter counter tops. These features contribute to the airy feel & unified, elegant design. The black and gold La Cornue range accompanied by the unique hood help bring a European atmosphere to this Evanston kitchen.

White cabinets contrasted by the dark counter tops and hard wood floors create a bold statement in this kitchen. The gray, subway tile backsplash contributed to a more modern look.

This delightful family lived with their traditional kitchen for several years before bringing me in to expand and modernize. The 1920’s Tudor had the typical compartmentalized rooms surrounding the kitchen. A previous owner had expanded it into the breakfast room, but hadn’t removed any walls. However, they placed a large addition in the rear which enabled us to remove the cramped ½ bath and practically inaccessible pantry for relocation.
By removing those walls, we were able to expand into a naturally-flowing U-shaped kitchen with a seating peninsula, adding a second prep sink for another cook. Removing the gas range, we added double ovens, an induction cooktop, and 30-inch-deep pantry cabinets, thus giving the full-depth refrigerator the appearance of a built-in. L-shaped, floating corner shelves with incorporated LED lights contribute to the openness. While we liked the idea of removing the wall to the existing dining room, the need to keep the family cat out of certain areas led us to remove only half, and installing a gorgeous barn door.
What would normally be considered an appliance garage is actually a recessed space into where we eventually put a new ½ bath, which provides an interesting defined shelf space within the bath.
