We designed and built a custom brand new exterior finish on this suburban home. New vinyl siding, custom brown garage door, new soffit and gutters, lighting and custom metal railings. All of these exterior elements have combined to get a clean streamlined exterior that was cost effective and visually appealing. While this exterior renovation seems simple it is a lot of work to combine the various elements while keeping the look uniform and comprehensive. The designer did a great job and the homeowner is the envy of the neighborhood.

Request Cabinet Quote from Showcase KitchensThe focal point of this Neo-Classical kitchen was designed to be the custom hood area. It’s the first thing you see when walking down the main hallway. The hand chiseled, custom stone hood was originally designed to be made out of wood. We decided on using stone, which was made in Italy, for a more dramatic approach and in the end was more cost effective. This spacious kitchen was designed to be highly functional for entertaining. The double islands, each having their own sink, allow for plenty of room and separate stations for prepping, organizing and cleaning. The kitchen also features a butler’s pantry which includes a custom farmhouse marble sink and a 30” Thermador double electric wall oven. Another area that is inviting and operates as a gathering location, is the bar. Ernesto and his team chose a pyramid style door panel and curved legs at the end of the bar. These were inspired from some old furniture pieces the team had come across. Unique, subtle scroll work added to the legs was done by a local artist. Unique Features The Bentwood custom cabinets, from the kitchen to the laundry room, were truly unique as well. Ernesto and his team worked closely with the engineers and finishers, even traveling to Dallas, to make sure the colors and door details were perfect. A chevron oak flooring finished this kitchen off nicely adding detail and depth to the overall look. The Thermador built in refrigerator and freezer were placed in an optimal location that is easily accessible. The cooking area consists of a 48” Thermador unit with a Sharp microwave drawer. Even in the laundry room, no detail was overlooked. With plenty of space and storage, it features pull-down laundry hangers, large laundry bins, and a folding station.

After working with this client on their home a few years ago, we were given the opportunity to create a landscape design for one of their multi-family properties. The goal was to create a landscape that not only enhances the property and fits the style of the building, but is also as cost effective and low maintenance as possible. We achieved this by keeping a limited plant palette, utilizing gravel and artificial turf, and exploring various options for hardscape and screening to achieve the desired look without blowing the budget. Project Goal: Utilize an unfinished story and a half-space to give each daughter a bedroom on the second floor along with a new full bath. Challenge 1: The sloped ceilings in the area presented a challenge to how we could most cost-effectively add a bathroom within building code limits. Solution 1: We’ve come across this challenge often when trying to fit a bathroom in sloped ceiling spaces and the budget or roof doesn't support adding a dormer. In these cases, we built out what we call a "vanity soffit", a tall soffit spanning from higher on the angled portion down to a comfortable height above the faucet bringing the upper portion of the flat wall forward. Its width typically depends on lighting needs and other considerations in the space. The vanity soffit allows the vanity to drop back to the original wall maintaining floor space and clearances while also providing just enough additional height for a practical mirror. For further flexibility, we typically recommend a pivoting mirror. Challenge 2: Homeowners were told the floor structure was sound to finish for living space. Due to the spans, the first-floor ceiling joists did not meet the requirements to be second-floor floor joists. Solution 2: In order to provide a solid base for the new living space, we consulted our engineer. The existing 2x6 members spanned beyond the distance they could while still structurally supporting the new living space floor. We determined throughout most of the space we needed to add in (“sister”) 2 additional 2x6 joists between the existing joists. This additional work also took place during an unseasonably warm spell in June yet we persevered. So proud of our hard-working team.

In just 3 short days, we completely refreshed this kitchen with a stunning cabinet refacing project. The cabinets were updated with sleek new doors and drawer fronts in a calming Sage SuperMatte finish, paired with brand-new solid wood drawers and heavy-duty undermount glides for lasting durability. To complete the look, the outdated laminate countertops were replaced with an elegant Calacatta Rusta quartz. The best part? A transformation this beautiful doesn’t take months but just a few days! If you’re looking for a fast, cost-effective way to give your kitchen a whole new look, cabinet refacing may be the perfect solution.

This 1914 family farmhouse was passed down from the original owners to their grandson and his young family. The original goal was to restore the old home to its former glory. However, when we started planning the remodel, we discovered the foundation needed to be replaced, the roof framing didn’t meet code, all the electrical, plumbing and mechanical would have to be removed, siding replaced, and much more. We quickly realized that instead of restoring the home, it would be more cost effective to deconstruct the home, recycle the materials, and build a replica of the old house using as much of the salvaged materials as we could. The design of the new construction is greatly influenced by the old home with traditional craftsman design interiors. We worked with a deconstruction specialist to salvage the old-growth timber and reused or re-purposed many of the original materials. We moved the house back on the property, connecting it to the existing garage, and lowered the elevation of the home which made it more accessible to the existing grades. The new home includes 5-panel doors, columned archways, tall baseboards, reused wood for architectural highlights in the kitchen, a food-preservation room, exercise room, playful wallpaper in the guest bath and fun era-specific fixtures throughout.
