In this photo, we are looking into the shower through the glass enclosure - you can just see the reflection of the light switches in the glass. Notice how "clear" this clear glass is. It's called Starfire - or Starphire - glass (a brand name) which IS actually clearer than regular clear glass. Why? Because it contains less iron. In fact, it contains about 90% less iron than regular shower glass. This difference makes it less green, and allows for increased light transmission. It costs more, but can be well worth the investment. Imagine how different this bathroom would look if you were seeing all of that beautiful kintsugi tile through green glass! Notice the shelf in the niche -- that's regular clear glass....see the green edge?

Looking to sell your home, consider home staging to target a higher selling price. Home Staging aims to de-personalize your home and make it appealing to virtually all prospective buyers. The way you live in your home and the way you market your home are two very different things. Your home is competing with every other home on the market. A home that looks like it needs work or isn't move-in ready prompts buyers to low-ball their offers, or eliminate your home from consideration all together. Those homes that are staged to reflect current trends attract and appeal to more buyers, resulting in more offers, faster sales, and higher sale prices. Sometimes, an agent may even recommend your price be increased once your home is staged! A well-staged home can even start a bidding war with multiple offers!

Hawthorne natural thin stone veneer from the Quarry Mill looks stunning on the exterior of this bay window. Hawthorne is a low height ledgestone real stone veneer in semi-consistent shades of tan. The natural sandstone pieces come from the thinner layers of the quarry. Hawthorne’s pieces have relatively straight and parallel tops and bottoms from the clean slabs cut into the thin veneer. The stone can be installed with or without a mortar joint between the individual pieces. If you are planning to drystack the stone, both the mason’s cost to do the installation as well as the waste factor will increase considerably. Hawthorne is a premium quality thin stone veneer imported from overseas. It is in stock and ready to ship.

This residential retreat on the Deschutes River near Maupin, Oregon is uniquely designed around a large central deck overlooking the river. Used for relaxation and entertainment, the deck is partially covered to function as an outdoor room. A large barn door can close off the deck for additional privacy, protection from the westerly winds and security. The deck space also separates the master suite from the great room for an enhanced sense of privacy and intimacy.
By keeping square footage at a minimum and construction straight forward, the simple, cost-effective design met the client's tight budget constraints without compromising features. The shed roof design increases the sense of height of the interior space on the upper level, opening up dramatic easterly views toward the river and hills beyond. The great room combines the kitchen, dining and living room into an open, flexible floor plan. Two guest rooms, a guest bathroom, utility room, mud room and garage efficiently occupy the lower level of the structure.
Located in the high-desert east of the Cascade Mountains, an area prone to range fires, this home is extremely fire-resistant. Features include a fireproof metal roof, concrete pavers instead of wood on the deck and fiber cement siding along the lower level.

Large transitional galley brown floor eat-in kitchen photo in Boston with a farmhouse sink, shaker cabinets, white cabinets, white backsplash, stainless steel appliances, an island and white countertops

The Quarry Mill's Sierra real thin stone veneer adds dimension to the exterior of this residential home as a stunning accent wall. Sierra natural stone veneer is an earthy blend of granites with a weathered and rugged feel. The stones range from approximately 1″-5″ in height and are laid in a linear pattern. The individual pieces of stone provide a rustic yet contemporary look. The pieces have a unique speckled appearance and naturally rough texture. Sierra showcases the interior part of the stone and has been split with a hydraulic press. The colors vary from greys and golds to the occasional brown. Sierra can be installed with the standard half inch mortar joint (shown) or the pieces can be drystacked (tight fit installation). With a drystack installation you can expect both the mason’s cost and waste factor (due to fitting the stones together) to increase substantially.

Without energy-efficient window treatments, as much as 50% of a home's heating and cooling energy can be lost through its windows. All Hunter Douglas window fashions provide window insulation, offering your home increased protection against heat loss during the winter, as well as minimizing the sun's heat or "solar heat" during the summer.
Solar Heat Control
The warmth provided by the sun, its solar energy, may be desirable during the winter to help heat your home, yet it can make a room overly hot and uncomfortable while driving up air conditioning costs in the summer. Many Hunter Douglas products are designed to reduce the amount of solar heat that passes through the window, which is known as the Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC). The lower the SHGC, the more protected your home is from the sun's heat. To enjoy the sun's warmth when desired, simply raise or open the window fashion and invite it in.
