Today’s skyscrapers do not accommodate ever-changing uses, health, and energy crisis.
onE.GLobe proposes organically grown, flexible, and scalable live-work-play structures which can adapt to any condition.
Stress increases the risk of chronic diseases, the leading cause of death and disability with around 75% (Source 1a, 1b).
Improving human health through a thoughtfully designed environment is as important as energy conservation and carbon sequestration. We can also address all three goals with similar solutions, such as allocating large green areas, water features, and diverse uses in proximity. Nature makes people happier and healthier, and it also absorbs stormwater and can be used for renewable energy production. Therefore, we can achieve resiliency for both environment and society easily together.
Amoeba Fusion aims to empower societies by providing a space for decentralized, innovative start-up communities. onE.GLobe considers the built environment a living, breathing, multiplying organism, evolving in nature with harmony. The structure can grow horizontally and vertically by adding new cores in different directions per each site condition. It creates public plazas shaded and shielded by the building as it grows. Fully self-sufficient structure houses flexible 3D printed dwellings and workspaces surrounded by semi-open garden spaces and atrium. Thirty feet deep floor plates receive daylight from the exterior and atrium and can conveniently be used as open-plan office space. Electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems are distributed through modular floor plates, on which 3D printed modules are flexibly plugged in. 3D printed inflatable shells with indoor air cleaning plants house a plug-in kitchen, bedroom, workspace, and bathroom modules. The bridge-connected clusters have decentralized systems with the off-grid micro-grid integrating renewable energy sources and excess energy storage.
Compact layouts provide space for an increasing number of entrepreneurs, making them socialize and inspire near their accommodation. Eliminating corridors in dwelling units with an efficient design and replacing them with the garden space surrounding units achieve this endeavor.
Amoeba Fusion New York is located at a General Commercial Zoning district in NYC with residential and commercial uses. The site currently accommodates six towers. This project explores a more resilient design solution for an innovative, diverse community for the post-pandemic world. Located in the Lincoln Square neighborhood in Manhattan, bordering Hell’s Kitchen with countless restaurants, the site is close to various public transportation, universities, cultural spaces, and businesses, making it ideal for an innovative, creative crowd. Mixed-use commercial and residential buildings are allowed with a floor area bonus of 20% with a public plaza. With tower regulation, there is no minimum lot coverage requirement, and no rule regarding the distribution of floor area allows the tallest buildings in the city.
There are plenty of luxury residential buildings in New York City, but they don’t serve innovative young people and entrepreneurs. Co-living buildings do not provide proper workspaces within the facility. For these reasons, onE.GLobe aims to investigate ways to design long-term live-work-play environments for innovative young people and ease the effects of the future pandemics with its efficient, flexible dwelling units and workspaces surrounded by semi-open garden spaces, atrium, rooftops, public plazas, and wet ponds.

The homeowners were building a new home and wanted to incorporate a beautiful lakeside landscape design. The design was constrained by several factors, including lakeshore setbacks that limited development towards the lake and impacted sideyards, as well as strict impervious surface restrictions that limited installation options. To address these challenges, steppers and 3-foot pathways with planting beds were used to create connection spaces without affecting lot coverage.
Despite these restrictions, the goals for the project were clear: create an open yard that maintains views of the lake, develop connected and versatile entertaining spaces, and use materials and colors that blend seamlessly with the house. The design also aimed to provide ample space for family and friends and incorporate a firepit area, hot tub, cooking area, longue beds, and dining area.

This bungalow in the community of Watermark includes thoughtfully designed front and back yards. The front yard includes feature boulders and poured concrete edging - providing a clean look that is easy to maintain. A statement piece of the design was the use of Rundle flagstone to create a mountain scape in the front. Using custom lighting, this rock feature creates the silhouette of mountains at night, making a beautiful scene in both day and nighttime. The use of Rundle edge stone creates contour and levels in the yard. A 10 mm Rundle rock pathway leads you to the backyard, where you’ll find mature trees for privacy and a stamped concrete patio. The backyard space also includes a stone mason gas fire pit, a small privacy wall, and garden areas that feature colourful perennial plants and coniferous shrubs for winter coverage - creating the perfect entertaining space year round!
This project includes:
10 mm Rundle rock
25 mm Rundle rock
40 mm limestone
Concrete curbing
In-lite scopes
2 mature trees
8 shrubs
20 perennials

This thoughtfully designed covered outdoor kitchen features a built-in stainless steel grill, integrated sink, and ample stone countertop space for food preparation and serving. The brick-clad cabinetry adds durability and texture, while bar-style seating creates a comfortable space for casual dining and entertaining. Overhead coverage provides protection from the elements, making this a functional and inviting year-round outdoor cooking area.

After a consultation with a ShadeFX Product Specialist, the Gibsons elected to go with a “Kissing Canopy” deployment, a technique that places two shade units on the same track. Installing two 12’x16’ manual retractable shades, the homeowners have the flexibility to cover the dining and lounging area independent of each other, without compromising full coverage, if desired.

Our ProV wall mounted range hood with a chimney is a great fit in this beautiful two-toned kitchen. The unique white brick backsplash helps the hood stand out. It provides exceptional coverage for the stainless steel range! Also, we love the subtle shift in colors in the kitchen island – white countertops and a black base. What a nice touch!
The ProV WC is one of our most customizable wall range hoods. It comes with a chimney, too! As an added bonus, the chimney is telescoping, meaning it can retract and expand to fit in your kitchen. The control panel is easily accessible under the hood, and it features a Rheostat knob to adjust your blower power. There's not set speeds on this model; just turn the knob to find the perfect speed depending on what you are cooking.
The ProV WC also features a unique look with slanted stainless steel baffle filters, as the baffle filters in most of our models sit flat under the hood. These filters are dishwasher safe to keep you less focused on cleaning and more focused on cooking in the kitchen.
Finally, the ProV WC features two different blower options: a 1200 CFM local blower or a 1300 CFM inline blower. It's the only model that gives you the option to install your blower in the ductwork, and not inside the range hood itself!

With so much surface area of modern houses dedicated to windows, having control over energy efficiency and privacy is an absolute must. Plantation shutters are the most energy-efficient window treatments available, and can even be installed on those aforementioned sliding glass doors and transom windows. For full-wall windows, shutters offer even more freedom in window coverage since you can open and shut individual sets of louvers, rather than having to pull a whole drapery over your window.

CURVED WHITE OAK STAIRS WITH WROUGHT IRON BALUSTERS. GLASS STAIRWELL
This new 7,200 SF Custom Designed (Rustic/Elegant Farmhouse Ranch) Home was built on part of the foundation of the previous home which was a split level. Our architectural strategy required a continuous first floor (10ft) and the home remained aligned with the existing circle driveway. The rustic metal roof front entrance porch (gas lanterns) leads into a massive 2 story center hall (home of a large, centered gathering table) to a large centered outdoor back yard courtyard (kitchen to the right and sports bar to the left) which centers on the new swimming pool and wide outdoor stairs of the retaining wall required for the extensive stormwater management system. That establishes the center of the home stretching over 100 ft from the front step to the back yard stairs flanked by 2 fire features highlighting the pool. The locations of other rooms listed below are to the right and left of this centered home line. Kitchen, kitchen fireplace, pantry, and guest suite are to the right. Entrance to the finished basement theater room are to the right along with a bar to support events in the center hall. To the left of the center 2 story hall are the exercise room with sauna (with glass garage type door to the front porch), sport bar with theater and see through fireplace, game room, mudroom, laundry, 4 car conditioned garage, and pool changing rooms. From the centered 2 story hall to the right is the glass stairwell and curved stairs made of white oak and wrought iron. These beautiful stairs lead to the library balcony overlooking the massive center hall and large gathering dining table. From the right of the balcony are the primary suite with a private 2nd floor porch and a bedroom suite. From the left of the balcony are 2 more suites with a laundry room, kitchenette, and a large EZ Breeze, closed in porch that overlooks the pool and provides coverage over the pool patio next to the see through fireplace in the sports bar theater room.
The exterior is James Hardie fibercement and limestone veneer. Fascia and frieze boards are capped with heavy roof metal materials. The front porch roof is standing metal seam and columns and ceiling are rustic, reclaimed wood.

Art-Tek Construction partnered with a professional interior designer to transform this home into a bright, modern, and elegant living space. Working closely with the designer and homeowner, we carefully executed the selected colour palette and finishes to ensure every detail reflected the project's vision.
The project included comprehensive surface preparation, meticulous protection of the home, and the application of premium Benjamin Moore interior paints for exceptional colour depth, smooth coverage, and long-lasting durability. Special attention was given to achieving crisp lines, flawless finishes, and a clean, dust-free work environment throughout the project.

TREASURE GARDEN

Designed for a client who wanted a light, bright airy feeling in their kitchen, we chose painted cabinets arranged in an open floor plan around a dark-stained cooking island. To meet the kitchen's varied demands throughout the day, we incorporated multiple types of lighting: dramatic niche lights to highlight the client's art and to give ambiance; targeted task lighting under cabinets and over the stove; and ample recessed ceiling lights for bright, overall coverage. The art niches and under-cabinet lights are on a Lutron Pico wall-mounted remote dimmer, allowing you to change the room's mood with the click of a button. The stainless steel Heartland 6-burner gas stove and free-standing chimney hood create a striking focal point, while the other custom-paneled appliances integrate seamlessly into the surrounding cabinets. Directly behind the stove is the hand-carved travertine farm sink, and a deep garden window that offers more display space for the clients artwork. The backsplash is a mosaic of roughhewn travertine stones with carved travertine switch plate covers, complimenting the St. Cecilia granite countertops throughout the kitchen.
