The owners of this beautiful home in Montlake desperately needed more space for their growing family. We gave them the breathing room they craved by putting an addition on the back of the house that extended the square footage across all three floors (basement, main floor and second floor). This allowed for a more spacious kitchen that opens to the backyard and offers plenty of natural light. We refreshed the existing cabinets with new paint and added more storage with built-in cabinets and a casual dining area with integrated bench seating. We also reconfigured the entire second floor to allow ample space for an airy master suite, plus two more bedrooms and a shared bathroom. In the basement, we lowered the floor to increase the ceiling height, and transformed it into a comfortable space for entertaining friends or relaxing with the family. The remodeled basement now includes a family media room with plenty of built-ins, a wet bar, a guest bedroom, and a bathroom.

We’re excited to showcase one of our most stunning kitchen transformations yet! This space beautifully balances modern elegance with a timeless design that works for every season.
The sleek cabinetry, rich textures, and bold backsplash bring a touch of sophistication, while the warm accents create a cozy atmosphere that feels just right, especially during these fall months.
Though perfect year-round, the subtle touches—like the warm-toned wood floors and soft lighting—add the coziness we all crave as the weather cools. Whether you’re hosting a holiday dinner or enjoying a quiet morning coffee, this kitchen is designed to be the heart of the home.

This project was a major renovation in collaboration with Payne & Payne Builders and Peninsula Architects. The dated home was taken down to the studs, reimagined, reconstructed and completely furnished for modern-day family life. A neutral paint scheme complemented the open plan. Clean lined cabinet hardware with accented details like glass and contrasting finishes added depth. No detail was spared with attention to well scaled furnishings, wall coverings, light fixtures, art, accessories and custom window treatments throughout the home. The goal was to create the casual, comfortable home our clients craved while honoring the scale and architecture of the home.

Home away from home is where we often meet our clients, especially in Bend. They crave a welcoming and approachable, yet luxurious and well curated vacation home. This custom home in Central Oregon’s Caldera Springs neighborhood was no exception. An investment property the owners and their family will use occasionally, the home had to speak to their overall aesthetic, while graciously accommodating rental guests throughout the year. Design for each space was a collaboration with our clients, who selected “inspiration” fabrics and artwork that tell a story and bring warmth and personality to the home. We designed hard-wearing custom furniture, composed layers of luxe bedding, placed photography by local artist and photographer Chris Murray, and added comfortable and low maintenance furniture outside, where everyone wants to be year-round in Bend. Working with the property manager, we checked every item off a comprehensive list to outfit the chef’s kitchen and ensure guests would have all the comforts of home. This home is available for short-term vacation rental through Bennington Properties in Sunriver, OR.

Other than a modern office shed and some overgrown ginger, this yard was a blank slate. Our client was craving privacy, in the form of a lush secret garden that would give a sense of arrival. BE Landscape Design, incorporated, many native CA plants all following a meandering path that felt as if it had just been discovered. We look forward to photographing this property in the Spring to see how our fledgling trees are filling out.

This custom pool area was inspired by the palatial pools at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, these homeowners craved their own piece of paradise closer to home. From grand columns and diamond inlays to intricate balustrades and Techo Bloc's Travertina, Gary Duff Designs delivered a dreamy design right to their backyard. Revamped patios, featuring additional seating and a hospitable outdoor kitchen keeps the entire outdoor space feeling just as inviting as it is inspiring. The backyard’s classic old-world charm will leave you thinking of faraway places under the Tuscan sun.

This empty nester couple decided it was time to create a beautiful retreat in their master bedroom. I designed a fresh palette of soft blues, and greens and layered neutrals to create the sense of calm and beauty we all crave for restfulness.

This room was previously a separate kitchen and dining space. By removing the wall int he middle of the room, and spanning abeam the width of the room we were able to create a much more functional great room for these clients. With an industrial feel with brick, exposed beams, pipe and plank details throughout, this space is something a little different. perfect for this family with an open mind and a craving for anything but ordinary.

Brookhill Raised Panel is casual and comfortable in Oak finished in Wheat with a Burnt Sienna Glaze. This traditional design finds its rhythm in the repeating pattern of the corner Crossmate wine storage cubes with Chi mullion grids in upper wall cabinets. Strategically placed details, such as an apron sink base pulled forward and balanced by a pair of decorative fluted legs, along with Provincial valances on the toe kick, give this design the architectural interest traditionalists crave. Even the finest furniture makers would be envious of the rich Vineyard finish, open shelving and deluxe end treatment of the Cherry Park Place Reverse Raised Panel island.
