For this Oak Tree home in North Edmond, our clients wanted to modernize the layout and function of the kitchen, while creating a kitchen for entertaining guests. In addition to opening the walls on both sides of the kitchen, we also removed the solid brick (not pavers) flooring laid by the builder. We created a work zone around the center of the kitchen with our custom cabinetry and integrated floating shelves for easy access to dinnerware. The polished brass venthood provides full ventilation with stunning appeal. For island seating, we created a lowered counter area with reeded cabinetry behind. The integrated lighting along with pendant lighting really makes this kitchen a show stopper. In addition to the kitchen we also redesigned their entertainment wet bar. This design created an archway with floating decorative shelves and custom lighting. Elegant, functional, and stunning!

This stunning luxury kitchen blends timeless elegance with exceptional functionality, creating the heart of this beautifully designed custom home. Designed by Crespo Design Group, the space features custom white cabinetry extending to the ceiling, a large quartz waterfall island, marble-look porcelain flooring, and a professional-grade range that combines everyday performance with sophisticated style. Every detail has been thoughtfully selected to create a kitchen that is as beautiful as it is practical.
Three sculptural pendant lights anchor the expansive island, while custom upholstered counter stools provide comfortable seating for casual dining and entertaining. A soft neutral color palette, designer finishes, and layered textures create a warm, inviting atmosphere that complements the home's open-concept layout. The handcrafted tile backsplash, integrated storage solutions, and premium appliances further enhance the kitchen's timeless appeal while offering the convenience expected in a luxury custom residence.
Designed with entertaining in mind, the kitchen flows seamlessly into the adjoining great room and outdoor living spaces, making it the perfect gathering place for family and friends. This thoughtful connection between the interior and exterior reflects the relaxed elegance of Florida living while maximizing natural light and functionality.

This gorgeous, nature-inspired Great Room—comprised of the kitchen, dining area, and sitting room—was reimagined for some wonderful repeat clients, beginning with a small, treasured piece of art.
Their large 1950s ranch house nestled into a gentle hill surrounded by orchards of fragrant orange, lemon, and cherry trees initially featured a too-small kitchen adjacent to a warren of small spaces with low ceilings serving as a dining and sitting area. They dreamed of a more spacious, light-filled layout.
A complete redesign of the home not only resolved spatial constraints but also embraced the beauty of the home’s natural surroundings. By removing walls and creating an open-plan layout, we enhanced the flow and connectivity between the kitchen, dining, and sitting areas, seamlessly integrating the outdoors with the indoors.
The relocated kitchen now faces the backyard, to facilitate outdoor entertaining and features a large island, serving as a welcoming focal point for both cooking and socializing. I designed a distinctive ceiling feature above the island, crafted from planks of the adjacent vaulted ceiling, mirroring the shape of the island below. This feature adds architectural interest and visually connects the flat kitchen plane with the vaulted plank ceiling of the sitting area, creating a harmonious sense of continuity and warmth.
A beautiful, prized painting of a bird on a branch created the direction for the color and texture palette. An intriguing yellow-green-tan background in the art guided my choices for the backsplash tile (an iridescent version mimics light glinting on water) and countertops. The kitchen's soothing color palette features various shades of natural green, while the dining area introduces feather-blue tones through chair upholstery and rug. Just steps away, the inviting sitting area features a rebuilt fireplace clad in cut, polished Haisa marble tiles in a vertical pattern. The soft, generous seating creates a comfortable spot for movie nights or cozying up by the fire on a cold winter evening. The elegant, simple silhouettes of the furniture enhance the serene and calming atmosphere of the space.

A large entertainment area was created in keeping with the classic feel of the home while introducing modern materials. We created a large patio area built with sleek modern multi-tone pavers and natural stone steps to allow entry from multiple rooms of the house. A built in BBQ area was created with a privacy screen to allow for entertaining and large ornamental cedars were planted to surround the property line. Small boxwood hedges and historic plants were used to create a timeless back drop and year-round interest.

Nestled against the serene backdrop of Lake Sammamish, this mid-century modern house has undergone a breathtaking architectural renovation that blends warm design with contemporary elegance. The heart of the home is a stunning custom plaster wall, its soft texture and warm hues creating an inviting focal point that beautifully contrasts with the clean lines and expansive windows. The natural light floods the living spaces, highlighting the meticulous craftsmanship that defines the entire renovation. Every angle reveals the tranquil lake, with views that seem to stretch infinitely, inviting the outdoors in and creating a seamless connection with nature.
The kitchen stands as a testament to modern luxury, featuring rift-sawn white oak cabinets that evoke warmth and sophistication. Their intricate grain patterns add depth, while the smooth quartz countertops provide both durability and a sleek aesthetic. The custom cabinetry showcases innovative storage solutions, making it not only a visual delight but also an incredibly functional space for family gatherings. Each detail was thoughtfully considered, with the architect and builder collaborating closely to ensure that the design met the unique needs of the family, resulting in a kitchen that is as joyful to cook in as it is beautiful to behold.
The renovation also shines with elegant ceramic white light fixtures that gracefully offset the stunning views of Lake Sammamish. These fixtures not only illuminate the spaces but also serve as sculptural accents that enhance the home’s mid-century modern aesthetic. Their soft glow complements the natural light, casting a warm ambiance throughout the day and evening. In the heart of the kitchen, a custom breakfast nook beckons, designed with furniture thoughtfully selected by the architect to create an intimate gathering space. Here, the family can savor their morning coffee while soaking in the breathtaking vistas, turning each breakfast into a cherished communion with the tranquil beauty of the lake. This cozy corner not only fosters connection but also encapsulates the spirit of the home, where every meal becomes a celebration of nature and togetherness.
In the primary bathroom, exquisite glass tiles shimmer like jewels, transforming the space into a serene retreat. The careful selection of materials reflects a commitment to quality and style, with each element harmonizing to create a luxurious yet comfortable environment. Throughout the home, the architect’s vision is complemented by the builder’s expertise, ensuring that every feature—from the placement of windows to the flow of rooms—enhances the family’s experience. The result is a haven of happiness, where each room invites creativity, connection, and tranquility, making this residence not just a house, but a cherished home.

Our Austin studio decided to go bold with this project by ensuring that each space had a unique identity in the Mid-Century Modern style bathroom, butler's pantry, and mudroom. We covered the bathroom walls and flooring with stylish beige and yellow tile that was cleverly installed to look like two different patterns. The mint cabinet and pink vanity reflect the mid-century color palette. The stylish knobs and fittings add an extra splash of fun to the bathroom.
The butler's pantry is located right behind the kitchen and serves multiple functions like storage, a study area, and a bar. We went with a moody blue color for the cabinets and included a raw wood open shelf to give depth and warmth to the space. We went with some gorgeous artistic tiles that create a bold, intriguing look in the space.
In the mudroom, we used siding materials to create a shiplap effect to create warmth and texture – a homage to the classic Mid-Century Modern design. We used the same blue from the butler's pantry to create a cohesive effect. The large mint cabinets add a lighter touch to the space.

This luxury master bathroom remodel in West Chester, Pennsylvania was designed to create a calm, elegant space that blends classic detailing with modern functionality. Completed by Craftsworth Construction, this Chester County bathroom renovation focuses on timeless materials, custom cabinetry, and thoughtful layout improvements that transform the space into a relaxing retreat.
The centerpiece of the room is a freestanding soaking tub positioned beneath a large window, allowing natural light to flood the space while creating a spa-like atmosphere for relaxation. Surrounding the tub, traditional wainscoting and soft neutral wall tones help balance the bright finishes and add warmth to the overall design.
A custom double vanity with gray painted cabinetry provides generous storage while maintaining a refined transitional style. The vanity is topped with elegant marble countertops and paired with brushed nickel fixtures, creating a subtle contrast against the cabinetry while reinforcing the timeless character of the bathroom.
The frameless glass walk-in shower features classic white subway tile walls paired with a striking herringbone tile accent wall, adding depth and visual interest to the shower enclosure. A contrasting hex tile shower floor introduces texture and complements the marble-look tile flooring used throughout the bathroom.
Large-format marble-style floor tile brings brightness and continuity to the space while enhancing the luxurious feel of the room. Carefully selected lighting, mirrors, and plumbing fixtures complete the design, giving the bathroom a polished yet comfortable atmosphere.
The finished result is a transitional master bathroom that combines classic craftsmanship with modern comfort, creating a space that feels both elegant and functional for everyday living.
This project was completed by Craftsworth Construction, a bathroom remodeling contractor serving West Chester, Chester County, and the surrounding communities throughout southeastern Pennsylvania.

The goal for this 1939 Tudor-style story-and-a-half home was to create a kitchen that offered the conveniences, storage, and performance of a modern workspace while preserving the warmth, craftsmanship, and vintage charm that made the home special. The client, an avid home cook, wanted the room to feel as though it had always belonged to the house, with thoughtful upgrades that respected the original architecture rather than competing with it. Just as important, she needed a more efficient layout with enough storage for small appliances, so everyday cooking would no longer require carrying items up from the lower level.
Several existing conditions shaped the design approach. The kitchen retained original, amber-stained birch woodwork that the client wished to keep, and the compact footprint was interrupted by six doorways and two windows, none of which were to be moved, altered, or replaced. A previous flooring update had left the door casings undercut too short, creating visible gaps where the casing met the floor. The existing vintage 40-inch range also lacked proper ventilation, yet the client wished to accommodate a refrigerator, dishwasher, cooktop, double ovens, built-in microwave, and effective venting above the cooktop into the new kitchen layout.
To honor the original millwork, beaded inset-style cherry cabinetry was selected in a soft, hand-rubbed finish that will deepen over time and develop a natural patina. Charcoal-gray soapstone countertops complement the cabinetry while reinforcing the historic character of the home with an organic, timeworn texture. The former breakfast nook was transformed into a butler’s pantry, adding valuable base cabinet storage and expanded work surfaces for frequently used small appliances. Also in the butler’s pantry, a single upper cabinet was paired with open shelves to give an open, airy feeling while adding character and practical storage. A classic single-bowl apron-front workstation sink contributes both period-appropriate character and practical prep and cleanup function.
Because the home’s openings were such a defining feature, the design worked within the existing architecture instead of altering it. Custom plinth blocks were created for each doorway to extend the original casing gracefully down to the new natural red oak flooring, resolving the earlier construction issue while adding a detail that feels authentic to the age of the house. Despite the number of door and window openings, the new layout provides a significantly more functional, built-in kitchen with an improved work triangle for serious cooking.
Appliance placement was carefully planned to deliver the requested performance without overwhelming the small room. Three cooking functions (double ovens & microwave) were consolidated into one location with a GE Café double oven featuring Advantium Technology, while the client’s compact 31-inch refrigerator was reused to preserve space. A sleek 30-inch induction cooktop provides efficient cooking, and a Vent-A-Hood ARS ductless vent hood supplies needed ventilation without requiring a duct run to the exterior.
The finish palette balances richness, texture, and historical sensitivity. A deeply textured navy backsplash tile adds depth and dramatic shadow play against the soapstone, while wallpaper in the back entry echoes the tile’s geometric pattern to visually connect the adjoining spaces. Oil-rubbed bronze cabinet hardware and light fixtures enhance the warmth of the cherry cabinetry and complete the antique-inspired feel.
Lighting was layered to make the compact kitchen brighter, more useful, and more inviting. Vintage-style semi-flush ceiling fixtures establish the overall tone, while dimmable puck lights highlight select areas and undercabinet task lighting keeps work surfaces well illuminated.
The completed kitchen now feels both highly functional and deeply rooted in the home’s history. Rich cherry cabinetry, velvety soapstone, natural red oak flooring, navy tile, bronze accents, and carefully preserved birch trim work together to create a warm, cohesive space that celebrates timeless craftsmanship. By increasing storage, improving workflow, integrating modern appliances, and respecting the Tudor home’s original character, the design achieves the client’s vision: a kitchen that feels personal, practical, historically appropriate, and as though it has always been there.

This breathtaking whole-home renovation is a masterclass in balancing raw, natural materials with refined coastal elegance. Reclaimed wood, fieldstone, linen, cane, and soft blue hues weave a cohesive story from the soaring great room all the way up to the nursery — creating a home that feels both grounded in the land and kissed by the sea.
Great Room
The emotional heart of the home is a spectacular great room anchored by a floor-to-ceiling fieldstone fireplace with a hand-hewn reclaimed wood beam mantel and a herringbone brick firebox. Flanking the fireplace are generous built-in white shelving units with linen-backed interiors, beautifully styled with blue-and-white chinoiserie, ceramic vessels, and coastal curiosities.
Overhead, a dramatic cathedral ceiling with exposed reclaimed wood trusses in a king-post configuration draws the eye upward and gives the space an almost barn-like grandeur — softened immediately by the warmth of crisp white walls and abundant natural light pouring in through a wall of French doors. Those doors open to a deck overlooking mature woodland, blurring the boundary between inside and out.
The furnishings strike a balance that feels lived-in and luxurious at once. Two generous cream linen sofas face each other across a soft blue-gray upholstered square ottoman, while a pair of cognac saddle-leather swivel chairs add warmth and contrast. A stone pedestal side table, a rattan tray, and an oversized abstract seascape canvas above the mantel complete a room that is effortlessly inviting.
Kitchen & Dining
The open-plan kitchen and dining space flows seamlessly from the great room, united by the same reclaimed beam ceiling and wide-plank light oak hardwood floors. The kitchen itself is a dream: custom white inset cabinetry with brushed nickel hardware surrounds a showstopping island with a pale blue-gray painted base and a warm natural butcher block top — a choice that brings organic texture and approachability to an otherwise polished space.
A handmade zellige-style light blue brick backsplash adds subtle artisanal character behind a professional-grade six-burner gas range framed by a tailored white custom range hood. Open glass shelves nearby display a curated collection of blue-and-white chinoiserie vases, adding personality and a collected feel. Clear glass-and-nickel pendant lanterns hang over the island, while a stunning crystal rod linear chandelier marks the dining area — a glamorous counterpoint to all the rustic texture in the room.
Cane-back counter stools and a matching set of cane dining chairs in white keep the palette light, fresh, and connected to the home's coastal character. A stone arch passageway between the kitchen and adjacent rooms adds architectural drama and reinforces the home's commitment to natural materiality.
Staircase & Entry
The staircase is a design moment in its own right. A classic woven runner in gray with a crisp navy border brings pattern and polish to the oak treads, while a built-in window seat with a navy cushion at the landing creates a charming reading nook. A nautical-inspired abstract canvas on the entry wall sets the tonal palette for the upper level.
Primary Bedroom
Upstairs, the primary bedroom is a soft, serene retreat wrapped in a soothing dusty blue — walls and ceiling painted the same tranquil tone for an enveloping, cocoon-like effect. A white linen platform bed with an upholstered headboard sits beneath a wide horizontal panoramic cloud painting in a warm wood frame, evoking an open sky. The nightstands — in a soft white with brass ring pulls — are paired with ribbed ceramic table lamps that echo the room's quiet coastal sensibility.
Blue-and-white gingham curtains on a brass rod, a soft white textured carpet, a cream leather recliner, and a slim brass reading floor lamp round out a room that feels simultaneously fresh and deeply restful. Blue embroidered bedding and a striped bolster pillow tie the whole palette together with gentle precision.
Nursery
A thoughtfully designed nursery shares the upper level's soft blue palette, with a classic white Jenny Lind spindle crib, a natural wood book rack, a wicker whale toy basket, and a gold circular mirror creating a space that is sweet without being saccharine. The same cloud painting above the bed and the soft blue walls create a dreamy, sky-like atmosphere perfectly suited for a young child.

We updated this 1907 two-story family home for re-sale. We added modern design elements and amenities while retaining the home’s original charm in the layout and key details. The aim was to optimize the value of the property for a prospective buyer, within a reasonable budget.
New French doors from kitchen and a rear bedroom open out to a new bi-level deck that allows good sight lines, functional outdoor living space, and easy access to a garden full of mature fruit trees. French doors from an upstairs bedroom open out to a private high deck overlooking the garden. The garage has been converted to a family room that opens to the garden.
The bathrooms and kitchen were remodeled the kitchen with simple, light, classic materials and contemporary lighting fixtures. New windows and skylights flood the spaces with light. Stained wood windows and doors at the kitchen pick up on the original stained wood of the other living spaces.
New redwood picture molding was created for the living room where traces in the plaster suggested that picture molding has originally been. A sweet corner window seat at the living room was restored. At a downstairs bedroom we created a new plate rail and other redwood trim matching the original at the dining room. The original dining room hutch and woodwork were restored and a new mantel built for the fireplace.
We built deep shelves into space carved out of the attic next to upstairs bedrooms and added other built-ins for character and usefulness. Storage was created in nooks throughout the house. A small room off the kitchen was set up for efficient laundry and pantry space.
We provided the future owner of the house with plans showing design possibilities for expanding the house and creating a master suite with upstairs roof dormers and a small addition downstairs. The proposed design would optimize the house for current use while respecting the original integrity of the house.

The owners of this treasured family home from the 1930s asked us to create a timeless and efficient kitchen as part
of a whole house renovation.
Taking cues from the new beamed ceiling we used a combination of cherry and painted off-white cabinets to create a warm and functional layout. Framed wall panels with maple burl flank the hood, new large angled window at the sink wall, and wall adjacent to the wall ovens. These create a beautiful back drop for decorative sconces.
Burl end panels are also featured on the large island with furniture legs that include detailed brass feet, and a stunning reclaimed chestnut wood top. The island houses refrigerator drawers, a second dishwasher, a prep sink, and ample seating.
A new Roquefort blue Cornufe range with brass accents creates a focal point across from the main entrance to the room. Above the range a custom hood in matching high sheen paint features a decorative brass edge moulding.
Live-edge cherry shelves with decorative scroll brackets are positioned on either side of the hood, and adjacent to the wall ovens.
The large porcelain apron sink, classic brass hardware, quartzite countertops & mosaic marble backsplash add to the timeless appeal of this traditional yet modern kitchen.
