When considering the scheme for the Corner Table Café, the Looms’ team opted to use the muted hues of Nantucket’s natural land and seascape (celadon, foggy gray, seashell white) – along with some local favorites, like Nantucket Red. The walls were decorative painted by Riptide Finishes in the colors of cream, gold and silver. With an eye on sustainability some of the old wood from the original building was painted and used in the ceiling. Hubbardton Forge light fixtures adorn the wall and hang from the ceiling. The furnishings in the café include built-in banquettes in an oak finish with celadon leather cushions with red wash oak café chairs. The celadon leather cushions are from Jerry Pair ‘In the Moo’d’, chosen for it's durability in high traffic areas. The pillow are Katie Leede fabric and the tables, coffee tables and chairs are from Design Workshop. Other inviting seating includes a Lee Industries upholstered sofa in a textured caramel high performance fabric ('Odin' fabric by Anichini). The two armchairs are Lee Industries covered in Duralee fabric in Nantucket Red and turquoise tones with flame stitching.

Action Kitchen:
One of the challenges of the project was to not only have a highly functional space, which meant having the components of a commercial kitchen, all while making it look attractive. Keeping the second floor Action Kitchen space bright and full of light was a main consideration, which is why the palette of light green was chosen for the walls. Housefitters played large role in selecting the cabinetry, tiles and appliances. Ensuring that the noise levels were not distracting to the other parts of the building, an intricate acoustical ceiling panel was designed. Not noticeable to the untrained eye, these panels are covered with a metallic acoustical fabric, which balances the workspace sound.
Nantucket Looms supplied the table by Design Workshop - a custom-designed center island with an oak top and steel legs. The legs are on on casters, which allowed flexibility for the space.
The AKDO tile from Housefitters was chosen for the stainless steel element and the warm neutral sand tones that remind us of the beautiful beaches of Nantucket, with a hint of stainless to reflect the contemporary feel.

CSU transformed this kitchen into a timeless masterpiece. We said goodbye to outdated aesthetics and welcomed a fresh, modern look that combines functionality with elegance.
Starting with the heart of the kitchen, the painted White Dove cabinetry brings a bright and airy feel, enhancing the sense of space and openness. Complemented by luxurious quartzite countertops, the kitchen surfaces are not only stunning but also durable and easy to maintain, ensuring they withstand the test of time.
The focal point of the kitchen is the meticulously crafted tile backsplash. The herringbone pattern over the stove adds a touch of sophistication and texture. Paired with the warmth of hardwood flooring, seamlessly filled in where cabinets were relocated, this kitchen exudes a cozy yet contemporary ambiance.
With the sink moved from its awkward corner space, the kitchen's flow is enhanced, making meal prep and cleanup a breeze. The new, farmhouse sink is perfectly positioned to optimize functionality and style. With polished nickel faucets and amazing gold pendants, every detail exudes luxury and refinement.
The ventilation system was upgraded from a downdraft to a sleek recirculating hood, ensuring optimal air quality while maintaining a seamless aesthetic.
The new design embraces the practicality of a redesigned layout, transitioning from a double-height peninsula to an L-shaped configuration, maximizing counter space and efficiency. Cabinets have been skillfully relocated to accommodate a new slide-in range, complete with convenient spice cabinets on each side, ensuring the culinary essentials are always within reach.
With our meticulous attention to detail and dedication to quality craftsmanship, this kitchen remodel is not just a renovation but a transformational experience, tailored to the owners' unique styles and needs. Say hello to a kitchen that is as functional as it is beautiful, a space where memories are made, and culinary dreams come to life.

The outdoor lighting here is by Hubbardton Forge of Vermont. It was chosen for its handmade look, innovative design and modern American blacksmith aesthetic. The door is the repainted original door to the building.

The building was in poor condition and required a complete overhaul, as well as a new addition to house the commercial kitchen and dining room. The Looms’ design team of Liz Winship and Mary Beth Ferro were brought in early on in the process to work closely with the architects and contractors to collaborate in designing a space that would blend the historic integrity of the period building and the neighborhood with the practical, code-driven requirements of a multi-functional commercial space. The “look” was to be inspired by Nantucket’s unique land and seascape, while also feeling a little “on trend” and contemporary. The outdoor lighting here is by Hubbardton Forge of Vermont.
