A custom painted magnetic chalkboard gives this little 4-year old a canvas to create and mount new artwork on. Coordinating with her reading armchair, the robins egg blue contrasts well with the bright and dark pinks throughout the rest of the room.

Add a chalkboard calendar to organize your life and schedule and grocery list!

The goal for this light filled finished attic was to create a play space where two young boys could nurture and develop their creative and imaginative selves. A neutral tone was selected for the walls as a foundation for the bright pops of color added in furnishings, area rug and accessories throughout the room. We took advantage of the room’s interesting angles and created a custom chalk board that followed the lines of the ceiling. Magnetic circles from Land of Nod add a playful pop of color and perfect spot for magnetic wall play. A ‘Space Room’ behind the bike print fabric curtain is a favorite hideaway with a glow in the dark star filled ceiling and a custom litebrite wall. Custom Lego baseplate removable wall boards were designed and built to create a Flexible Lego Wall. The family was interested in the concept of a Lego wall but wanted to keep the space flexible for the future. The boards (designed by Jennifer Gardner Design) can be moved to the floor for Lego play and then easily hung back on the wall with a cleat system to display their 3-dimensional Lego creations! This room was great fun to design and we hope it will provide creative and imaginative play inspiration in the years to come!

Customer wanted a wall to mark where they have been in the world and where they would like to go. We suggested they paint the wall with magnetic paint and then put our custom wallpaper map mural over top. You can now mark your locations with earth magnets and never have to put holes in your wall. The client asked us to do the interior styling for the nursery of her unborn baby. The gender of the baby was going to be a surprise so we styled the room in a way that wood be suitable for either a boy or a girl. We styled the room with furniture, soft furnishings and accessories. We used inviting colours, added cute animal pictures and created a wall mural. When the baby was born (a girl!) some pink accents were added to the scheme.

The U-shaped kitchen has reclaimed wood cabinets, soapstone counters and a farm sink custom crafted by Tom Shadley of Shadley's Soapstone in Covina. Drawer pulls shaped like whale tails are from Rejuvenation. Upper cabinets were ruled out so that windows could let in more natural light.
