Designed by Lauren Hunt of Reico Kitchen & Bath in Charlotte, NC this transitional style white and grey kitchen design features Green Forest Cabinetry in the Sierra door style in 2 finishes. The perimeter kitchen cabinets features a White finish and the kitchen island cabinets feature a Summit Grey finish. Kitchen countertops are marble in the color Fantasy Brown. Kitchen appliances are KitchenAid and Whirlpool. Kitchen tile backsplash is Soho Studio Alchimia White 3' x 12". For the customer, "working with Lauren and everyone involved was a pleasure. As a recently purchased home, our clients quickly decided they needed to make some major adjustments. The home was pretty outdated and didn’t speak to the young family’s unique style, but we wanted to keep the welcoming character of this Mediterranean bungalow in tact. The classic white kitchen with a new layout is the perfect backdrop for the family. Brass accents add a touch of luster throughout and modernizes the fixtures and hardware. While the main common areas feature neutral color palettes, we quickly gave each room a burst of energy through bright accent colors and patterned textiles. The kids’ rooms are the most playful, showcasing bold wallcoverings, bright tones, and even a teepee tent reading nook. We planned a thoughtful redesign of this beautiful home while retaining many of the existing features. We wanted this house to feel the immediacy of its environment. So we carried the exterior front entry style into the interiors, too, as a way to bring the beautiful outdoors in. In addition, we added patios to all the bedrooms to make them feel much bigger. Luckily for us, our temperate California climate makes it possible for the patios to be used consistently throughout the year. The original kitchen design did not have exposed beams, but we decided to replicate the motif of the 30" living room beams in the kitchen as well, making it one of our favorite details of the house. To make the kitchen more functional, we added a second island allowing us to separate kitchen tasks. The sink island works as a food prep area, and the bar island is for mail, crafts, and quick snacks. We designed the primary bedroom as a relaxation sanctuary – something we highly recommend to all parents. It features some of our favorite things: a cognac leather reading chair next to a fireplace, Scottish plaid fabrics, a vegetable dye rug, art from our favorite cities, and goofy portraits of the kids. --- Project designed by Courtney Thomas Design in La Cañada. Designer, Kapan Shipman, created two contemporary fireplaces and unique built-in displays in this historic Andersonville home. The living room cleverly uses the unique angled space to house a sleek stone and wood fireplace with built in shelving and wall-mounted tv. We also custom built a vertical built-in closet at the back entryway as a mini mudroom for extra storage at the door. In the open-concept dining room, a gorgeous white stone gas fireplace is the focal point with a built-in credenza buffet for the dining area. At the front entryway, Kapan designed one of our most unique built ins with floor-to-ceiling wood beams anchoring white pedestal boxes for display. Another beauty is the industrial chic stairwell combining steel wire and a dark reclaimed wood bannister.

The Robinhood Residence is a small house renovation for a family that loves the scale and quaint setting of their home, but was quickly outgrowing its dated appearance and storage allowance. The main tasks for Content were creating a clear organization and simple flow to the home while bringing cohesion to the previous renovations. Custom cabinet pieces were designed for new storage and room focal points. A balance was struck, opening up visibility between rooms while maintaining the client's beloved elements from a quirky mid century renovation.

The Imperial floor plan was a custom created floor plan to incorporate an open floor plan that would be great for entertaining. This home was constructed as the model home for the community of Prairie Pass in Apison.
