This early 19th century house was renovated to incorporate a large wing which allowed for a master bedroom suite, custom kitchen, living room and study.
The arched form of the large window and the recessed bay window recall later 19th century American architecture.
The original stair was restored. The new railing is composed of antique newels and reproduced balusters.
Custom structural columns, adorned with aluminum leaves and tiny light fixtures divide the spaces of the kitchen.
Spruce cabinets and dark green granite highlight the kitchen. The cabinets are arranged as pieces of furniture, each serving a particular purpose.

In this bathroom remodel for a 1930s Tudor Revival home, we were asked to bring modern function to a beloved space—without losing its original soul. The project, featured in Inside KB: At Home with the Kings, showcases our dedication to architectural integrity and personal storytelling through design.
We created a fully enclosed shower room, where a soaking tub and shower share a beautifully glass-wrapped space. The floors feature zero-threshold entry with 1" white jade hex tile, creating a seamless and elevated foundation. The wet walls are lined with hand-glazed 2.5" x 5" porcelain tiles, adding rich texture and timeless elegance, complemented by a sleek, modern linear drain for seamless water flow.
Outside the shower, a charming, French-inspired Schumacher wallpaper adds warmth and character, while a built-in antique vanity feels entirely at home within the historic architecture. Every finish and fixture was thoughtfully selected to respect the past while creating a space that’s deeply livable for today
