Custom niches hold all your shower essentials, while a hand shower wand and rain shower head add to the spa-like feel. A recessed fireplace adds warmth to the family room, while a new home gym provides a space for fitness enthusiasts. All topped off with Bayhill Blond LVT flooring for a fresh, modern look throughout. It's the perfect blend of style and functionality, tailored to elevate every aspect of daily living.

What began as an empty hallway and stair landing is now a masterfully transformed zone of custom built-ins and intentional functionality. Every panel, pull, and cabinet was thoughtfully designed to maximize previously unused space, resulting in a storage solution that feels both seamless and sophisticated.
On one side, tall custom cabinetry conceals everything from seasonal storage to household essentials, while a hidden pull-out pantry-style drawer takes advantage of even the tightest under-stair void. Across the hall, a charming mudroom-style bench with integrated storage creates the perfect landing spot—complete with playful upholstery and a statement pet portrait that brings personality to the space.
This is smart design at its best: turning architectural limitations into high-function, high-style moments that elevate daily living without sacrificing aesthetics.

Homeowner Services of Michigan (HSM) is excited to share the details of a new 16' x 22' family room expansion in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This project reflects our dedication to meeting our clients' specific needs.
Our clients approached us needing more space for their growing family and wanted a seamless integration with their existing home. After thorough consultations, we developed a plan to bring their vision to life.
The project began with careful architectural planning. We worked with a local architect to create detailed plans and secured all necessary permits to ensure compliance with local building codes.
Site preparation involved demolishing an existing carport, grading, and excavation to prepare the building pad for the new foundation. This step was essential to ensure a stable base for the construction.
Our team then focused on structural framing, tying the new addition to the existing home. We ensured that the new structure matched the current architectural style for a seamless blend. The addition was then roofed and sheathed to provide a sturdy and weatherproof exterior.
Next, we addressed the electrical work, installing new circuits for lighting, HVAC, and receptacles, and adding smoke and carbon monoxide detectors to meet safety standards. A licensed journeyman electrician performed the electrical service to ensure high-quality and compliant installations.
Insulation and drywall installation followed. We installed batt insulation to meet or exceed Michigan Energy Code requirements. The interior surfaces were finished with drywall, taping, mudding, sanding, and priming to prepare for painting. Baseboard molding and trim around doors and windows added the finishing touches.
Exterior features were also important. We framed and installed new windows and a front entry door and added a front eyebrow vent feature to match the existing structure. Vinyl siding was installed to complete the exterior, ensuring a cohesive look and enhanced curb appeal.
Throughout the project, we maintained a clean and professional worksite, disposing of debris responsibly and minimizing disruption to the client's daily lives. Our focus was always on delivering quality and ensuring client satisfaction.
This home addition project highlights our commitment to understanding and fulfilling our clients' needs. We are proud to have added valuable space and enhanced the overall functionality and aesthetic of the home.
These folks had a vision, a budget, and a whole lot of patience. We got through this family room remodel during a global pandemic. What great people to work with!

For this project, the chosen range was Nobilia 945 Easytouch combined with 966 Lacquered Laminate in a stunning Fjord Blue Ultra Matt finish.
The worktops, supplied by Algarve Granite, were 12mm CRL Nero Natural CER104N ceramic with a Grey mirror finish, adding a sleek and contemporary edge to the kitchen. Gerald wanted to update his master bathroom with a contemporary design that combined natural elements and improved functionality. His goal was to create a space that felt open, inviting, and thoughtfully designed.
A dividing wall between the tub and shower was removed, opening up the space for a custom walk-in shower. The new shower includes a ceiling-mounted rain head and a handheld shower, both featuring Brizo Kintsu Brilliance Black Onyx finish.
Kenridge Ribbon Maple Brown 24x48 tiles from TileBar were selected for the shower walls, stacked vertically to enhance the sense of height. The shower floor features Anthea Earth 2x2 Mosaic tiles, providing texture and durability.
A recessed niche was installed for convenient storage, keeping essentials within reach. Frameless glass panels with matte black clips keep the shower feeling open and refined.
The vanity features a Signature Hardware Aliso Natural Teak 48” cabinet with an Arctic White Quartz countertop, paired with a Brizo Allaria wall-mounted faucet in Brilliance Black Onyx.
A Kohler Verdera recessed mirror with a magnifying feature enhances both style and function. Anthea Earth 24x48 matte tiles from Arizona Tile extend from the flooring up the walls, creating a cohesive and inviting look.
The TOTO Aquia IV toilet with a bidet seat and recessed niche shelving enhances comfort and storage. Inax Ombre Border Black tiles near the entrance add a bold accent.

Our clients wanted to increase the size of their kitchen, which was small, in comparison to the overall size of the home. They wanted a more open livable space for the family to be able to hang out downstairs. They wanted to remove the walls downstairs in the front formal living and den making them a new large den/entering room. They also wanted to remove the powder and laundry room from the center of the kitchen, giving them more functional space in the kitchen that was completely opened up to their den. The addition was planned to be one story with a bedroom/game room (flex space), laundry room, bathroom (to serve as the on-suite to the bedroom and pool bath), and storage closet. They also wanted a larger sliding door leading out to the pool.
We demoed the entire kitchen, including the laundry room and powder bath that were in the center! The wall between the den and formal living was removed, completely opening up that space to the entry of the house. A small space was separated out from the main den area, creating a flex space for them to become a home office, sitting area, or reading nook. A beautiful fireplace was added, surrounded with slate ledger, flanked with built-in bookcases creating a focal point to the den. Behind this main open living area, is the addition. When the addition is not being utilized as a guest room, it serves as a game room for their two young boys. There is a large closet in there great for toys or additional storage. A full bath was added, which is connected to the bedroom, but also opens to the hallway so that it can be used for the pool bath.
The new laundry room is a dream come true! Not only does it have room for cabinets, but it also has space for a much-needed extra refrigerator. There is also a closet inside the laundry room for additional storage. This first-floor addition has greatly enhanced the functionality of this family’s daily lives. Previously, there was essentially only one small space for them to hang out downstairs, making it impossible for more than one conversation to be had. Now, the kids can be playing air hockey, video games, or roughhousing in the game room, while the adults can be enjoying TV in the den or cooking in the kitchen, without interruption! While living through a remodel might not be easy, the outcome definitely outweighs the struggles throughout the process.

Even the everyday spaces deserve a touch of luxury! In these bathrooms, our custom white vanities bring a clean, fresh, and elegant feel. With plenty of hidden storage for all your essentials, these cabinets keep things tidy and serene, making your daily routine a little more spa-like.

Overall, our executed design accomplished our client's goal of having an open, airy layout for all their daily needs! And who doesn't love coming home to a brand-new house with all new furnishings?

Maximizing storage was a primary design objective, and the room's nine-foot ceilings made it possible to fully utilize the available vertical space. By installing custom cabinetry above the stacked washer and dryer, the design captures valuable storage that would otherwise go unused. This floor-to-ceiling approach keeps laundry essentials neatly organized, reduces visual clutter, and reinforces the clean, tailored aesthetic expected in a luxury utility room.
The deep laundry sink serves multiple purposes beyond everyday household tasks. Equipped with a high-performance pull-down sprayer faucet, it functions as a convenient pet washing station for the homeowner's small dog, making bath time easier while helping contain messes. This thoughtful dual-purpose feature demonstrates how bespoke laundry room design can seamlessly blend functionality, organization, and lifestyle-driven solutions, creating a hardworking space that supports the daily needs of both homeowners and their beloved pets.

Sip into Style: Maple Latte Remodel
Kitchens are often the centerpiece of our homes, a place where culinary creativity meets family gatherings. Yet, many kitchens fall victim to outdated designs and worn-out finishes. If you’re feeling uninspired by your current space, it’s time to consider a remodel that can elevate your kitchen from drab to fab.
Let’s explore how we transformed this client’s kitchen into a posh, stylish retreat that featured a combination of stunning materials and thoughtful design choices that truly elevated the space.
Creating an Open Concept
One of the most significant changes anyone can make in a home remodel is to modify or remove walls. Even though there were two points of entry into this client’s kitchen, the space was closed off. Opening up the wall instantly created a more open and inviting layout that allowed for the installation of a large island. Eliminating the barrier between the kitchen and the adjacent living area, provides a seamless flow that is perfect for entertaining guests or simply keeping an eye on the kids while cooking dinner.
A Showstopping Island
At the heart of this kitchen remodel is an expansive 9 ft. island, designed to be both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The island features a stunning White Pearl natural quartzite countertop that radiates elegance. With its unique veining and shimmering finish, this stone serves as a beautiful focal point and adds a touch of luxury to the space. A beverage cooler and dishwasher are tucked underneath, concealed from the view of the living area. Three 12” deep and 36” wide cabinets line the front of the island providing additional hidden storage. This multifunctional design makes the island an essential part of daily life in the kitchen, making it a cozy spot for casual dining or morning coffee.
Complementary Perimeter Countertops
To enhance the overall look, the perimeter countertops are topped with Silestone Eternal Charcoal. This material offers a striking contrast to the lighter island, featuring rich, dark hues that ground the space and create depth. The durability and easy maintenance of Silestone make it an ideal choice for busy kitchens, ensuring that the surfaces remain beautiful and functional for years to come.
Beautiful Cabinetry
The cabinetry in this remodel plays a pivotal role in both style and storage. We opted for Waypoint Cabinetry in a Maple Latte finish, which adds warmth and sophistication to the kitchen. The soft, neutral tones of the cabinetry complement the countertops beautifully and create a cohesive look throughout the space. The cabinets are thoughtfully designed to provide ample storage, with pull-out shelves and organizers that maximize accessibility.
Finishing Touches
No remodel is complete without the right finishing touches. We chose sleek, modern matte black Top Knobs hardware that enhances the cabinetry's clean lines while adding a touch of contemporary flair. The 2 ½” x 10” San Marcos Tortora stylish backsplash tile, a striking black hood with brushed gold accents and brushed gold large pendant lighting tie together the colors and textures of the room, adding visual interest.
The Result: A Dream Kitchen
The result of this kitchen remodel is nothing short of spectacular. The combination of the open layout, stunning island, and thoughtful materials creates a space that is both functional and beautiful.
Whether you’re considering a full kitchen remodel or simply looking for inspiration, this project highlights the transformative power of thoughtful design and quality materials. If you’re ready to create your dream kitchen, don’t hesitate to contact us so that we can help bring your vision to life. Happy remodeling!

This thoughtfully designed mudroom blends high-function storage with warm, modern style. Custom floor-to-ceiling cabinetry provides dedicated pantry space for shoes and everyday essentials, keeping the entry organized and clutter-free.
A secondary pantry integrates a washer and dryer, creating a discreet and efficient laundry zone within the same footprint. The two-tone cabinetry—natural wood paired with deep, contrasting built-ins—adds visual depth while maintaining a cohesive, tailored look.
A scalloped tile floor introduces subtle pattern and texture underfoot, while brass hardware and a woven flush-mount fixture enhance the warm, organic aesthetic. Designed for daily use, this mudroom delivers both practicality and elevated design, serving as a hardworking yet welcoming transition space within the home.

A serene bathroom retreat where matte black fixtures create striking contrast against soft white micro-tile walls, drawing the eye from the rainfall showerhead down to the deep soaking tub framed by a frameless glass enclosure. Warm white oak vanity cabinetry and floating shelves bring natural texture to the space, softened further by neatly folded linen towels and a touch of greenery. Veined marble countertops add a quiet note of refinement, while the built-in tiled niche keeps everyday essentials tucked away without disrupting the room's clean lines. The result is a spa-like sanctuary that balances airy brightness with grounded, tactile warmth — thoughtfully designed for both daily ritual and quiet unwinding.
