Primary bathroom renovation in Bay Creek, Cape Charles, Virginia. Designed as a serene coastal retreat, this timeless bathroom features custom white oak vanities, shiplap wall detailing, marble-inspired flooring, and a hand-glazed blue and green tile shower inspired by the surrounding bay. Champagne bronze fixtures add warmth and refinement, while integrated storage enhances everyday functionality. Soft coastal tones, natural materials, and thoughtful details create a relaxing, light-filled space that balances luxury, comfort, and practicality.

Located in the Langley Fork Historic District in McLean, Virginia, this residence was designed to speak to the formal massing seen in the existing neighborhood fabric of stately traditional homes. The simplicity and clean lines of the stucco and limestone façade blends harmoniously with its surroundings. Traditional forms, interjected with modern twists, create a tension that carries throughout the design, creating a home that feels warm and familiar while clean and distilled at the same time. This project began with a roof inspection following reported wind activity in the Alpharetta area.
Using the Inspector Roofing Protocols™, we conducted a structured, inspection-first evaluation to determine whether the roofing system had sustained functional damage. The inspection included slope-by-slope analysis, wide-to-tight photographic documentation, and targeted review of shingles, seal integrity, and uplift patterns consistent with wind-related damage.
The inspection identified wind-driven shingle displacement and seal failure consistent with functional damage rather than normal wear. The documented findings met claim-verifiable thresholds, allowing the condition to be clearly presented and supported.
Based on the inspection and supporting documentation, the claim was reviewed and approved by State Farm, resulting in a full roof replacement.
This project reflects the importance of proper inspection and documentation—where replacement is not assumed, but supported through verifiable evidence and structured evaluation.
