Front yard features concrete pavers set in gravel, a circular turf type tall fescue lawn and many colorful drought tolerant perennials and ornamental grasses. Back yard features a custom fire pit with concrete seat bench and an "open ceiling". The grass was originally turf grass but switched out to artificial turf to accommodate their dog. Plants feature colorful drought tolerant perennials and ornamental grasses. Garden boxes in the right hand corner are extremely productive.

Natural bark mulch protects the young plants during their establishment and provides a longer lasting moist environment after the efficient drip system has watered the plants from beneath.

This rosemary hedge attracts many beneficial insects to the garden. The bees will then pollinate the other fruits and vegetables which are growing nearby. The rich fragrance released when walking by remains in the air for quite some time.
