Material expression and exterior finishes were carefully selected to reduce the apparent size of the house, last through many years, and add warmth and human scale to the home. The unique siding system is made up of different widths and depths of western red cedar, complementing the vision of the structure's wings which are balanced, not symmetrical. The exterior materials include a burn brick base, powder-coated steel, cedar, acid-washed concrete and Corten steel planters.

This project transformed a Montclair historic home into a bohemian, family-friendly farmhouse. The decor and styling embraced the formal bones of the house but was updated with warm tones and a boho luxe style that is well-suited for everyday living.

Inspiration for a contemporary wine cellar remodel in San Francisco

This Columbia home had one deck which descended directly into their backyard. Rather than tuck their seven person hot tub on the concrete patio below their deck, we constructed a new tier. Their new deck was built with composite decking, making it completely maintenance free. Constructed with three feet concrete piers and post bases attaching each support according to code, this new deck can easily withstand the weight of hundreds of gallons of water and a dozen or more people. Aluminum rails line the stairs and surround the entire deck for aesthetics as well as safety. Taller aluminum supports form a privacy screen with horizontal cedar wood slats. The cedar wall also sports four clothes hooks for robes. The family now has a private place to relax and entertain in their own backyard. Dimensions In Wood is more than 40 years of custom cabinets. Switching from a nursery to a toddler room can be challenging. We moved into our new house when my son was about one year old, crawling and walking like a champ. So it was my chance to make the switch. My usual process is figuring out the main colors first, well this time it was different since I had already few furniture pieces. Before we moved in I bough the beautiful Atlas Tapestry from Urban Outfitters which set the tone for the room. I was lucky enough to find turquoise curtains and storage bins from Ikea. I couldn’t stay away from Land of Nod so I had to get the Touch Tone Wall Hanger and the Grand Canvas USA Map. I got the growth chart from Etsy, there are a plenty of options and you can even get a personalized decal monogram.

The harmony of color, texture and elements of stone, wood tile, paint stain and glass along with well-defined straight lines in this design combine to execute this Asian inspired kitchen. This Lshape layout with island, pantries and wet bar has a large prep and serve space that also offers a dine-in option. It is minimalistic, functional and well balanced. The boxed out window located at the sink brings nature in. It’s neutral backdrop and golden toned enamel hardware adds elegance and drama.
