There are so many details in this kitchen it's hard to decide where to look. Each part of it is so carefully thought out, with no detail left to spare. Our clients eclectic taste and her deep trust in us, made this remodel not only top notch, but easy and fun! We used solid walnut cabinets and open shelves to bring warmth to the space and mixing patterns, but being consistent in color and tone allowed us to incorporate a lot of style into one space. Mudroom Cabinets were custom designed by Jessica McAllister of Kountry Kraft for a transitional style entryway in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania. The cabinets are crafted in Penn Line style out of Red Oak wood and finished in Gray Wolf 25° stain color. Across the top and bottom of the cabinets are storage units for hats, gloves and shoes. Antique pewter hooks from Top Knobs provide the perfect place to hang coats and bags. This mudroom cabinet system also includes a bench for sitting while putting on your shoes. Mudroom cabinets help keep clutter the kitchen and living areas clean because they create a dedicated space for the items that are typically taken off and put on when entering or exiting the house.

Our client wanted an outdoor living space for her Border Collies and rescued cats. We used her existing patio and gave it a good power washing, fresh paint and we brought in Rough Sawn Redwood to create the fence and cat walks. We also added the trellis to support her healthy plants that would provide shade during the hotter months and bring several hummingbirds to home. PC: Aaron Gilless

A private wooded pool garden in part shady area. The dahlia border manages to bloom with early morning sunlight. This is a border of bright colors using hot pinks, oranges, peach, purples and reds. The dahlias are most dinner plate varieties.

This project won in the 2013 Builders Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh Housing Excellence Award for Best Urban Renewal Renovation Project. The glass bowl was made in the glass studio owned by the owner which is adjacent to the residence. The mirror is a repurposed window. The door is repurposed from a boarding house. George Mendel

This scullery functions as a pantry, storage area, baking counter and supplement to the butler's pantry. The beautiful brass accents look fantastic with the black cabinetry, white subway tile and quartz counter-tops!
