Or, if you're more of a writer, describe what you're looking for in a paragraph or two. This will help your landscaping contractor understand what it is you'd like to achieve with your covered structure or wood pergola. Think about how you will use your outdoor space and how many people might be enjoying it. Will you be dining, socializing, or relaxing under your gazebo or pergola? Also, as you gather ideas and inspiration, talk to your contractor about the costs for materials and design elements – that way you can establish an estimated budget.

“My home cannot be copied” - this is what best describes Yang Kun’s house. Considered one of the most talented artists in China, his home is a project by Meng Ye, director Meng Ye Space Creative Design Office. His studio dedicates itself to customizing unique high-end residential spaces for the Chinese elite, prioritizing innovation and boldness. A project full of great names, great pieces and great artists and of course Boca do Lobo couldn’t be out of it.

Dedicated Laundry in this modern farmhouse is what I heard described as “Farmhouse Dreamy”. The brick floors are absolutely gorgeous set against our shaker style cabinets in Benjamin Moore Blue Daisy. Counter over the washer and dryer units provides plenty of counter space.

A friend of mine described this design as Monocrome Mondrian. I agree! This was designed by Ben, in collaboration with the clients. They wanted something "different". The loft style apartment and asymmetrical room design was perfect for this piece! One of my favorites.

Designed by Mark Sleith of Reico Kitchen & Bath in Falls Church, VA in collaboration with Mike Parkinson, this eclectic style kitchen remodel features Green Forest Cabinetry in the Park Place door style in two finishes. The base cabinets all features the Norfolk Blue finish and the wall cabinet features a White finish. Kitchen countertops are engineered quartz by Q from MSI in the color Calacatta Trento. The tile backsplash behind the range features Artistic Tile with Blue Note Circles as well as a pot filler faucet. Said the client, "We are obsessed with our uber-chic new kitchen! Mark was a consummate professional throughout the entire process. I described my ideal space, and he designed something even better that I could have imagined. Not only did he help me create a luxe look within the confines of my budget, he stuck with me throughout every step of the project. Mark went above and beyond to create a design that captured my vision." Added Mark, "The client was amazing to work with, and had definite ideas of what she liked and did not like. She was open to suggestions, which led us to achieving her design goals. This created a great sense of accomplishment for me as I guided her through the overwhelming maze of remodeling. Five stars isn’t enough! Our project was to reconfigure and update the main floor of a house we recently purchased that was built in 1961. We wanted to maintain some of the unique feeling it originally had but bring it up-to-date and eliminate the closed-in rooms and downright weird layout that was the result of multiple, partial remodeling projects. We began with a long wishlist of changes which also required replacement of very antiquated plumbing, electrical wiring and HVAC. We even found a fireplace that had been walled in and needed major re-construction. Many other aspects and details on this incredible list we made included an all new kitchen layout, converting a bedroom into a master closet, adding new half-bath, completely rebuilding the master bath, and adding stone, tile and custom built cabinetry. Our design plans included many fixtures and details that we specified and required professional installation and careful handling. Innovative helped us make reasonable decisions. Their skilled staff took us through a design process that made sense. There were many questions and all were answered with sincere conversation and positive – innovation – on how we could achieve our goals. Innovative provided us with professional consultants, who listened and were courteous and creative, with solid knowledge and informative judgement. When they didn’t have an answer, they did the research. They developed a comprehensive project plan that exceeded our expectations. Every item on our long list was checked-off. All agreed on work was fulfilled and they completed all this in just under four months. Innovative took care of putting together a team of skilled professional specialists who were all dedicated to make everything right. Engineering, construction, supervision, and I cannot even begin to describe how much thanks we have for the demolition crew! Our multiple, detailed project designs from Raul and professional design advice from Mindy and the connections she recommended are all of the best quality. Diego Jr., Trevor and his team kept everything on track and neat and tidy every single day and Diego Sr., Mark, Ismael, Albert, Santiago and team are true craftsmen who follow-up and make the most minuscule woodworking details perfect. The cabinets by Tim and electrical work and installation of fixtures by Kemchan Harrilal-BB and Navindra Doolratram, and Augustine and his crew on tile and stone work – all perfection. Aisling and the office crew were always responsive to our calls and requests. And of course Clark and Eric who oversaw everything and gave us the best of the best! A description of the homeowners and space from Linnzy, the Presidential Pools, Spas & Patio designer who worked on this project: "The homeowners can be described as an active family of three boys. They tend to host family and friends and wanted a space that could fill their large backyard and yet be functional for the kids and adults. The contemporary straight lines of the pool match the interior of the house giving them a resort feel in the very own backyard! The large pergola is a perfect area to cool off in the shade while enjoying a large outdoor kitchen as well as an oversized fire pit for the cooler nights and roasting marshmallows. They wanted a wow factor as the pool is the main focal point from the living room, and the oversized wall and rain sheer did the trick!"

Revitalize, update, and addition on a 1920's Old California home, thought to be a real George Washington Smith in Ojai, California. Wide, thick plaster arches, old farm paintings, comfortable, ranchy furniture give this place a real old world Spanish charm. Hand kotted antique rugs and fine bench made new furniture reflects the original style of Santa Barbara, CA, giving the sense this place is completely original. And much of it is, although it has been completely revamped, adding a larger stair case, wide arches, new master suite including a sitting room with a tv. Maraya Interiors completely changed the kitchen, adding new cabinetry, a blue granite island, and custom made terra cotta tile in multiple shapes and sizes. The home has a dining room for larger gatherings, and a small kitchen table for intimate family breakfasts. Luminous, clean and inviting are three adjectives we use to describe this adorable guest bath. The niche not only allows for interest but gives the owner a little more room in an otherwise tight space.

2013 CHRYSALIS AWARD NATIONAL WINNER, KITCHEN REMODEL $50,000 TO $75,000 “Crowded and disturbing” is how the woman of the house described this kitchen. A big peninsula with a huge range hood blocked the kitchen off from the breakfast room, a chimney style wall blocked off another side of the space and the doorways were too narrow. The result was a cramped feel with no traffic flow and a lack of usable storage. To remedy these issues, the remodeling plan called for regrouping all tall kitchen elements into a low visibility wall, eliminating the peninsula and then creating a natural path through the space using a middle island. Relocating the stove against the room’s back wall allowed the installation of a beautiful wood mantel hood and improved the work triangle. The side walls house beautiful custom white cabinets; one side housing the pantry, refrigerator and double wall ovens, the other the kitchen sink and dishwasher. The center island features a mahogany wood countertop and provides plenty of workspace above and storage below. Contrasting with the glazed cabinets, the woodwork is a highlight of the project and a key part of delivering on the homeowner’s desire for a bright, clean kitchen. They installed exotic mahogany floors to complement center wood Island. The floors also had created a casual ambiance, especially against the soft lemon chiffon wall paint. The ultimate French country style kitchen was completed by furnishing the old breakfast area with casual seating rather than a formal table.

Found this colorful Garden Sign behind some picture frames at a local store. I also love creating fun signs to describe what fresh plants we have in our raised bed gardens.

Architect Allard Jansen describes the home’s new floor plan as: “A central courtyard with two wings” Discussing the homes main features, he draws attention to the entrance of the home, the style of which is a specialty of the firm.. “One of the surprises we like to do is that you don’t step into the house when you come through the front door, instead you step into a courtyard,” he explains. This home invites the outdoors in and the central courtyard houses a gurgling fountain and outdoor furniture centered around a fireplace.

All white furnishing complemented by glass and metallics describe this large, bright, and cheerful open-concept design of ours! With so much natural light coming through the full-length windows, we decided to accentuate that brightness with crisp whites, silvers, and contrasting earthy browns. With minimal decor, we focused on the unique silver wall decorations and unique lighting. To top off the design, and soften up the space, we integrated a cream area rug in an off-white -- the circular shape of the rug also balances out the square lines found throughout the sofas, chairs, and windows. Living room - country living room idea in Cincinnati

Not nostalgic but rather current, a reworking of content obtained through the antoniolupi style almost maniacal attention to detail, the excellence of the workmanship and materials used.
