House appearance described as bespoke California modern, or California Contemporary, San Francisco modern, Bay Area or South Bay residential design, with Sustainability and green design.

A transitional townhouse for a family with a touch of modern design and blue accents. When I start a project, I always ask a client to describe three words that they want to describe their home. In this instance, the owner asked for a modern, clean, and functional aesthetic that would be family-friendly, while also allowing him to entertain. We worked around the owner's artwork by Ryan Fugate in order to choose a neutral but also sophisticated palette of blues, greys, and green for the entire home. Metallic accents create a more modern feel that plays off of the hardware already in the home. The result is a comfortable and bright home where everyone can relax at the end of a long day.

Beautiful bathroom from a home listed by Platinum Realty Network. The Building Blocks of a Home describes the basic rooms that clients want to see: Living Room, Kitchen, Bathroom and Backyard. Although a home is definitely more than that, these are the spaces that "speak" to the buyer.

Transitional Style in interior design and furniture design refers to a blend of traditional and contemporary styles, midway between old world traditional and the world of chrome and glass contemporary; incorporating lines that are less ornate than traditional designs, but not as severely basic as contemporary lines. No other word could describe this home better.

A small remodel with a striking improvement. The upgrades only removed a couple of interior walls, with no structural changes, but dramatically opened up the kitchen to the living room and dining room. New windows allowed for balanced light that accented the more modern layout.
Clients picked a mixture of finishes that freshened up the space, which some visitors to the house have described as "Scandi Chic," but while still paying homage to the original cabin that are the bones of the home.

Eclectic and transitional is how our client described their tastes. We achieved the balance with a fun mix of solid and patterned fabrics, a little side table featuring an ornament like geode and an array of abstract art.

Ron and Kathy Chaisson have lived in many homes throughout Orange County, including three homes on the Balboa Peninsula and one at Pelican Crest. But when the “kind of retired” couple, as they describe their current status, decided to finally build their ultimate dream house in the flower streets of Corona del Mar, they opted not to skimp on the amenities. “We wanted this house to have the features of a resort,” says Ron. “So we designed it to have a pool on the roof, five patios, a spa, a gym, water walls in the courtyard, fire-pits and steam showers.”
To bring that five-star level of luxury to their newly constructed home, the couple enlisted Orange County’s top talent, including our very own rock star design consultant Richard Bustos, who worked alongside interior designer Trish Steel and Patterson Custom Homes as well as Brandon Architects. Together the team created a 4,500 square-foot, five-bedroom, seven-and-a-half-bathroom contemporary house where R&R get top billing in almost every room. Two stories tall and with lots of open spaces, it manages to feel spacious despite its narrow location. And from its third floor patio, it boasts panoramic ocean views.
“Overall we wanted this to be contemporary, but we also wanted it to feel warm,” says Ron. Key to creating that look was Richard, who selected the primary pieces from our extensive portfolio of top-quality furnishings. Richard also focused on clean lines and neutral colors to achieve the couple’s modern aesthetic, while allowing both the home’s gorgeous views and Kathy’s art to take center stage.
As for that mahogany-lined elevator? “It’s a requirement,” states Ron. “With three levels, and lots of entertaining, we need that elevator for keeping the bar stocked up at the cabana, and for our big barbecue parties.” He adds, “my wife wears high heels a lot of the time, so riding the elevator instead of taking the stairs makes life that much better for her.”

Entering into this kitchen you get a feeling of spaciousness, even though it is only 9' wide . Light, bright and airy would best describe this kitchen, with a hint of warmth and history.

Rinaldi Homes described this new home as, “Frank Lloyd Wright inspired, harmony between the design and its surroundings”. The oversized corner windows, extended overhangs, prairie style roof line, and chain-link downspouts all lend to the modern minimalist design.

Sweet dreams does not start to describe this little jewel, as it brings space savings and functionality to
every room. The bed has a 3 drawer storage chest and bookcase as well as open storage. The bed is mattress ready so no bunkie board is needed.

“Dramatic” and “no detail spared” are two ways to describe this stunning home in Corona del Mar. Located on an oversized bluff side lot with views of Newport Harbor, Catalina, and the Pacific Ocean, the contemporary dwelling is the work of Brandon Architects Inc. and Spinnaker Development. Door and window systems from Western are used throughout, especially the Series 600 Multi-Slide, where it’s used to enhance features such as indoor/outdoor living areas and a guest casita that opens to a courtyard.
