KETHO. THE START OF A WONDERFUL FRIENDSHIP. | As modern life places greater demands upon us, we, in turn, also start to demand more. These demands also extend to the bathroom, which we expect to be attractive, inviting and also functional. Ketho takes this development into account: designed by Christian Werner, the new range of bathroom furniture is characterised by clear forms, well thought-out functionality and comfortable quality. The characteristic, ergonomic handles feature throughout the range and give Ketho its true originality. The reduced look of the range is fl exible enough to suit any modern bathroom ambience. Combined with good value for money, Ketho becomes the ideal range for first-time buyers. | Design by Christian Werner | Available at www.ShopStudio41.com

This Beacon Hill brownstone started with a new rubber roof, bare and sprawling, the ideal spot for a great family gathering place. After thoughtful consideration, a master plan was developed to provide all the amenities an urban outdoor space could offer; comfortable seating, customized storage, mature plantings, a fully functioning outdoor kitchen, comprehensive irrigation, discrete lighting, natural materials and open space for larger groups.
As this project was completed in the context of a comprehensive renovation of the building, we were easily afforded access below the deck to augment the structure and accommodate the added weight of the roof deck elements. A new staircase and generous hatch were added from the top floor inside to home to provide easy and convenient use of the deck. Similarly, bringing gas to the large grill, and hot and cold water to the sink, ice-maker and irrigation system were relatively straightforward.
Through the careful use of natural materials and the well designed layout, the space feels like an extension of the inside living space and welcomes its visitors to sounds of music coming from the Hatch Shell steps away and views unique to the character and history of Boston.

Dual sliding barn doors with black pipe handles (the same that was used in the bar!) form the entrance to the home gym. The spacious and bright room has a rubber floor. 40 tires were upcycled to create this sustainable and durable flooring. A wall of mirrors amplifies the natural light from the windows and door to the outside.
Welcome to this sports lover’s paradise in West Chester, PA! We started with the completely blank palette of an unfinished basement and created space for everyone in the family by adding a main television watching space, a play area, a bar area, a full bathroom and an exercise room. The floor is COREtek engineered hardwood, which is waterproof and durable, and great for basements and floors that might take a beating. Combining wood, steel, tin and brick, this modern farmhouse looking basement is chic and ready to host family and friends to watch sporting events!

For this Short Term Rental home, or Airbnb we started by leveraging market insights and the development of a the ideal guest for this market leading us to create a family and large group oriented design. We focused on how guests would enjoy the space and maximized the number of people it could host with king and queen sized beds, and pull out sofa. Design is comfortable, durable and modern.

After purchasing their first home, a 3-bedroom 2 1/2 bathroom condo unit in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood, our clients came to us for help with updating the 1990s era interiors. On our first visit, we saw lots of golden oak - cabinets, floors, windows, trim.
We started by tearing out the inexpensive developer-grade finishes and replacing them with quality materials capable of withstanding the test of time. We designed custom cabinetry with interior fittings tailored to the particular needs of our client and assisted with the selection of all the interior finishes.
Our clients love their new home and the fact that it's interiors are as stylish as their new neighborhood.

The front entry opens into the base of our client's amazing new great room space. Starting at this end with a slate-grey fireplace gathering point, the ground floor of this showstopper reno was done end to end.

These terrific clients had a very specific vision of what they wanted: this beam was the beginning of an extraordinary project. When you have an amazing starting point like this, it's important that the renovation overall rise to meet the aesthetic and scale of your central element.

Creating a resilient, environmentally sensitive home that would develop as the family grew was the wish of this new couple. Comprehensive planning was needed, starting with a permaculture plan of the entire property to identify features of the land. This led to planning of the overall site, including access routes, vegetable gardens, orchards, wood lots, paddocks and ultimately the best location for the new home.

Intentional. Elevated. Artisanal.
With three children under the age of 5, our clients were starting to feel the confines of their Pacific Heights home when the expansive 1902 Italianate across the street went on the market. After learning the home had been recently remodeled, they jumped at the chance to purchase a move-in ready property. We worked with them to infuse the already refined, elegant living areas with subtle edginess and handcrafted details, and also helped them reimagine unused space to delight their little ones.
Elevated furnishings on the main floor complement the home’s existing high ceilings, modern brass bannisters and extensive walnut cabinetry. In the living room, sumptuous emerald upholstery on a velvet side chair balances the deep wood tones of the existing baby grand. Minimally and intentionally accessorized, the room feels formal but still retains a sharp edge—on the walls moody portraiture gets irreverent with a bold paint stroke, and on the the etagere, jagged crystals and metallic sculpture feel rugged and unapologetic. Throughout the main floor handcrafted, textured notes are everywhere—a nubby jute rug underlies inviting sofas in the family room and a half-moon mirror in the living room mixes geometric lines with flax-colored fringe.
On the home’s lower level, we repurposed an unused wine cellar into a well-stocked craft room, with a custom chalkboard, art-display area and thoughtful storage. In the adjoining space, we installed a custom climbing wall and filled the balance of the room with low sofas, plush area rugs, poufs and storage baskets, creating the perfect space for active play or a quiet reading session. The bold colors and playful attitudes apparent in these spaces are echoed upstairs in each of the children’s imaginative bedrooms.

Miami sectional from Cierre.
At the beginning, Cierre was a project undertaken by two persons that in the middle of the seventies made this dream become true along with their own family. Today Cierre is a dynamic reality within the European tradition, where "Family Business" play a key role in the country's economic growth and represent the "Made in Italy" design. Year after year, the leather upholstered furniture have developed a new trend. The new collections have resulted in creative projects, combining elegance with high quality, arts and techniques following this idea, we have started to design all our products as icons of contemporary life. Expressions of time. Sublimations of space.

You enter this bright and light master bathroom through a custom pocket door that is inlayed with a mirror. The room features a beautiful free-standing tub. The shower is Carrera marble and has a seat, storage inset, a body jet and dual showerheads. The striking single vanity is a deep navy blue with beaded inset cabinets, chrome handles and provides tons of storage. Along with the blue vanity, the rose gold fixtures, including the shower grate, are eye catching and provide a subtle pop of color.
What started as an addition project turned into a full house remodel in this Modern Craftsman home in Narberth, PA. The addition included the creation of a sitting room, family room, mudroom and third floor. As we moved to the rest of the home, we designed and built a custom staircase to connect the family room to the existing kitchen. We laid red oak flooring with a mahogany inlay throughout house. Another central feature of this is home is all the built-in storage. We used or created every nook for seating and storage throughout the house, as you can see in the family room, dining area, staircase landing, bedroom and bathrooms. Custom wainscoting and trim are everywhere you look, and gives a clean, polished look to this warm house.
