This handcrafted Ash dining table was designed to prove that smaller dining spaces don't have to sacrifice beauty, comfort, or functionality. Crafted from solid USA-sourced Ash hardwood, this modern pedestal dining table is ideal for dining nooks, breakfast areas, apartments, and homes where maximizing space is just as important as creating a welcoming place to gather. The sculptural pedestal base provides generous legroom while the uniquely rounded corners make it easier to move around the table without bumping into sharp edges, perfect for everyday family living.
This custom dining table was created for a client in Brighton, Michigan, who wanted to make the most of a compact dining nook while maintaining a clean, contemporary aesthetic. Every element of the design was chosen with purpose, creating a table that feels open, comfortable, and inviting whether you're enjoying a quick breakfast or gathering with family for dinner.
Unlike traditional four-legged tables, the pedestal base eliminates the frustration of bumping knees or maneuvering around corner legs, allowing chairs to be positioned more freely while giving the table its own distinctive personality. The natural grain of the Ash hardwood shines beautifully through the finish, showcasing the warmth, texture, and timeless character that only solid hardwood can provide.
Unlike mass-produced dining tables built from particle board or veneer, this table is handcrafted from genuine solid hardwood that's designed to serve your family for generations. Every board is carefully selected for its beauty and character, making each table truly one of a kind while providing exceptional durability that improves with age.

t may be hard to tell from the photos but this custom round dining table is huge! We created this for our client to be 8.5 feet in diameter. The lazy Susan that sits on top of it is actually 5 feet in diameter. But in the space, it was absolutely perfect.
The groove around the perimeter is a subtle but nice detail that draws your eye in. The base is reinforced with floating mortise and tenon joinery and the underside of the table is laced with large steel c channels to keep the large table top flat over time.
The dark and rich finish goes beautifully with the classic paneled bright interior of the home.
This dining table was hand made in San Diego, California.

This Dallas high-rise condominium with a 360-degree view of the city reflects the client’s soft contemporary and transitional taste. Our goal was to create an ambiance of casual sophistication that also conveyed a calm, relaxing environment for the homeowner. We furnished the open floor plan, containing entry, living and dining areas plus three bedrooms. One bedroom featured a multi-purpose setup, as it doubled as a den for her teen son to hang out with his friends. Custom furnishings are unique and were sourced from top quality manufacturers.

The room was dark brown, which was fine for a while ... but for an entranceway and a room without windows, dark was not an appropriate long term choice. There was a feng shui request in this re-decorating project, earth tones were not welcome in this area of the home, black, white, metal and water were preferable colors/elements. The walls are 2 layers of metallic paint, the undercoat is a silver, the top coat is a gunmetal mixed with the silver to create an uneven tone. A wide wallpaper paste brush was used to create a vertical linear pattern. The Larson Juhl gold leaf framed mirror is covered in adhesive car vinyl. The Ikea unit is enveloped in an adhesive mural, printed by muralsyourway.com, the artist is David Bromstad. The chair seats were recovered in a silver vinyl fabric. The rug is from overstock.com. The capiz chandelier is from West Elm. The table base is an Ikea take on the Eero Saarinen tulip table. In the "before" room, there were glass tables cluttered with everyday items and "to do" piles of paper. The goal was to have storage in this room to hide the clutter. There was not an outlet on the wall where the Ikea unit sits, and there was not a budget to have the prewar wall fitted with electricity, so an extension cord crosses the room under a grey cord concealer.

The Nova solid wood dining table is inspired by classic Parsons style, with legs flush with the tabletop and a supportive skirt. Nova is an astronomical term for a star that suddenly increases in brightness, then fades. Like its namesake, this is a timeless style that keeps circling back in modern design.
Several coats of water-based finish are sprayed on Nova’s natural wood surface & add a layer of extra protection. Nova was originally commissioned using solid white oak, but is available in a variety of species.

The table base is made from 1 ½” by 3” rectangular tube steel. A blackening solution is applied to the metal and finished with a clear protective coat.
