This home’s noteworthy steel shipping container construction material, offers a streamlined aesthetic and industrial vibe, with sustainable attributes and strength. Recycled shipping containers are fireproof, impervious to water and stronger than traditional building materials. Inside, muscular concrete walls, burnished cedar beams and custom oak cabinetry give the living spaces definition, decorative might, and storage and seating options. The room service 360° collection of modern furniture by powerhouse design firm Cattelan Italia is unmatched in its scope and diversity. Italian designer Giorgio Cattelan and his wife Silvia founded the company in 1979. Their goal was to create contemporary furnishings for the home that reflected and enhanced the modern life style experience. We created a soothing and relaxing space for the this family to enjoy their summers in. By maximizing the space with a sectional, we have have defined the living area while getting the most out of the seating. This is a full bath remodel on the Diversion Canal, south of Baton Rouge, LA. The original bath was dark green with decorative, painted tiles and sinks. The homeowner wanted a bathroom that was neutral, light and bright, and more timeless. The client chose floor and wall tile in a neutral tan/beige pattern with mosaic accent tile that contained amber glass. Hardware was done in oil rubbed bronze to pick up the amber accents. Custom 6 foot high mirrors and iron lanterns were hung over the double sinks and a tower cabinet was added for additional storage.
