We were asked to create something really special for one of our most admired clients. This home has been a labor of love for both of us as we finally made it exactly what she wanted it to be. After many concept ideas we landed on a design that is stunning! All of the elements on her wish list are incorporated in this challenging, multi-level landscape: A front yard to match the modern traditional-style home while creating privacy from the street; a side yard that proudly connects the front and back; and a lower level with plantings in lush greens, whites, purples and pinks and plentiful lawn space for kids and dogs. Her outdoor living space includes an outdoor kitchen with bar, outdoor living room with fireplace, dining patio, a bedroom-adjacent lounging patio with modern fountain, enclosed vegetable garden, rose garden walk with European-style fountain and meditation bench, and a fire pit with sitting area on the upper level to take in the panoramic views of the sunset over the wooded ridge. Outdoor lighting brings it alive at night, and for parties you can’t beat the killer sound system!

Design ideas for a mid-sized traditional full sun front yard mulch and vinyl fence formal garden in Raleigh for spring.

This spacious, multi-level backyard in San Luis Obispo, CA, once completely underutilized and overtaken by weeds, was converted into the ultimate outdoor entertainment space with a custom pool and spa as the centerpiece. A cabana with a built-in storage bench, outdoor TV and wet bar provide a protected place to chill during hot pool days, and a screened outdoor shower nearby is perfect for rinsing off after a dip. A hammock attached to the master deck and the adjacent pool deck are ideal for relaxing and soaking up some rays. The stone veneer-faced water feature wall acts as a backdrop for the pool area, and transitions into a retaining wall dividing the upper and lower levels. An outdoor sectional surrounds a gas fire bowl to create a cozy spot to entertain in the evenings, with string lights overhead for ambiance. A Belgard paver patio connects the lounge area to the outdoor kitchen with a Bull gas grill and cabinetry, polished concrete counter tops, and a wood bar top with seating. The outdoor kitchen is tucked in next to the main deck, one of the only existing elements that remain from the previous space, which now functions as an outdoor dining area overlooking the entire yard. Finishing touches included low-voltage LED landscape lighting, pea gravel mulch, and lush planting areas and outdoor decor.

The stair to the apartment and it's entrance were in the foreground here a very narrow hall entry into the main home's kitchen. We expanded the opening to the kitchen for a more open feeling and added a pet/boot bath since the woods and yard were a must for this outdoorsy and adventurous family.

This customer wanted to create a dog-friendly yard for his three dogs, and also create a putting green that would be great for entertaining his golf friends. The yard was brown and having trouble thriving because of the dogs, so the homeowner wanted a solution that would provide lasting durability without tons of upkeep. Using a total of 7,000 square feet of artificial grass, the ForeverLawn NEO team created two areas—one small and one large—for the dogs using K9Grass® synthetic turf, as well as a secluded, professional-grade putting green using GolfGreens™ synthetic turf. Something unique about this green is that the customer wanted putting tiers so that he could challenge himself when practicing. To finish off the property, we also installed an artificial grass walkway that leads to the pool yard.

Nothing is more charming than a quiet garden path complete with stone pavers, wildflowers, and the view of a cozy firepit in the distance.

3 Rail Locust Split-Rail Fence wrapped corral-style around the yard. Primarily installed for dog containment, the wood system is framed heavy gauge welded wire. The black coating is nice because at distance its almost invisible, not taking away from any visibility of the yard, or the appeal of the fence.
