We feel very fortunate to have found Ted Cummins and his outstanding team of professionals at Morning Star Builders to build our dream home in Magnolia. After visiting several builders, we knew we had found the right builder after meeting and talking with Ted and Yvonne. From the very beginning when we looked at the homes Ted had designed, we could tell from his enthusiasm, genuine joy and his attention to detail that he took such pride in building homes for each family’s unique needs and style. He had so many great ideas and suggestions for us. Ted took the time to get to know us and our specific needs and then came back to us with beautiful ideas and suggestions. He was at every meeting with our architect and suggested things we hadn’t thought of to make our home even more functional and beautiful. He truly wanted to build the home we envisioned. Everyone on his team was excited and sincerely committed to delivering an exceptional experience for us. As critical for us was the Project Manager who we were working with on a day-to-day basis. Mike Laga was great to work with. He was always responsive to any issues we had or additional change orders we wanted as we went through the building process. We enjoyed working with Mike and getting to know him personally. We built a great trust in Mike which was also important in the building process as we looked at things that we wanted to modify or identify things that needed improving. Ted has assembled an outstanding team with Morning Star and his contractors. He promised to build us a beautiful home and he did. He stands behind what he says and delivers. We strongly recommend Ted Cummins and Morning Star to build your home. You will love having your dream home come true!

Unfortunately I was quite surprised. I received a text from “Blake” who told me without looking at my plans or speaking to me. That for my square footage it would cost me 1.7-2.5 million. Huge difference in the numbers. Not professional at all. Disappointed

The design and construction team at Morning Star Builders is first rate! Ted and Yvonne Cummings are the owners of the company, and from the beginning to the end of the process, they were very much focused on bringing our concept of what we wanted in a home to life. They worked hard to accommodate all of the items on our wish list, while keeping our budget in mind. We had never built a home from scratch before, and Morning Star Builders kept the stress of this endeavor to a minimum. The architect, David Patterson, is a truly talented professional who incorporated many outstanding design features into the concept that we had of a home inspired by Texas Hill Country architecture. His design for our kitchen was honored as Best Kitchen Design by the Greater Houston Builders Association. Eric Wentworth, VP of Construction, was totally dedicated to overseeing every aspect of the construction, and addressed any issues that arose in a timely fashion. Since we have been in the home, it has fulfilled all of our needs and then some. The home is beautiful, spacious, comfortable and livable. Even after a couple of years our guests’ demand for private "home tours" is still strong! We never tire of showing the remarkable work of Morning Star Builders. We love entertaining our family and friends in this new setting and look forward to many years spent in the home of our dreams.

Fantastic Builder! Ted, Yvonne, Eric, Jay and Chris are all wonderful people to work with. Morning Star has remodeled my house on two separate occasions - an outside patio with kitchen and a complete reconstruction of my master bathroom. Remodels are tough on the owner but Morning Star made every effort to keep my house functional during remodel construction. The craftsmanship and quality of their building approach is excellent but the professionalism of the Morning Star team really stood out to me.

When it comes to working with Morning Star, we've found them to be an excellent builder. They understand what Datasmart does and how our process, skill and knowledge add value to their home and their home buyer experience. Floors Inc. installed, the wood floors and carpet thru out this beautiful home. the 2 different wood floors used are a wide plank and long plank, wire brushed, in a trendy new darker brown color. One of the woods was white washed In the grain, a truly beautiful look. The carpet was spectacular using a couple of Kane carpets In the master, and some really neat pattern carpets on the stairs and media as well as different patterns in the kids room. Very well coordinated thru out. Morning Star builders is one of the best builders I have been privileged to work with. The homes are exciting and thoughtfully laid out. There are so many really neat features I have not seen in similar builders. Ted and Yvonne have put together a very good team of professionals, making my job usually somewhat complicated, much easier and pleasant.
