To match the warmth of our concept, we stained this gorgeous Haywood desk a darker color and accessorized with fun vintage and vintage-inspired pieces. The geometric Kelly Wearstler chandelier from Visual Comfort casts a fantastic effect onto the surrounding walls, especially in person. The Herman Miller wall clock from Mostly Modern and funky wired chair from Joseph Anfuso add more linear forms to the space which beautifully juxtapose the custom oversized floor pillows and faux fur and luxcite stool in the foreground that were recovered with various beautiful fabrics donated by Stark and ROMO. After this organization, similar to Ronald McDonald House, received a gift certificate donated from Dane's design firm for their annual silent auction, they selected DANE AUSTIN DESIGN and his team to makeover this apartment . Great home office space with newly carpeted floors, plenty of built-in book shelves and a built-in desk. Space had multiple desks, filing cabinets and personal photos on walls and shelves and worn carpet. We were selected to create the gardens at the Washington Design House benefiting Children’s Hospital in Washington DC. Donating our time, and construction costs, we transformed a rundown and overgrown garden into a truly magical series of outdoor spaces. Since it was a “design house”, we decided to have some fun with our work, introducing a series of pea gravel “splashes” in the pond garden, enlivening the pool garden with brightly colored cushions and umbrellas, and giving the “dance floor” garden structure and interest by using Emerald Green Arborvitae columns and a mass planting of Rhododendron Roseum Elegance.

KIDSANCTUARY CAMPUS is a charitable organization in Palm Beach County committed to assisting children who have been removed from their homes because of abuse, neglect or abandonment. They are continuing to build a five acre residential facility with homes, an enrichment center and play areas. Palm Beach County graciously donated this land for our project. The campus includes 24-hour care and housing for the children who are considered the most vulnerable in the foster care system. KidSanctuary Campus brings in expert, professional foster parents who raise the children living in our homes. They provide comfort, security and consistency. It is often the first time these children are in such a safe, structured environment.

Sweet Juniper surfs the future countertop for the "campground" grilling area. The vintage blue and yellow kayak supports one of the sail shade clothes to temper the blistering Colorado sun in this back yard's Rocky Mountain "river camp." Volunteers and guests have donated a motley collection of camp chairs, Adirondacks and tacky plastic seats. The feel is one of a welcoming, friendly gathering place that's been there forever

Make a "Blood Donation" station, manned by our life-size, Animated Vladimir Vampire Figure, the fiendishly fun focal point of your Fright Night display. Or, just allow him to send a surprise thrill through guests at the front door or by the buffet. Once the motion or sound activation has been triggered, his eyes light up, his mouth moves, and he speaks two foreboding phrases. Vlad is dressed to kill, devilishly dapper in black velvet slacks, a satiny black shirt with burgundy vest, and, of course, a black velvet cape with satiny red lining. Position his arms and dramatic stand-up collar any way you wish – they're posable.

The previous renovations had been recently completed and were well done. We didn't want to waste the materials or effort that went into them. Instead, we fit this gorgeous stand alone tub in front of the window, right over the second floor laundry below. Really? Didn't this window always need a bathtub in front of it anyway? One money and earth saving technique we used here; the wall sconces are original. We donated the lampshades and used a specialty high heat endurance paint to update their look. Purpose: feed and heal the poor, senior residents with healthier local fruit grown onsite.
