A must see luxury house less than 3 miles from Downtown Naperville. Private and secluded home on a spectacular wooded lot that borders a 14-acre forest preserve. The front patio features perennials, a mahogany stream bridge, 2 mahogany pond decks overlooking koi ponds, waterfalls and 40′ English Arbor. 40′ English Arbor with Wisteria, Clematis, & Akebia. More than 75 trees on the property, along driveway & several ornamentals. Woodland garden with abundant daffodils, scylla, redbuds, columbine, bleeding hearts & lily of the valley. Kitchen garden.

Our client saw our Miraloma Modern project and fell head over heels — to the extent that they inquired about replicating the design for their home. We honed in on elements they loved about the Miraloma Modern project and created a new design that incorporates their specific design perspective for a modern, yet timeless kitchen that felt down to earth. Her love for woods and an interesting backsplash served as the jumping off point for the project.
The lilac marble backsplash and countertops pushed the clients' design sensibilities. Although theyt did not initially plan to incorporate violet tones into the kitchen, the couple both (naturally) loved the color. The dramatic lilac veining is juxtaposed with the client’s proclivity for handcrafted works, including the Bantam Mini Ceramic Pendants by Dumais Made that are positioned above the island and the hand-blown Smoke Glass Arc Pendant by Allied Maker in the Breakfast Room.
Soft, wood elements are found throughout the space with the refinished existing oak wood floors and custom white oak cabinetry, while subtle nods to wood are found in the lighting fixtures.

This 1970's home had a complete makeover! The goal of the project was to 1) open up the main floor living and gathering spaces and 2) create a more beautiful and functional kitchen. We took out the dividing wall between the front living room and the kitchen and dining room to create one large gathering space, perfect for a young family and for entertaining friends!
Onto the exciting part - the kitchen! The existing kitchen was U-Shaped with not much room to have more than 1 person working at a time. We kept the appliances in the same locations, but really expanded the amount of workspace and cabinet storage by taking out the peninsula and adding a large island. The cabinetry, from Holiday Kitchens, is a blue-gray color on the lowers and classic white on the uppers. The countertops are walnut butcherblock on the perimeter and a marble looking quartz on the island. The backsplash, one of our favorites, is a diamond shaped mosaic in a rhombus pattern, which adds just the right amount of texture without overpowering all the gorgeous details of the cabinets and countertops. The hardware is a champagne bronze - one thing we love to do is mix and match our metals! The faucet is from Kohler and is in Matte Black, the sink is from Blanco and is white. The flooring is a luxury vinyl plank with a warm wood tone - which helps bring all the elements of the kitchen together we think!
Overall - this is one of our favorite kitchens to date - so many beautiful details on their own, but put together create this gorgeous kitchen!

All the drawers in this kitchen are 1" solid walnut. This one features a deep pot drawer with upper lid drawer, all in one pull out, for storage and easy organization.

This custom-made glass and wood garage door was ingeniously designed, crafted and installed by Dynamic Garage Door in Los Angeles, CA.
The garage door design is quite eclectic while preserving the warmth of the wood's natural grain and adding glass panes to allow ample natural light to reach the inside of the garage area. Since the Garage is mainly used as a children's playroom it was important for the homeowner to have enough glass windows on the garage door to allow natural light in but strong enough to support children playing inside. The glass panes are tempered for added strength and precautionary measures. The bottom garage door panel is composed of solid wood raised panels which creates a safety barrier through the lower portion of the door and also to add architectural elements seen in Spanish Colonial Architecture already.
The eclectic taste of this custom wood garage door is a fabulous fit for most any type of architectural home style. For instance this garage door design can easily be used on Craftsman, Arts & Crafts style homes while it would be a game in a modern or contemporary home as well. All of our custom garage doors are designed for your specific needs so the stain color, wood species and glass type can be intermixed and changed to suit your home's existing architectural elements.
We specialize custom garage door design and manufacturing. As a licensed California contractor firm we can install all over California as well or if you're out of the state we continuously ship so that clients all over the country can enjoy the luxury of custom-designed garage doors made to their home's specifications and unique style!

WIth a lot of love and labor, Robinson Home helped to bring this dated 1980's ranch style house into the 21st century. The central part of the house went through major changes including the addition of a back deck, the removal of some interior walls, and the relocation of the kitchen just to name a few. The result is a much more light and airy space that flows much better than before.
There is a ton to say about this project so feel free to comment with any questions.
