Inspiration for a timeless closet remodel in Los Angeles with white cabinets

This project was an extensive kitchen remodel. Our goal was to open up the space, while still creating storage and function. We added a large pantry with custom old fashion hanging wood barn door. High-end stainless steel appliances, with a separate space for the refrigerator and freezer and wood beams to add dimension. Mixing color, various woodstains to fit the eclectic style of this room. New to the area, this client wanted to modernize and clean up this older 1980's home on one floor covering 3500 sq ft. on the golf course. Clean lines and a neutral material palette blends the home into the landscape, while careful craftsmanship gives the home a clean and contemporary appearance. We first met the client when we were asked to re-design the client future kitchen. The layout was not making any progress with the architect, so they asked us to step and give them a hand. The outcome is wonderful, full and expanse kitchen. The kitchen lead to assisting the client throughout the entire home. We were also challenged to meet the clients desired design details but also to meet a certain budget number.

Inspiration for a contemporary built-in desk home office remodel in Minneapolis with white walls

This expansive Victorian had tremendous historic charm but hadn’t seen a kitchen renovation since the 1950s. The homeowners wanted to take advantage of their views of the backyard and raised the roof and pushed the kitchen into the back of the house, where expansive windows could allow southern light into the kitchen all day. A warm historic gray/beige was chosen for the cabinetry, which was contrasted with character oak cabinetry on the appliance wall and bar in a modern chevron detail. Kitchens are magical and this chef wanted a kitchen full of the finest appliances and storage accessories available to make this busy household function better. We were working with the curved wood windows but we opened up the wall between the kitchen and family room, which allowed for a expansive countertop for the family to interact with the accomplished home chef. The flooring was not changed we simply worked with the floor plan and improved the layout.

This center kitchen island is perfect for adding extra storage to the space as well as creating a central prep and eating surface. The green countertop adds visual interest and accents the black island cabinetry. Normandy Remodeling

The kitchen was created in Lafontaine door style in Maple wood type finished in Marshmallow Cream with inset door in Maple wood type finished with custom stain. The kitchen was created with optional five-piece drawer headers. The kitchen was designed by Mike McNally of Builders Cabinet Supply and Kristin Petro of Kristin Petro Interiors, Elmhurst IL.
