Love the variation in this tile from Sonoma tileworks! This client wanted a warm kitchen without any gray. The countertops have a warm veining pattern to go with the brown wood tones and we added some rustic/industrial details to make it feel like the client's mountain cabin.

Full guest bathroom converted from a little used sewing room. Completed in tandem with master bathroom in adjacent room. All new plumbing, flooring, and tile. Traditional clawfoot tub by windows. Large hex tile floors. Subway tile walls and shower with glass enclosure, black penny round tile shower floor with hidden drain. New pedestal sink with traditional faucet. Brand new two piece toilet.

Master suite addition to an existing 20's Spanish home in the heart of Sherman Oaks, approx. 300+ sq. added to this 1300sq. home to provide the needed master bedroom suite. the large 14' by 14' bedroom has a 1 lite French door to the back yard and a large window allowing much needed natural light, the new hardwood floors were matched to the existing wood flooring of the house, a Spanish style arch was done at the entrance to the master bedroom to conform with the rest of the architectural style of the home. The master bathroom on the other hand was designed with a Scandinavian style mixed with Modern wall mounted toilet to preserve space and to allow a clean look, an amazing gloss finish freestanding vanity unit boasting wall mounted faucets and a whole wall tiled with 2x10 subway tile in a herringbone pattern. For the floor tile we used 8x8 hand painted cement tile laid in a pattern pre determined prior to installation. The wall mounted toilet has a huge open niche above it with a marble shelf to be used for decoration. The huge shower boasts 2x10 herringbone pattern subway tile, a side to side niche with a marble shelf, the same marble material was also used for the shower step to give a clean look and act as a trim between the 8x8 cement tiles and the bark hex tile in the shower pan. Notice the hidden drain in the center with tile inserts and the great modern plumbing fixtures in an old work antique bronze finish. A walk-in closet was constructed as well to allow the much needed storage space.

I was hired by my previous employer, Corvallis Custom Kitchens and Baths to assist these homeowners with all of the materials, fixtures and finish choices to complete this master bathroom remodel. Brian Egan, owner and designer at CCKB in Sept 2017, since retired), designed this aging-in-place, accessible shower (previously a shower and separate soaker tub) for the clients who reside in an over 55 community here in Corvallis. Large format 12x24 unpolished Crossville Kosmos Moonstruck tile was chosen for the bathroom floor and the shower walls to minimize grout lines. For the shower floor/pan small 1x1 DalTile Keystones Marble color tile was used to aid in making the floor feel extra slip resistant as the Keystones tiles do not have grittier feeling surface than porcelain tile. For safety and a non-industrial look, Moen Align chrome designer grab bars were installed in the shower and toilet room. The handshower and rainshower head system by Grohe beautifully combines the 2 systems in one unit called Retrofit 160. To allow the homeowners to turn the shower on and warm up without them having to step in the direct spray of the shower head, the controls were placed under the window near the shower entry. This would also allow a helper to assist anyone using the shower in the future should the need arise. A linear drain was installed to pull water away from the zero threshold shower entry. Installing a linear shower drain allows for a no threshold shower which can allow for the shower to be accessible with a walker or roll-in with a wheelchair as the shower was designed almost 40" wide. The homeowners were thrilled with the transformation of their bathroom. The design and material choices fit their tastes and needs perfectly. Now they can continue to age in place and not worry about how they would be able to bathe if something were to decrease their mobility. Photos by: H. Needham

This project shows the remodel of a small 1950's vintage home master bathroom. 8"" x 18" Calcutta gold marble tile was used on the shower walls and floor wall base and ceramic gray penny tile on the floor. Shower includes curbless pan / floor, dual shower boxes, frameless glass slider, trough duel fixture sink and chrome fixtures.

This couple came to us as newly transplanted homeowners in Sterling, MA, uprooted from Rochester, MA so they could be closer to their growing family and granddaughter. The former kitchen was a bit of a “Plain Jane”, but we transformed it into a charming, modern country farmhouse kitchen. The custom paint color on the cabinets came from a Wood-Mode sample called “Agate.” This lovely paint color is a chameleon, ranging from gray/green, to a beautiful blue hue depending on the lighting conditions. The uniqueness of this color is what caught the homeowner’s eye and it has become a customer favorite. This Sterling home is the perfect setting for such a beautiful color! As a trained chef and former restaurant owner, the husband does all the cooking in the house. Ample room was needed for prepping and serving, so he loves the long, wide peninsula. A full-height quartz backsplash behind the range and sink make for easy clean up. Very deep drawers flank both sides of the range, and the top drawer has special storage for spices. The cabinet over the refrigerator has vertical partitions for both cookie sheets, trays and pans. A tall pantry to the right of the refrigerator is equipped with heavy duty wood rollouts perfect for storing dry goods. Conveniently located to the right of the sink is a double trash cabinet. The end of the peninsula also has a 27” wide cabinet with dual rollouts storing small appliances, casserole dishes & Tupperware. The new space has plenty of room for prepping, cooking and entertaining family and guests in the adjacent dining room. Stepping outside the “white & gray” of common paints into this beautiful custom color has delighted these customers and their friends. We find it both inviting and soothing, a cool color that will be stylish for years to come! A small bathroom is given a clean, bright, and contemporary look. Storage was key to this design, so we made sure to give our clients plenty of hidden space throughout the room. We installed a full-height linen closet which, thanks to the pull-out shelves, stays conveniently tucked away as well as vanity with U-shaped drawers, perfect for storing smaller items. The shower also provides our clients with storage opportunity, with two large shower niches - one with four built-in glass shelves. For a bit of sparkle and contrast to the all-white interior, we added a copper glass tile accent to the second niche. Bathroom - modern bathroom idea in New York

This amazing bathroom was renovated to have a modern flare. The tile is a shiny gray porcelain that has a rectified edge so it could be butted up tight and the grout lines minimal. My client had previously chosen this tile throughout her home. The Graff Luna freestanding tub filler is mounted on a floating glass mosaic tiled wall. We relocated the tub. Instead of saw cutting into the slab floor we built a platform to hide the plumbing that the tub rests on. The floating vanity cabinets are made of laminate beautifully displaying the quartz countertop with a straight 3" mitered edge. The sides of the countertops drop to the floor on each side of the cabinet, known as a waterfall edge. My client and I designed a cut in wave on the tiled floor leading into the shiny white shower with a floating white quartz bench seat. We built in custom planters made from the quartz countertop material that balance out each side of the floating tub wall in the center of the bathroom. I must say, throughout this design process my client was involved the entire time. She played an integral role in selecting the amazing fixtures seen in this master bathroom remodel. She needed help with the layout so she reached out to us. As you can see in the results we collaborated well together. It was pleasure to work with a client who has such exquisite taste.

The design concept balances a fine line between modern masculinity and feminine elegance. Mixing metals and materials were key to achieving a timeless aesthetic throughout the room.
