This new modern house is located in a meadow in Lenox MA. The house is designed as a series of linked pavilions to connect the house to the nature and to provide the maximum daylight in each room. The center focus of the home is the largest pavilion containing the living/dining/kitchen, with the guest pavilion to the south and the master bedroom and screen porch pavilions to the west. While the roof line appears flat from the exterior, the roofs of each pavilion have a pronounced slope inward and to the north, a sort of funnel shape. This design allows rain water to channel via a scupper to cisterns located on the north side of the house. Huge mountain style red two-story wood exterior home photo in Minneapolis

An aesthetically pleasing Western Red Cedar with Red Copper flashing installation on this expansive Weston, CT residence. We installed 6,500 square feet of Watkins Sawmill pressure-treated 5/8" taper sawn shakes over a full ice and water membrane and cedar breather mat. All valley and protrusion flashing was done with 16 oz red copper. While many aspects of this job are noteworthy, we are especially proud of the turret roof over the 16 sided attached sunroom at the rear of the home.

Inspiration for a coastal gray two-story wood exterior home remodel in Boston with a shingle roof

This home office includes a wooden ceiling made of Western red cedar, walls covered with Japanese "mud" plaster (juraku), an alcove for placing art work (tokonoma), tatami-mat floor, shoji window screens, a bamboo latticed window (shitaji mado), and a low table that can be hydraulically raised up and down. When the table is lowered into the floor, it is covered with a tatami mat, providing more space and options for use of the room..

The custom wine cellar was made using non-aromatic western red cedar with hidden LED lighting and a decanting shelf with puck lights. The floating shelves were installed on the natural stone tile wall for additional bottle display. The slate sign was made for the homeowners after a trip to Italy. The sign reads "HO SEMPRE PENSATO CHE BERE FACESSE MALE, COSì HO SMESSO DI PENSARE…." or "I always thought drinking was bad, so I stopped thinking…."
