The sectional’s perks are plentiful; with deep seating you can’t help but sink into and refreshing accent pillows you must cuddle up to, you may lose yourself, but you’ll find your peace of mind. Bright-striped and striking, the coordinating cocktail ottoman stands on turned, dark walnut-finished legs and plays host to trays of treats or extra guests.

ASID Design Excellence First Place Residential – Kitchen and Bathroom: Michael Merrill Design Studio was approached three years ago by the homeowner to redesign her kitchen. Although she was dissatisfied with some aspects of her home, she still loved it dearly. As we discovered her passion for design, we began to rework her entire home--room by room, top to bottom.

This was a Chinese drywall renovation that Kingon Homes completed this year in the Veranda. The interior was gutted down to the studs, all wiring got replaced including drywall, cabinets and flooring. This pool was rebuilt from its previous location, in the backyard and away from the house, to the side yard and elevated 8' to bring it in line with the house. A pool house with a fireplace, seating, and draperies was added at one end, while a water feature and spa were added to the side. Lush plantings were incorporated to the entire property, pool area, in coordinating pots and urns. The pool decking is blue stone.
