The owners hail from Europe and were looking for a home built of materials that would last. The steel frame, cementitious siding, concrete and glass making up the structure will endure for many years, making the house more sustainable.
Built over a basement, the two story home uses two large glass lanterns, or light tunnels, to bring in daylight to all levels. One functions as the stairwell and both exhaust heat through operable skylights at the top. The basement is also daylit by a large exterior light well that creates a small walk-out patio.
The bedrooms open onto a roof deck. Downstairs the secondary bedroom suite is used as a full-time office. The open plan living space and kitchen open to the rear yard to bring in light and view. The front of the house is shaded by an ancient oak tree that was carefully preserved throughout construction.

The kitchen's allure is further enhanced by the mesmerizing Cambria quartz countertops, adorned with captivating movements and patterns in shades of browns and grays. These countertops not only add visual intrigue but also exude a timeless elegance that elevates the overall aesthetic.
Grounding the space with an understated yet impactful element, wide plank wood floors in varying shades of brown serve as the room's centerpiece, imparting warmth and character to the surroundings.

While working with the Exteriors By Mosby team, the homeowners revealed they would like their home to reflect a Craftsman style, and this was the key to an inspired re-design of their homes exterior.
The exterior transformation begins by changing the 2nd story roof line from flat to gabled and installing CertainTeed Landmark 30-year architectural roof shingles. The old vinyl siding is replaced with a combination of CertainTeed insulated cedar board siding, cedar shake shingles in the 2nd story and garage gables, and vertical board and batten inside the front porch.
The existing front door is retained and repainted to match the new overhead garage door. All the brick on the front façade was removed and replaced with cultured ledgestone. And the original front porch is demolished for a new concrete pour that is 12” deeper, with a new sidewalk, and 3 tapered columns with stone bases for a true Craftsman feel.
The stone carries through to a new chimney, and in the backyard for 4 new columns supporting the covered patio overlooking the pool. Existing concrete decking was resurfaced or replaced. The homeowners are absolutely delighted with their exterior makeover, and feel secure about the enduring quality because the project is covered by a 10-year workmanship warranty.

This Leawood, Kansas primary bathroom remodel was designed to support a growing family's changing needs while creating a more functional and timeless retreat. The existing layout was reimagined to improve daily routines, replacing an underutilized bathtub with a spacious walk-in shower featuring dual showerheads and a transom window that fills the space with natural light while maintaining privacy.
The renovation extended beyond the bathroom to enhance the adjoining closet. By reclaiming square footage from the former shower location, the design created additional storage and incorporated a dedicated washer and dryer for greater everyday convenience. Thoughtful planning and purposeful design decisions helped maximize functionality without sacrificing style.
Completed just before the homeowners welcomed their new baby, this remodel was designed to simplify daily life while providing a beautiful and enduring space that will serve the family for years to come.

An expansive but not overly large kitchen created in the Greene and Greene Style. The island's legs are cherry, as is the rest of the kitchen. However though rarely used, quartered sawn sycamore makes up the casework portion of the island. The lightness of the wood assists in keeping the feel of the kitchen large while providing interest. Beyond the range and oven cabinet are full pull out pantry storage areas and a pantry closet with custom interior shelving and pull outs. The backsplash against the wall is wood to maintain a seamless presentation while the backsplash on the opposite side is granite along the sink wall. Meticulous craftsmanship was required of all of the elements typical of the best of Greene and Greene style work. Jaeger & Ernst cabinetmakers welcome the challenge of unique designs and details. We strive to present functionality and importantly, a thing so pleasing to the eye. The Arts & Crafts motto: Enduring, Useful and Beautiful certainly applies.

This renovation transformed the home into a more generous, welcoming, and highly personalized space—one built for connection, comfort, and the everyday rituals that make a house feel deeply lived in.

Today, not only for an exterior, brick is one of the trendiest interior design elements, especially for kitchens. Its incredibly durable structure makes the brick a perfect material for kitchens. IMAGIO too the beauty of brick and combined it with the strength of tempered glass creating this beautiful custom weathered brick solid glass backsplash for our customer. We were able to provide the look of bricks texture with a smooth surface! A solid glass backsplash is the logical choice, because after all, backsplashes can get messy, and the easier to clean the better. Need more reasons solid glass is the way to go for your backsplash?
1) IMAGIO glass is precision cut to fit your kitchen. With tile, corners and edges have dis proportioned pieces and careless cuts. Our glass is cut and fit to size leaving it seamless, clean and crisp.
2) Glass is a naturally antimicrobial surface, thus more sanitary than traditional tile or stone in a kitchen space.
3) IMAGIO glass is also very easy to clean requires no maintenance! To clean just use your favorite cleaning product with a soft cloth to wipe spatters away!
Glass is a non porous surface so it is impossible to stain.
4) IMAGIO glass is physically and thermally stronger than regular glass or tile. We use tough tempered glass, meaning it is more durable and can endure high heat.
5) Grout looks great but it requires cleaning and maintenance and that is why we say grout is OUT here at IMAGIO. We have created, with our ultra clear glass, a way to enjoy the looks of natural stone and tile seamlessly and without grout.
6) Healthy kitchen design with endless design possibilities.
