Originally constructed in the 1700s, this historic building once served as a barn, enduring the test of time for centuries. Today, it has been rejuvenated into an artist's studio, thoughtfully designed by architect Anthony Miksitz, preserving its rich heritage while accommodating a new purpose.
The studio boasts exposed support beams and soaring ceilings, paying homage to the structure's original function. A generous storefront window and door maintain the spacious ambiance of a barn, allowing an abundance of natural light and glimpses of the surrounding greenery to flood in. To ensure consistent lighting throughout, skylights have been thoughtfully incorporated into both the studio and bathroom.
In the spirit of creating a versatile space that meets every need without disrupting the creative process, we have equipped the barn with modern plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC. Additionally, a well-appointed kitchen alcove and a comfortable sleeping loft have been seamlessly integrated, ideal for extended and uninterrupted creative sessions.

This refined transitional kitchen remodel blends timeless design with modern functionality. Light shaker-style cabinetry is paired with warm wood accents, including a custom statement island and matching wood range hood, creating balance and depth throughout the space. Quartz countertops, a classic white subway tile backsplash, and clean black hardware keep the palette fresh and elevated, while glass globe pendants add a soft modern touch. A farmhouse apron-front sink beneath an arched window brings character and charm, complemented by professional-grade stainless steel appliances and thoughtful storage solutions. Designed for both everyday living and entertaining, this kitchen feels bright, welcoming, and enduring.

This kitchen remodeling project in Irving, is part of a whole house remodel Kitchen and Bath Shop did recently. In this kitchen, we used quartz countertops, a farmhouse sink, open shelves, and white, long-endurance cabinets.

Inside, the home continues its disciplined aesthetic—open, airy, and rooted in natural texture. White oak floors, custom cabinetry, and stone countertops create a neutral foundation that highlights the home’s architectural lines. The open floor plan connects kitchen, dining, and living areas, while expansive window walls extend sightlines into the landscape.
Mechanical and structural systems are discreetly integrated for comfort and performance. High-efficiency insulation, HVAC zoning, and moisture control ensure long-term durability and efficiency. Outdoor living areas—terraces, porches, and patios—mirror the main structure’s material language, with continuous stone and wood elements that blur the boundary between interior and exterior.

Picture this: a large-scale renovation and addition, a dream team collaboration with Krieger Klatt Architects, Mosher Dolan, and Whitmer Design, and clients who wanted it all. Timeless? Yes. Eclectic? Absolutely. Funky yet grounded in tradition? You bet. Our clients desired a space that was both enduringly classic and delightfully unique—and we delivered.
Our clients craved a space that was functional for a bustling family life (hello, kids and constant entertaining!) but also a showstopper. The goal? To create a timeless kitchen and pantry that felt like an extension of the home's traditional bones while making a strong statement. Challenge accepted.

The owners hail from Europe and were looking for a home built of materials that would last. The steel frame, cementitious siding, concrete and glass making up the structure will endure for many years, making the house more sustainable.
Built over a basement, the two story home uses two large glass lanterns, or light tunnels, to bring in daylight to all levels. One functions as the stairwell and both exhaust heat through operable skylights at the top. The basement is also daylit by a large exterior light well that creates a small walk-out patio.
The bedrooms open onto a roof deck. Downstairs the secondary bedroom suite is used as a full-time office. The open plan living space and kitchen open to the rear yard to bring in light and view. The front of the house is shaded by an ancient oak tree that was carefully preserved throughout construction.

This kitchen remodeling project in Springfeild, is part of a whole house remodel Kitchen and Bath Shop did recently. In this kitchen, we used quartz countertops, a farmhouse sink, open shelves, and white, long-endurance cabinets.

This kitchen was 24 years old with the cabinets and appliances not functioning well, the flooring was cracked and in bad shape and the kitchen needed a facelift. Audrey & Karl Schmitt chose Cabinet-S-Top because we are one-stop shop and could remodel everything from floor to ceiling. This white kitchen is a timeless beauty with a style that endures and has many design features to highlight; but the customer loves the way we separated the refrigerator and freezer with a beautiful pantry to give it a more furniture feel. Audrey and Karl praised their designer, Betty Nairn and said she is beyond awesome and is professional, creative, and easy to talk to!

Similar to the entry, we carried the same moody tones into the office. Our clients wanted a space that enabled uninterrupted focus. We answered their call with deep blues, dark wood tones, and the most comfortable rolling office chair to guarantee hours of comfort while at work.
In the second office, our clients wanted this to be much brighter. It's a more high traffic area so we went with a creamy white on the wall and an LVP on the floor to withstand all of the foot traffic it will endure. In this room, we focused on concealed storage.

Bathed in natural light and wrapped in serene neutrals, this remodeled bathroom blends spa-like indulgence with timeless sophistication. The walk-in shower, featuring sleek bronze fixtures, a rain showerhead, and a built-in bench topped with veined marble, is framed by hexagonal slate tiles underfoot. A half-wall of marble and glass offers privacy without sacrificing openness, seamlessly connecting to the vanity area. Twin vanities, adorned with warm taupe cabinetry, brushed bronze hardware, and expansive mirrors, provide symmetry and elegance, while pops of deep blue in the hand towels add a refreshing touch. The result is a retreat where modern comfort meets enduring style.

Newly relocated from Nashville, TN, this couple’s high-rise condo was completely renovated and furnished by our team with a central focus around their extensive art collection. Color and style were deeply influenced by the few pieces of furniture brought with them and we had a ball designing to bring out the best in those items. Classic finishes were chosen for kitchen and bathrooms, which will endure the test of time, while bolder, “personality” choices were made in other areas, such as the powder bath, guest bedroom, and study. Overall, this home boasts elegance and charm, reflecting the homeowners perfectly. Goal achieved: a place where they can live comfortably and enjoy entertaining their friends often!
