building Lab, inc.Eichler in Marinwood - At the larger scale of the property existed a desire to soften and deepen the engagement between the house and the street frontage. As such, the landscaping palette consists of textures chosen for subtlety and granularity. Spaces are layered by way of planting, diaphanous fencing and lighting. The interior engages the front of the house by the insertion of a floor to ceiling glazing at the dining room.
Jog-in path from street to house maintains a sense of privacy and sequential unveiling of interior/private spaces. This non-atrium model is invested with the best aspects of the iconic eichler configuration without compromise to the sense of order and orientation.

The glass bowl was made in the glass studio owned by the owner which is adjacent to the residence. The mirror is a repurposed window. The door is repurposed from a boarding house.

CSJ Remodeling & DesignA refined transitional primary bathroom featuring custom-laid Carrara marble tile installed in a distinctive herringbone pattern throughout the main floor. The space centers on a white shaker-style double vanity topped with a matching Carrara marble countertop, undermount sinks, and high-contrast matte black fixtures. Detailed tile craftsmanship extends into the shower area with basketweave floor tile and crisp white subway wall tile.
McNeil Design Group InteriorsTo transform the original 4.5 Ft wide one-sided closet into a spacious Master Walk-in Closet, the adjoining rooms were assessed and a plan set in place to give space to the new Master Closet without detriment to the adjoining rooms. Opening out the space allowed for custom closed cabinetry and custom open organizers to flank walls and maximize the storage opportunities. The lighting was immensely upgraded with LED recessed and a stunning centre fixture, all on separate controllable dimmers. A glamorous palette of chocolates, plum, gray and twinkling chrome set the tone of this elegant Master Closet.
