Our Award Nominated project,Violet street was a huge transformation from start to finish. Our goal was to take the main floor of the house from the 80’s to the 21st century by creating an open concept living area and a chef’s kitchen. Removing the unnecessary walls created and open concept main floor with a chef's kitchen and an island that is over eleven feet long. Storage was a concern in the previously small kitchen; with that in mind we added in some full height pantry units with roll out shelves. The pantry units flank a built in desk and glass cabinets which has quickly become the landing zone for the kitchen and the perfect spot for planning their dinner menu. We elevated the look of the desk by running the back splash from the floor right up to the top as the backing inside the glass cabinets. The living room was also given a new lease on life. All the cabinetry was done in a white washed oak to define the living space from the kitchen; this is especially important in open concept. Built in cabinetry now frames the fireplace, giving the living room a focal point. Violet St has now been elevated to the present time and is a wonderful space to entertain and test your culinary abilities. Now this home is ready to be filled with many happy memories and moments.

This transitional kitchen remodel features custom shaker cabinetry, a warm wood-stained island, and a highly functional U-shaped layout designed for everyday living. The original kitchen was reimagined to improve flow, storage, and lighting while maintaining a timeless, neutral color palette. Light greige custom cabinets extend to the ceiling with crown molding for a built-in look, paired with soft-close drawers and doors for lasting durability. Deep drawer storage near the range, expanded island storage, and improved corner cabinetry solutions maximize organization and efficiency. Under-cabinet lighting and recessed ceiling lighting enhance task areas and create a bright, welcoming atmosphere. Wide plank wood flooring in a natural finish adds warmth and complements the neutral cabinetry, while the centered sink under the window brings in natural light and balances the layout. What is Americana in today's time? The classical American ranch home has withstood the test of time and saw many styles and many designs change it every decade or so. Today we present to you our take on modern time Americana. We enclosed the small front porch area to create an interior atrium/mud room with a built-in beach with shoes storage drawers and a door leading to the garage. As you walk in you will see the fireplace with its new stone facade and wooden mantel above. Notice the design is a semi-open floor plan. A floating wall (not connected to any other walls) divides the kitchen and the living room but is still open to be able to enjoy circular movement around the house when entertaining. The kitchen is a combination of sage color with Alder wood accent cabinets and island. some cool cabinets feature like hidden garage appliances with pull out bases. extra deep base cabinets and beautiful Dekton stone countertops. This stone is almost indestructible when it comes to kitchens. The 200sq addition at the back allowed us to enlarge the master bedroom and the old bathrooms where all aligned the extension allowed us to build an additional powder room as well. A good size walk-in closet was added as well with a new master bathroom service the enlarged master bedroom. The result is what we consider today’s Americana for the classical ranch homes.

The Twin Peaks Passive House + ADU was designed and built to remain resilient in the face of natural disasters. Fortunately, the same great building strategies and design that provide resilience also provide a home that is incredibly comfortable and healthy while also visually stunning. This home’s journey began with a desire to design and build a house that meets the rigorous standards of Passive House. Before beginning the design/ construction process, the homeowners had already spent countless hours researching ways to minimize their global climate change footprint. As with any Passive House, a large portion of this research was focused on building envelope design and construction. The wall assembly is combination of six inch Structurally Insulated Panels (SIPs) and 2x6 stick frame construction filled with blown in insulation. The roof assembly is a combination of twelve inch SIPs and 2x12 stick frame construction filled with batt insulation. The pairing of SIPs and traditional stick framing allowed for easy air sealing details and a continuous thermal break between the panels and the wall framing. Beyond the building envelope, a number of other high performance strategies were used in constructing this home and ADU such as: battery storage of solar energy, ground source heat pump technology, Heat Recovery Ventilation, LED lighting, and heat pump water heating technology. In addition to the time and energy spent on reaching Passivhaus Standards, thoughtful design and carefully chosen interior finishes coalesce at the Twin Peaks Passive House + ADU into stunning interiors with modern farmhouse appeal. The result is a graceful combination of innovation, durability, and aesthetics that will last for a century to come. Despite the requirements of adhering to some of the most rigorous environmental standards in construction today, the homeowners chose to certify both their main home and their ADU to Passive House Standards. From a meticulously designed building envelope that tested at 0.62 ACH50, to the extensive solar array/ battery bank combination that allows designated circuits to function, uninterrupted for at least 48 hours, the Twin Peaks Passive House has a long list of high performance features that contributed to the completion of this arduous certification process. The ADU was also designed and built with these high standards in mind. Both homes have the same wall and roof assembly ,an HRV, and a Passive House Certified window and doors package. While the main home includes a ground source heat pump that warms both the radiant floors and domestic hot water tank, the more compact ADU is heated with a mini-split ductless heat pump. The end result is a home and ADU built to last, both of which are a testament to owners’ commitment to lessen their impact on the environment.

An older white traditional kitchen was transformed into a transitional style modern masterpiece. Dated, angular countertop edges on both the perimeter cabinets and the oversized island were replaced with straight profile countertops in a standard projection. Traditional raised panel cabinet doors were replaced with shaker-style custom doors, creating a modern classic look that will stand the test of time. Above the island, the glass pendants were replaced with sleek silver farmhouse-style pendants. The new black hardware was paired beautifully with the blue-painted island, new stainless steel commercial grade appliances and a large white farmhouse sink. The subtly veined white Avenza polished Pental quartz countertops were complemented with white classic tile in an interesting herringbone pattern.

This TVL project focused primarily on a gut of this home's only bathroom and included a facelift in the kitchen as well. This lovely Denver home features a very tiny bathroom with mostly original features. Our client requested a makeover to the bathroom that would improve function & health as well as push the bright white minimalism she loves so much throughout her home. Respecting both budget and timeline, we worked to create a highly functional space with nods toward European bathroom design. We increased space between the toilet and vanity while also increasing storage by integrating a vanity with drawers rather than a pedestal sink. We utilized high gloss white tile on the floors to help expand light and replaced all major plumbing fixtures for a fresh look. The bathroom now features a much deeper alcove tub, elongated white subway tiles on the walls, shiny chrome faucet fixtures, and a new vanity light. In the kitchen, new white shaker cabinets were installed and paired with a simple white subway tile backsplash. White quartz countertops and new hardwood floors were also added. We love the clean, bright, simple nature of every space in this house and are so happy our wonderful client can enjoy these for years to come!

Our mission was to completely update and transform their huge house into a cozy, welcoming and warm home of their own. “When we moved in, it was such a novelty to live in a proper house. But it still felt like the in-law’s home,” our clients told us. “Our dream was to make it feel like our home.” Our transformation skills were put to the test when we created the host-worthy kitchen space (complete with a barista bar!) that would double as the heart of their home and a place to make memories with their friends and family. We upgraded and updated their dark and uninviting family room with fresh furnishings, flooring and lighting and turned those beautiful exposed beams into a feature point of the space. The end result was a flow of modern, welcoming and authentic spaces that finally felt like home. And, yep … the invite was officially sent out! Our clients had an eclectic style rich in history, culture and a lifetime of adventures. We wanted to highlight these stories in their home and give their memorabilia places to be seen and appreciated. The at-home office was crafted to blend subtle elegance with a calming, casual atmosphere that would make it easy for our clients to enjoy spending time in the space (without it feeling like they were working!) We carefully selected a pop of color as the feature wall in the primary suite and installed a gorgeous shiplap ledge wall for our clients to display their meaningful art and memorabilia. Then, we carried the theme all the way into the ensuite to create a retreat that felt complete.

This project in Southampton involved a full kitchen remodel, beginning with the removal of the existing kitchen and a complete reconfiguration of the space. From minor building works to final decoration, every stage was carefully managed to ensure a seamless transformation. The new kitchen features a contemporary shaker design that blends clean, modern lines with a warm, homely feel, making it ideal for a busy family lifestyle. A practical peninsula provides generous prep space and casual seating, creating a true hub of the home. Oak shelves with integrated LED lighting add depth and warmth to the design, while full-height cabinetry ensures every inch of space is maximised. Solid timber doors were chosen for their durability and quality, guaranteeing a kitchen that will stand the test of time. The result is a space that delivers both style and practicality, beautifully tailored to modern family living and designed to be enjoyed for years to come.

After undertaking a few minor updates over the years, these homeowners came to us ready to tear out their kitchen and start from scratch. The existing kitchen was large, but not laid out well for the everyday use it was getting. A bulky double fireplace in the center of the living space took up a lot of room and made the dining room feel disconnected from the kitchen, despite the substantial opening between the two. We removed the oversized wood burning fireplace and replaced it with a smaller gas one with shiplap above, creating a stylish featured piece. Meanwhile the kitchen was reimagined and reorganized into a functional space for a home chef that will work better for years to come. These homeowners’ main concern was to update the style and function, as well as having quality materials that would stand the test of time. They wanted updated, gray cabinets; but didn’t want to lose any of the warm feeling of their home. Together with our design team they chose a light, warm gray for the perimeter cabinets and a darker gray to make the island a focal piece. The warm, light colored quartz countertops blend with the lighter gray and contrast nicely with the island. The textured dark blue backsplash tile adds a fun and exciting pop of color without stealing attention from any of the other pieces. To further maintain the warmth, they chose a rich walnut flooring with bold grain patterns. When the homeowners fell in love with some contemporary brass colored light fixtures, they were nervous that they would compete with their stainless steel appliances and other silver toned pieces. By keeping all the lights in the same color family, we were able to achieve a look that feels intentional and modern. The corner 3-light pendant adds light and interest to the space. Not wanting to take up wall cabinet space with a bulky microwave, they opted for one built into a base cabinet. The other small appliances are neatly hidden away behind custom appliance garages. For the fireplace, we focused on a clean, bright look that would stand out and look beautiful without competing with the neighboring kitchen. A small powder bathroom was also reorganized to better utilize the potential storage space and add counter space for guests. The style of the kitchen cabinetry was incorporated into the bathroom as well as into the dining room, which featured glass front cabinets to display dishes and mementos. The redesigned space resulted in a warm and beautiful kitchen and dining area that will be enjoyed for years to come. The main floor living space now feels as cohesive as it was always meant to.

This transitional kitchen design left no detail to chance, and the end result is a stunning open plan kitchen remodel that will stand the test of time. The warm, inviting kitchen includes DuraSupreme white perimeter and gray island cabinetry. They are highlighted by Hafele undercabinet and in cabinet lighting, as well as ample storage accessories like pull out spice racks, roll outs, tray dividers, and more. Task Lighting angled powerstrips are tucked neatly under the edge of the Cambria quartz countertop, and the Richelieu hardware and Riobel faucet and soap dispenser complete the look. The design includes Kitchenaid appliances and a Sharp microwave drawer, as well as a beverage bar with a Marvel undercabinet beverage refrigerator. The walk in pantry has roll out shelves, a frosted glass custom pocket door, and motion lights. A mudroom sits just off the kitchen, and includes DuraSupreme cabinets, Polis It Rocks porcelain tile floor in kohl, and granite tops. This was a treat for me to return to my client's Sauvie Island home for the third project together. An update to her kitchen this time. She wanted to lighten the space, and create an uplifting and fresh feel - possibly with a light green cabinet color. I had this color custom mixed for her at Miller Paint. After several tests, this was the one, and she LOVED the final result. The backsplash was also a big hit, since it conveys the shape of a leaf, and has some interesting light reflective qualities. I was able to move the refrigerator to the other wall, and add new cabinetry, plus a pull out trash feature as a needed upgrade. The dark floors work well as a contrast to the lighter overall color of the space. The new induction stovetop was also on the wishlist, so we were able to achieve just the look and feel that she was hoping for.

Our Homeowner lives in a condo and wanted something better than what the builder had installed. We started by updating the flooring to a waterproof luxury vinyl that would withstand the test of time and look great doing it. Custom, Benjamin Moore painted cabinetry was then installed, followed by beautiful quartz countertops and backsplash and undercabinet lighting. This condo kitchen is definitely very beautiful!
