This family room is a stunning blend of modern farmhouse charm and contemporary elegance. The focal point of the room is the vaulted ceiling, accentuated by exposed natural wood beams, which adds warmth and a rustic touch to the otherwise bright and airy space. A large, candle-style black wagon wheel chandelier hangs from the ceiling, drawing the eye upward and providing a bold contrast to the light tones throughout the room. At the center of the room is a cozy seating area, featuring an oversized modern white sectional sofa with a natural wood base, creating a soft, inviting space for relaxation. The furnishings are grounded by a neutral area rug that blends seamlessly with the light wood flooring, maintaining a harmonious, cohesive feel. The fireplace serves as the architectural centerpiece of the room, framed by white shiplap paneling that extends up to the ceiling. A natural wood mantel adds warmth and texture, complementing the beams above. Above the fireplace, a mounted TV offers modern convenience without detracting from the room’s aesthetic. Natural light pours in through large black-framed windows, further enhancing the connection between the interior and the outdoors. The mid-century modern leather lounge chair, positioned next to the fireplace, provides a stylish seating option, paired with a modern floor lamp and a small side table that brings in both function and design. The use of natural materials, such as wood and leather, alongside the clean lines and modern fixtures, creates a perfect balance between rustic and contemporary elements, making this great room an inviting and stylish space for gathering.

It was to have a light, airy, and open feeling; raised ceilings; a window in the shower area; a soaking tub; double sinks; inclusion of the clients’ stained-glass window; and specialty tile. To create this light, airy, and open feeling, half of the old interior wall [hiding the old shower area] was removed. In its place, is an open shower. Water flows from a large rain showerhead mounted on the raised ceiling. The floor under the showerhead slopes, on all four sides, so that water can funnel into the floor drain. The shower window [with obscure glass, to bring in more light], shower bench, recessed-shampoo niche, and electronic temperature-control unit [on the wall panel] add to the shower’s ambiance and serviceability. Unique details, that balance and enhance the dynamics of the bathroom, include: quartz solid-surface material on top of the shower bench, undermount tub, and undermount sinks’ counter-top; vintage-styled light fixtures over the two sinks; grey recessed-paneled linen and vanity cabinets, that compliment the white walls and vertical tiles; dark ceramic flooring; large-awning windows that swing open; pivot mirrors; a colorful-interior stained-glass window, that can be seen from both the new bath and adjacent master bedroom; and a specialty tile [of a person relaxing in a tub] positioned flush with the large-white wall tiles. After seeing the original bathroom, it is hard to imagine, that this renovation includes all of the Broadwater’s wish list. They are more than satisfied with their new crisp, clean, airy space.

A colorblocked wall in Purple Passion provides the perfect backdrop as an enhancement of the artist's own original artwork. We added coffered ceilings with recessed lighting; the interesting definition is created in the new coffered ceiling by adding additional depth with gray paint. This balances the purple wall and coordinates with sofa and animal print on the chairs. A hand-knotted custom rug in a contemporary pattern grounds the conversation grouping, and motorized shades can be lowered to protect the furnishings or raised to any point to expose the beautiful ocean view.

This bathroom has high style on a budget! There were a few challenges with the existing plumbing but we were able to get a larger shower. The black cabinet perfectly enhances the white marble hexagon tiles on the floor. Perfect selection of lighting and plumbing fixtures give this bathroom a customized look.

The existing estate illustrating a period clouded by historic neglect. The restoration plan for this castle house focused on increasing its spatial value, its open space architecture and re-positioning of its windows. The garden made it possible to enhance the depth of the view over the rooftops and the Baixa river. An existing addition was rebuilt to house to conduct more private and entertainment functions. The unexpected discovery of an old and buried wellhead and cistern in the center of the house was a pleasant surprise to the architect and owners.

Every detail of this European villa-style home exudes a uniquely finished feel. Our design goals were to invoke a sense of travel while simultaneously cultivating a homely and inviting ambience. This project reflects our commitment to crafting spaces seamlessly blending luxury with functionality. The living room drew its inspiration from a collection of pillows characterized by rich velvet, plaid, and paisley patterns in shades of blue and red. This design approach conveyed a British Colonial style with a touch of Ralph Lauren's distinctive flair. A blue chenille fabric was employed to upholster a tufted sofa adorned with leather and brass bridle bit accents on the sides. At the center of the room is a striking plaid ottoman, complemented by a pair of blood-red leather chairs positioned to capture a picturesque lake view. Competing focal points was the design challenge for this living room. The large fireplace was at one end of the room and a golf course view at the other. Back to back sofas create two seating areas so that both features could be enjoyed. The fireplace was enhanced with a surround of 100+ yr. old wood. A backdrop of soothing green tones on the walls enables the original art to pop. A color palette of antique celadon and burnt umber resides beautifully with the deep rich tones of the wood furnishings. The heirloom quality tea table is a John Widdicomb piece that was purchased from a private collection. The over-scaled library cabinet and buffet was used to create intimacy and display a myriad of family’s collectibles.
