The room that gets talked about the most is the mudroom. With two active teenagers and a busy lifestyle, organization is key. Every member of the family has his or her own spot and can easily find his or her outerwear, shoes, or athletic equipment. Having the custom made oak bench makes changing foot gear easier. The porcelain tile is easy to maintain.

via our website ` "This Cottage is one of my favorites. It is in response to the many who have asked for a multi purpose building that will keep both happy. It took a year and twelve revisions before this design was finalized. It makes very good use of the space while providing an aesthetically pleasing appearance. The 5’ double doors on the gable end are adequate for a lawn tractor, ATV, and/or firewood storage. With the addition of a workbench and cabinet space, the interior 8×10 can easily be converted into a potting area or workshop."

I love this room! Notice the drawer storage below the bench. The top drawers of the sideboard are equipped with electronics for charging various devices. We deleted the center room light fixture, moved the table off center, then added wall sconces and this array of ceiling-mount lights - switched separately and dimmable. Now the table can be placed this way or that, and good lighting is always available.

This structure is on the grounds of the project and uses the arched wood process to create the roof, windows and doors. This project was a redevelopment of a hotel suites into residential apartments by Shelter Dynamics, inc. The builder used boat-making skills and materials to create interesting and unique structures.
