As with most projects, it all started with the kitchen layout. The home owners came to us wanting to upgrade their kitchen and overall aesthetic in their suburban home, with a combination of fresh paint, updated finishes, and improved flow for more ease when doing everyday activities.
A monochromatic, earth-toned palette left the kitchen feeling uninspired. It lacked the brightness they wanted from their space. An eat-in table underutilized the available square footage. The butler’s pantry was out of the way and hard to access, and the dining room felt detached from the kitchen.
Lead Designer, Stephanie Cole, saw an improved layout for the spaces that were no longer working for this family. By eliminating an existing wall between the kitchen and dining room, and relocating the bar area to the dining room, we opened up the kitchen, providing all the space we needed to create a dreamy and functional layout. A new perimeter configuration promoted circulation while also making space for a large and functional island loaded with seating – a must for any family. Because an island that isn’t big enough for everyone (and a few more) is a recipe for disaster. The light white cabinetry is fresh and contrasts with the deeper tones in the wood flooring, creating a modern aesthetic that is elevated, yet approachable for everyday living.
With better flow as the overarching goal, we made some structural changes too. To remove a bottleneck in the entryway, we angled one of the dining room walls to create more natural separation between rooms and facilitate ease of movement throughout the large space.
At The Kitchen Studio, we believe a well-designed kitchen uses every square inch to the fullest. By starting from scratch, it was possible to rethink the entire kitchen layout and design the space according to how it is used, because the kitchen shouldn’t make it harder to feed the family. A new location for the existing range, flanked by a new column refrigerator and freezer on each side, worked to anchor the space. The very large and very spacious island (a dream island if we do say so ourselves) now houses the primary sink and provides ample space for food prep and family gathering.
The new kitchen table and coordinating banquette seating provide a cozy nook for quick breakfasts before school or work, and evening homework sessions. Elegant gold details catch the natural light, elevating the aesthetic.

We saw an opportunity to give the dining room a more distinguished identity by closing off the entrance from the foyer. The relocated wet bar enhances the sophisticated vibe of this gathering space, complete with beautiful antique mirror tiles and open shelving encased by moody built-in cabinets.

Dream Coast BuildersIn a cozy suburban home nestled beneath the sprawling oak trees, a bathroom transformation was underway. A man named Jon Cancellino had embarked on a journey to create his dream bathroom, a space that would exude a unique blend of elegance and functionality.
The first step in Jon's custom bathroom adventure was revamping the walls. To add a touch of character, he chose exquisite mosaic tiles that sparkled with a medley of colors, reflecting his vibrant personality. These tiles created a captivating canvas, covering the bathroom walls from floor to ceiling.
To enhance the natural lighting, Jon decided to install window blinds and shutters. These practical yet stylish additions allowed him to control the amount of sunlight streaming into the room while adding a layer of privacy.

With sleek, modern fixtures that included a rainforest-like roof shower and a wall-mounted acrylic photo frame, this shower was not just a place to get clean—it was a sanctuary of relaxation and self-expression. Adjacent to the shower, the bathroom sink and tap, both with a contemporary design, were placed atop a bathroom cabinet. The cabinet provided storage space for all of Jon's bathroom essentials, neatly tucked away behind stylish cabinet doors.
A towel hanger hung conveniently on one of the walls, ready to embrace freshly washed towels. Nearby, a wall-mounted photo frame held a cherished memory—a moment captured in time—a testament to Jon's personal touch in designing this space.
For a finishing touch, a wall mirror adorned one side of the bathroom, reflecting the beauty of the room and creating an illusion of spaciousness. Next to the mirror, a hanger was mounted for Jon to hang his robes and clothing, maintaining the bathroom's clean and organized appearance.
As he gazed around his custom bathroom, Jon marveled at how each element came together to create a space that was both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Every morning, he would step into his oasis, bask in the glow of the mosaic tiles, and let the water from his custom shower kit wash away the stresses of the day. William Hoffman ArchitectBebe’s House bathroom addition, “A design for the skinny-dipping aesthetic” This bathroom, an addition to an exiting home was located under a roof covered exterior space. The bathroom design was to compliment the existing architecture and make a direct relationship to the existing pool and lushly landscaped rear yard. Several steps from the main house were required to given the change in elevation and then again steps wrapping around the exterior of the addition to meet the exterior ground level. The steps which wrap the corner continue without break through the vertical glass mullions, providing the link between the new addition and pool deck as a single unbroken plane. Mitered glass corners at the clearstory windows create an illusion of a floating roofline. Double louvered jalousies windows featuring glass on the inside and redwood on the outside, match the existing windows in the house which provide ventilation and privacy around the house. The Bathroom is divided into two separate spaces, one with a whirlpool tub relating directly to the outdoors and the other a private for essentials.

Tucked away in what looks like a closet, the built-in home bar has Sub-Zero drink drawers. The gorgeous Rumford double-sided fireplace (the other side is outside on the covered patio) has a custom-made plaster moulding surround with a beige herringbone tile insert.

Become Interiors LtdFor my clients who lead busy professional lives, working from home can often mean work bleeds into every corner of the house. In this St Albans project, I reimagined a spare bedroom as a strategic retreat – a place to find focus and then leave it behind.
I designed sophisticated blue-grey cabinets alongside natural wood texture panels and caramel leather, to create a calming, quiet atmosphere that helps lower the heart rate for a productive day. Whilst the bespoke cabinetry houses the bulk of the office "admin," I kept the essentials – like the printer – accessible but integrated into the overall aesthetic.
By creating a dedicated, curated space, it’s much easier for the brain to switch from "Work" mode to "Home" and ultimately, a study shouldn't just be about where you work: it should be about how you want to feel when the laptop finally closes.

Rudloff Custom BuildersThis inviting family room was part of the addition to the home. The focal point of the room is the custom-made white built-ins. Accented with a blue back, the built-ins provide storage and perfectly frame the fireplace and mounted television. The fireplace has a white shaker-style surround and mantle and honed black slate floor. The rest of the flooring in the room is red oak with mahogany inlays. The French doors lead outside to the patio.
What started as an addition project turned into a full house remodel in this Modern Craftsman home in Narberth, PA. The addition included the creation of a sitting room, family room, mudroom and third floor. As we moved to the rest of the home, we designed and built a custom staircase to connect the family room to the existing kitchen. We laid red oak flooring with a mahogany inlay throughout house. Another central feature of this is home is all the built-in storage. We used or created every nook for seating and storage throughout the house, as you can see in the family room, dining area, staircase landing, bedroom and bathrooms. Custom wainscoting and trim are everywhere you look, and gives a clean, polished look to this warm house.
