A relatively new product from Ralph Lauren, this is Polished Patina in "Old Rock Crystal". It is a troweled finish that has a lovely pearlized effect and looks beautiful in any room.

Home was designed to be a formal house but was now being used as a weekend retreat. Ann Kenkel had to decorate the house in a manner which was coastal enough so owner's felt like they were on vacation yet formal enough for the style of the house. AK found the house filled with wallpaper from the 1980's. Wallpaper from every room was removed and all trim had to be painted a neutral color. The formal dining room only had one entry. AK opened up a second entry into the dining room which provided a view of the Chesapeake Bay. This woodsy craftsman Hillsborough home is tucked away in a foliage-drenched garden that is nothing short of magical. The surrounding greenery gave us endless inspiration to incorporate floral upon floral. To make this dining room welcoming for family and fit for a fun-loving hostess, we sourced traditional pieces that embody glam and sophistication without making it feel old-fashioned. Our hope is that the luxe velvet and metallic wallpaper will put a trance on any dinner guest. Traditional elements such as marble and carved crown molding set the tone for the dining room. We added bits of shimmer and gleam to off-set the antique demeanor and revive the space for a more modern-minded family. In the Living Room and Library we used the home’s existing historic architecture to emphasize the warm wood paneling on the walls and ceilings by bringing in deep rusty reds and oranges.
