The home was originally occupied in 1916 by the Calpha Agricultural Fraternity that eventually evolved into the California chapter of Phi Delta Theta. PRE-TEEN BEDROOMS Time Frame: 6 Weeks // Budget: $10,000 // Design Fee: $2,500 Here is a small project I took on over the summer to help a past client design her young son’s bedrooms. She didn’t want to spend a lot of money, knowing that someday her boys will want to change their rooms, but also wanted to create something that they would like now, and could grow in to. She had a Feng Sui expert evaluate the space first. Going off of the expert’s advice, I came up with space plans for each room that adhered to Feng Sui. I designed the rooms based off the boy’s favorite colors. New furniture, custom window coverings, paint and decor were selected to give the boy’s each a special room of their own.

A client in New Jersey called IDEAL Home Theaters of NJ for a consultation about the TV, audio and WiFi setup he wanted in several rooms of his beautiful Saddle River home. Owner John Carter and the IDEAL team visited the client to provide a no-obligation evaluation and estimate for the work; our proposal included installation of all equipment (other than the monitors, speakers and remote controls, of course) in the attic. The client loved the idea, and after getting his approval we got right to work.

Zooming out, we see the relationship of spaces centered around the circular fireplace. We love the interplay between the kitchen cabinets and restored mahogany panel walls & doors- one picks up where the other leaves off. The floor tone also changed as we evaluated the new/restored mahogany finish, and in relation to white walls; we chose a medium dark brown to provide contrast with both finishes and help ground the palette.

This primary bathroom renovation focused on optimizing the space and creating a truly relaxing retreat. We began by completely gutting the existing bathroom and re-evaluating the floor plan to maximize functionality. To infuse the space with personality, we incorporated a vibrant color palette, playful patterns, and unique finishes. The result is a spa-like oasis that perfectly reflects the client's vision and enhances their daily routine.
