We begin by listening: to how you live, what you love, and what the architecture of your home is quietly asking for. From there, we take care of everything. Based in Newton, MA, we work across the full spectrum of residential design :new construction, full renovation, and everything in between. Custom built-ins, bespoke window treatments, wallcoverings, rugs, kitchens, bathrooms, color schemes, furnishings, art curation :every detail considered, every finish curated, nothing left to chance. What sets us apart is not just what we design, but how we do it. Mancave and Living Room

Dominique is a brilliant designer! She designed the man cave and the main living room for us and the results were outstanding. She is super easy and fun to work with. At the start of the project, she spent the time to get to know our taste and preferences which she then incorporated into the project. The rooms she redesigned completely transformed the place. She picked many furniture pieces, paintings, decorative items, accent pieces, and fixtures (lighting, sink/faucets, door handles, etc.)... each and every item really hit the mark for us. Lastly, her attention to detail is second to none! We will hire DFI again in a heartbeat.

If there were a patron saint of design, it would be Dominique. Working with her has been nothing short of amazing. She has this incredible gift of truly seeing the whole picture — how every detail connects, how each decision impacts the final result — and then somehow makes it all feel effortless. She carefully selected and narrowed down options so my husband and I weren’t overwhelmed, which made it so easy for us to make the best choices with total confidence. Not only is she wildly talented, she’s also super easy and genuinely fun to work with. All of my friends are designers, and I can honestly say it’s been far better working with Dominique than trying to rely on friends — she brings clarity, vision, and professionalism that makes all the difference. We had such a wonderful experience working with Dominique. Our home was already furnished and designed, but we needed help bringing in warmth and color through paint and wallpaper and she was exactly the right person for that. She started with a fun, thoughtful color and pattern analysis that helped both of us clearly identify what I naturally gravitate toward, and then built from there. Her eye is beautiful, and she gave me the confidence to not shy away from color and to go bold in the right places. The result feels intentional, elevated, and still very “us.” Beyond her talent, she is truly a joy to work with! She is collaborative, encouraging, and clearly invested in her clients. She was also very mindful of budget and genuinely worked to keep us at or below what we were comfortable spending. My husband and I absolutely love how everything turned out, and I will 100% be working with her again on future home projects. Thank you Dominique for everything that you have brought to our home.

Thank Houzz for connecting me with Dominique in early 2024. Since then, with Dominique's help, I have slowly discovered what I like and learned to jump out of my "comfort zone" to something that is truly amazing. We started with something small - actually I wanted to start with something big but Dominique pursued me to start small. A cushion cover and two picture frames. Then moved on to bathroom, mudroom, and most recently my living room/ kitchen renovation. Dominique has been with me the whole time. She listens to me describing what I didn't like, and encourages me to describe what I like. When I stuck, she repeats what she heard to me so that I can say if it is I meant. There was no judgement, but help. Then she starts with options, and giving me her reasons why. I accept some but not others. Then she goes back and gives me more options. She is not only offering me her expertise on interior designs, she helps me choosing the architect and builder team. She managed them and helped me to get the designs implemented. She helped me to find the best product that fits in my budget, also find the best team to install the product. She truly has my benefit at heart. Dominique also helps me to not to afraid of colors. Sh took me to the artist studio. I met the artist and saw her work with my own eyes. They are amazing. All in all, I feel that I am very lucky to have Dominique to help me making my house more comfortable. I highly recommend her and her team.

Dominique is a wonderful person to work with if you have never worked with an interior designer before. She is down-to-earth, friendly, and goes the extra mile if something doesn’t go as planned. We also appreciate that she tried to get us out of our comfort zone and take some risks, and reminded us to have fun. I also appreciate her willingness to work within our budget and to do some projects in phases, allowing us to do as little or as much as we want each year, as we work on each zone in our home. I also find her shopping service invaluable because going from store to store on your own is exhausting and time-consuming for our busy family, but she is also fun to shop with! Before we started working with Dominque, we would look and shop for months without making any substantial decisions to create a cohesive look or make regretful choices. If you're looking for the perfect shade of white that is soothing and soft, or that ideal moody shade of blue, Dominique has some excellent options that can change the entire feel of a room. We look forward to working with her again!

I hired Dominique and DFI Interiors to help me put color, pattern and personality into my newly purchased home. The interior of the house had been painted a very neutral color throughout (for the most part) in order to help sell. I knew I wanted color and patterns but wanted an expert to help me achieve a "seaside farm" vibe but without shiplap, barn doors and starfish motif pillows! Mission accomplished! My house now has personality and style and not a seashell or crab pillow in sight! Dominque added color choices, unique and interesting lighting, wall paper and rugs, drapes and pillows that achieved just what I was desiring. Dominique is very organized, a great communicator, responsive and a problem-solver. This was my first time working with an interior designer and I am so happy I chose to work with DFI. Highly recommend.
