Storage & Organization Enhancements
The new kitchen German engineered kitchen was designed to be efficient and function seamlessly for both everyday family routines and for small and large gatherings. Storage was maximized and dedicated task zones established to optimize workflow throughout the reimagined 1925 Tudor home. The peninsula provides casual countertop seating, and graciously defines the kitchen area from the living space, keeping sight lines open and airy.
The area beneath the staircase was skillsfully customized to extend the kitchen work space and provide even more storage solutions.
The upper wall and lower base cabinetry features the Miro line in Mohair, which introduces a soft, earthy tone to the perimeter walls. This is balanced by the tall cabinet units that showcase the Synthia line in Japanese Pine, bringing a warm wood-textured elegance to the vertical spaces. Both collections incorporate the Advance handleless system, seamlessly blending clean architectural beauty with everyday functionality.
The design is further complemented by carefully curated stone surfaces. The soft Emerstone Calacata Sereno quartz countertops alongside a striking Arabescato Corchia honed marble backsplash, adds natural movement and luxury. To complete the culinary design, premium Miele appliances are used.

This bathroom needed help as it was tired, dated and cramped! The vanity area was open to the master bedroom and sandwiched between a closet and existing bathroom wall. Behind the bathroom wall, was a second sink, a small walk-in shower and the commode. A poorly placed linen closet ate into the area and there was a soffit over the shower adding to the cramped feeling. The ceiling was cluttered with old-school heating lamps, flush-mount fixtures and ventilation grills. The “movie star” lighting meant to add some glamour only made the bathroom feel dated and sad. Our clients wanted to bring this bathroom to life.
We built a wall and added a door between the bedroom and bathroom to ensure more privacy and define the space. In addition, we removed the wall separating the actual bathroom and vanity area to make the master bathroom larger. The linen closet was also taken out so the shower could be expanded significantly. Our homeowner had recently suffered a knee injury so they were looking for future solutions that would work for them as they continued to age. We made the shower large enough to include a bench and installed a handheld sprayer located near the seat. Shower walls were reinforced so that when the day came that a grab bar was needed, they would be ready.
We added a tall cabinet that featured two, deep rollouts and interior shelving to keep linens and bathroom supplies organized. Beneath the sinks, we included rollout drawers so items would not get lost in those dark areas under the plumbing. Everything that had been cluttering the ceiling was removed including the shower soffit and heat lamp. With those gone, we added evenly-spaced, recessed ceiling lights to help brighten the space making it safer and more practical.
We chose a custom blue-green paint for the cabinets which was understated enough to provide a sense of serenity while still offering a splash of color to help liven up the room. Walnut-framed mirrors added a touch of warmth and the patterned floor tile made the whole room fun! An old bathroom came alive!

Before view of side yard - The terrain in Kennesaw, GA is notoriously difficult for landscaping due to dense red clay and deeply embedded granite. These rocky conditions often require heavy machinery, like jackhammers or rock saws, to break through large stones just beneath the surface. What looks like a manageable yard can quickly reveal solid rock layers that slow down grading and increase labor. The clay and rock also create poor drainage, leading to water pooling that must be addressed with solutions like dry creek beds or advanced regrading. Despite the challenge, with the right tools and planning, even the toughest Kennesaw yards can be transformed into functional, beautiful spaces.
Find the right local pro for your project

In this ambitious backyard remodeling project, our goal was to create a truly luxurious outdoor oasis. With a complete overhaul, we removed the old pool and meticulously crafted a stunning raised infinity pool, accompanied by a new jacuzzi and a Baja area for ultimate relaxation. Adding to the grandeur, we designed and constructed a custom outdoor BBQ kitchen area beneath a newly created wood patio, providing a perfect space for entertaining. Completing the transformation, we installed a captivating fire pit, allowing for cozy evenings in the cool nights, making this backyard a haven of comfort and entertainment.

When a professional office space needs to make a lasting impression on clients and create an inspiring environment for staff, the design details matter just as much as they do at home. This thoughtful commercial interior refresh transformed a dated, purely functional office into a warm, sophisticated, and beautifully layered space — one that feels more like a high-end boutique or luxury residence than a typical workplace.
The guiding philosophy throughout was clear: every space, no matter how utilitarian its purpose, deserves intentional design. From the reception corridor to the staff break room, from the client restrooms to the storage corridor, each area received careful attention to finish, color, and texture.
Restrooms Reimagined
The two client-facing restrooms were the most dramatic transformations in the project. Rather than the builder-grade wallpaper and basic fixtures typically found in commercial spaces, both were treated as true design moments.
The first features floor-to-ceiling wallpaper in a rich taupe with a delicate white botanical branch pattern, creating an immersive, jewel-box feel. A white shaker vanity with dark granite countertop grounds the space, while an arched frameless mirror and brushed gold wall sconce add glamour. A tall gold and glass etagere serves as both decorative storage and a sculptural element, styled with woven baskets, greenery, and stacked accessories. Framed landscape watercolor art adds a serene, organic note, and a freestanding brass toilet paper holder elevates a typically overlooked detail.
The second restroom takes an entirely different but equally compelling direction — soft, dusty blue-grey grasscloth-style wallpaper printed with a tone-on-tone chevron leaf stripe wraps every wall, creating a calm, spa-like atmosphere. A weathered wood console provides casual charm beneath a large-scale botanical tulip artwork in sage and cream. The wall-mount sink with exposed plumbing adds an intentional, editorial touch. An arched mirror with a sleek multi-bulb bar sconce in brushed nickel completes the look, while a pair of sculptural brass branch wall sculptures mounted directly to the wallpaper serve as unexpected, memorable art.
Storage Made Beautiful
The internal storage corridor received a full wall of custom floor-to-ceiling white shaker cabinetry with chrome pulls, flanked by open shelving sections for accessible display and storage. Clean, crisp, and highly organized — this space proves that even a purely functional corridor can be architectural and refined.
The Break Room & Kitchenette
The staff break room was updated with white shaker cabinetry, light speckled granite countertops, stainless appliances — including a French door refrigerator, dishwasher, and over-counter microwave — and warm sage green walls that bring a restful, refreshing energy to the space. Dark hardwood luxury vinyl plank flooring runs throughout the room, warming the look considerably. A round walnut dining table with upholstered chairs creates a proper gathering space for the team, and framed landscape oil art in an ornate gold frame adds a touch of collected character to the room.
Reception & Corridor Details
The reception and corridor spaces were treated with deep navy blue paint — bold, sophisticated, and unexpected in a commercial setting. A large abstract landscape painting in warm blues, blush, and gold hangs in a gilded frame against the navy wall, making an immediate statement. A brass and lucite table lamp sits on a floating brass-trimmed shelf alongside a sculptural art object, creating a vignette that communicates creativity and intentionality from the moment clients arrive.
The result is a professional environment that communicates confidence, taste, and care — one that clients will remember long after their visit, and one that staff will genuinely enjoy working in every day.

Fond memories and classic charm guide the design for a modern family home in Old Palo Alto
Even in future-oriented Silicon Valley, there are enclaves like Old Palo Alto, where time has stood still a little longer. The clients, a family of four, were drawn to the casual charm of the community, particularly the rambling landscape of a rare half-acre lot near Gamble Garden where they could build a warm and welcoming home suited to their relaxed style of living and entertaining.
The two-tone gray shingle style abode features a broad front porch for taking in the afternoon breezes and greeting children as they return from school. Beneath a center gable, the sunny yellow Dutch door ushers in all who enter with a very warm welcome. Inside, bespoke details are the result of genuine collaboration between the clients and FGA. Soft ivory plaster walls, chestnut floors, and cedar-inlay ceilings frame rooms filled with custom milled built-ins like library shelves, writing desks, and window seats. Handsome wainscoting, whimsical railings, and colorful tiles are among the unique elements that wrap rooms in comfort and elicit a sense of nostalgia for the homeowners. Storybook stone fireplaces recall time spent in Carmel while hand-hewn half-round beams are inspired by vacations in New Mexico. The living room picture window is a heartfelt reminder of childhood memories made at grandmother’s house. All first-floor rooms offer immediate access to outdoor living areas including the large stone patio, lounge, and pool. This seamless extension to the vintage farm-like grounds and lush gardens signifies the authentic spirit of California’s al fresco lifestyle.

For this Denver couple, we started by completely re-stuccoing their home and adding cedar detailing to warm up the façade. Arroyo Craftsmen’s architectural lighting and round bronze downspouts added some very classy detailing to the work. Custom cedar fencing created a beautifully private enclosure for their firepit patio. We imported a Solus Décor firepit from Canada for the project. The seat wall surrounding the patio was veneered with tumbled San Miguel stone and capped with Arizona Buff flagstone. Subtle wall lighting was installed beneath the wall cap to create a warm ambiance for evening enjoyment. Decorative flowerpots with built-in irrigation and drainage systems were strategically placed on our clients’ sand finish concrete patio.
We redesigned our client’s bedroom balcony and used Rustica Slate to tile a pedestal decking system. To complete the overall project, we brought in a matching pair of Red Jewell Crabapples. We filled out the rest of the landscaping with Blue Giant Hosta, Rheinland Astilbe, Jack Frost Brunnera, Blue Cranesbill, and evergreen Autumn Fern.

In Frederick, Maryland, a design-build kitchen remodel incorporates local charm with modern touches, creating a functional and inviting space. This kitchen remodel blends traditional elements with contemporary design, making the space ideal for both daily use and entertaining. Here's a breakdown of the remodel, featuring a large island, a beverage station, and an Icelandic Picket ceramic tile backsplash above the gas range.
1. Large Island:
The focal point of the kitchen is a spacious island, perfect for meal preparation, casual dining, and socializing. At about 8 to 10 feet long, the island features a high-end engineered quartz countertop, with subtle veining in shades of gray and white. This island is designed for both functionality and beauty, with ample storage beneath in custom cabinetry, including pull-out drawers, open shelves and deep cabinets. The island is finished with painted cabinetry in soft olive-green color, balancing the space with a touch of elegance.
2. Beverage Station:
Adjacent to the island is a dedicated beverage station, positioned for convenience and style. This cozy nook includes a built-in coffee bar, and a sleek under-counter wine cooler, and drawers to store glassware and coffee mugs. The beverage station provides plenty of counter space for drink preparation and is thoughtfully integrated into the kitchen layout, so it’s easily accessible from both the dining area and living spaces.
3. Icelandic Picket Ceramic Tile Backsplash Above the Gas Range:
Above the gas range, the Icelandic Picket ceramic tile backsplash makes a bold statement, drawing attention with its unique design and color palette. These elongated, picket-shaped tiles come in a range of soft, natural tones – think cool whites, subtle greens, and light grays – that evoke the serene beauty of Iceland’s landscapes. The tiles are installed in a chic, geometric pattern, creating a contemporary feel that contrasts beautifully with the traditional elements of the kitchen. Their glossy finish adds a sense of brightness, reflecting natural light from the large windows. The backsplash not only serves as a practical, easy-to-clean surface but also acts as a visually dynamic feature that ties the entire kitchen design together.
4. Overall Aesthetic and Materials:
The kitchen remodel brings a blend of modern sophistication and rustic charm, perfectly suited to Frederick’s historic character. Light-colored cherry cabinetry provides warmth and a timeless feel, while stainless steel appliances contribute a sleek, polished contrast. The flooring consists of large ceramic tiles in a soft, natural finish, tying the kitchen's elements together and ensuring a cohesive, inviting atmosphere. Large windows bring in plenty of natural light, enhancing the airy, open feel of the space. The addition of subtle, muted lighting throughout creates a soft, welcoming glow for evening meals and gatherings.
5. Local Touches and Context:
Incorporating elements of the local Frederick style, the remodel emphasizes craftsmanship and functional beauty. The kitchen’s open-plan layout flows seamlessly into the dining and living areas, creating an inviting space for both intimate family dinners and larger gatherings..
This remodel captures the essence of Frederick, combining contemporary style with local tradition, all while making a bold statement with design choices that are both elegant and functional.

Project Airstream is a stylish 50' X 8' underground shelter built and designed for a young family of four. Behind these solid walnut doors hides the guts of this incredible home 20' underground. Underground Shelters are quite an engineering feat. Some owners are fine seeing all the tubes, wires, equipment and such but for these homeowners it wasn't visually appealing. Mrs. client decided she would rather take her chances above ground than live in the dark, dank steel infested, tiny submarine her husband had bought.
Enter... Robeson Design
It was our job to perform a miracle on this scary proposition...
PROJECT AIRSTREAM
Challenge:
Tiny 8' round Kitchen
Curved walls, floor and ceiling
Limited storage space available
No Windows
No Way out!
Mr. Client contacted us after finding us on YouTube. His question.. Have you ever designed a home 20' underground?
WHAT???
Did you say "Underground" ?
Heres how we did it...
(Tiny 8' round Kitchen)
Used a reflective mirror tile to cover the wall above the sink and prep area providing light, reflection and an illusion of space. Light grey paint with dark walnut stained woodwork provided a visually appealing contrast.
Minimalist low profile chrome and stainless appliances and plumbing fixtures.
Ran the flooring: striped carpet and vinyl flooring, horizontally to emphasize the width.
(Curved walls, floor and ceiling)
Design custom furniture and built-in pieces with rounded sides to fit the tube perfectly.
Furniture pieces convert for multiple uses... we call it our "Transformer Furniture"
(Limited storage space available)
Hidden storage in, below, beneath, above and atop without you even knowing it :-) Its functional AND fashionable all at the same time.
(No Windows)
Commissioned a hand painted mural in selected areas adding color, texture, visual interest and most important an illusion of perspective that takes your eye beyond the 8' steel walls.
(No Way out!)
Heck, Project Airstream turned out so Amazing... why would you ever want to leave :-)

This TV viewing area replaces an old electric fireplace and creates visual interest even when TV is not in use. The storage area beneath houses clients media equipment. The counter is made from a back painted, slumped glass. It has colours of taupe, rust and touches of metallic gold.

This exquisite dry bar is a statement of refinement, blending high-end craftsmanship with thoughtful functionality. The space is defined by a striking two-tone cabinet palette, pairing deep black bases with crisp white uppers framed in glass, creating the perfect balance of drama and elegance. Display shelving with integrated lighting highlights fine stemware and curated décor, adding a warm, ambient glow that elevates the bar from purely functional to a showcase piece within the home.
The backsplash is a true centerpiece, featuring a bold geometric pattern in marble with metallic inlays, offering layers of depth, sheen, and architectural interest. This statement surface pairs beautifully with the polished quartz countertop, whose delicate veining provides a seamless flow across the workspace while ensuring durability for entertaining. The design prioritizes both luxury and practicality, with a built-in beverage fridge, ample storage for glassware and spirits, and custom cabinetry tailored for organization.
Satin brass hardware provides subtle warmth against the bold black cabinetry, complementing the rich tones of the hardwood flooring beneath. Together, these elements create a sophisticated transitional aesthetic that bridges modern lines with classic detailing. Whether hosting large gatherings or enjoying an intimate evening drink, this wet bar delivers a setting that is as functional as it is luxurious—a perfect blend of elegance, convenience, and timeless design.

Door style: Summit | Species: Paint Grade | Finish: Soft Cream
The large central island anchors the room, and is a work of art in its own right. Counter levels descend from stool height, to cooktop height, and down even lower for a butcher block prep area. The island is home to the cooktop and a small auxiliary sink. It also provides lots of storage, including some that is hidden away beneath the seating area.

Another view of the award-winning tailored balloon valance in this recently remodeled kitchen. The Hunter Douglas designer roller shades are hidden beneath, but available if needed. The three balloons were designed to align with the triple window. The soft tails at the sides of this valance are one option in the design of a balloon shade, and help fill the wall space at the sides of the window within this window niche. A leather reading chair sits below, as a relaxing place to enjoy the view. The Jacobean floral print of the valance gives a garden view even at night. Design by Linda H. These clients are your typical, plant-loving millennials who, slowly and on a budget, are bringing a unique vision for their home to life. Color, while important to every homeowner, was clearly important to these homeowners. With one homeowner being an artist with an affinity for pink, the couple went through a gamut of cabinet color options including olive, teal, navy, and mustard. Assisted by interior designer Erinn Farrell, they landed on a custom paint color – Benjamin Moore’s Evening Blue – for the cabinetry, complemented by clear Alder in a natural stain. The retro, Mid-Mod Squares tile backsplash in custom colors from Mercury Mosaics gives a nod to the original style of the home built in the 1950's.
The overall layout of the kitchen didn't change much, but the pantry and baking center on the refrigerator wall are new features that provide much needed storage. The main living area, however, did go through some major changes. The wall separating the kitchen and dining room came down, and the small doorway connecting the dining and living rooms was transformed into a larger arch. The original wood floors (found beneath not one, but two layers of linoleum) received a fresh stain. The homeowners also knocked down the wall that sectioned off the stairs and built a slatted wood partition themselves. It was originally going to be a reeded wall, but they added the boxes for extra support, giving it more character in the end.
At Revival House we love a unique, bold project. However, the fact that these clients love the new kitchen and can’t believe they get to use it every day is the best compliment!

This elegant backyard transformation blends modern clean lines with natural textures, creating a serene and stylish outdoor living space. The custom-built grill station features a stone veneer base, granite countertop, and horizontal cedar privacy screen, all set beneath a bold wood pergola that adds architectural interest and shade.
The adjacent landscape features organic curves, boulder accents, and a dry creek bed of mixed river rocks, which bring a touch of nature into the structured space. Thoughtful planting, layered mulch, and soft outdoor lighting enhance the cozy, curated look—making this backyard ideal for relaxing evenings or weekend entertaining.

An elegant garden that highlights the beauty of the Mediterranean surroundings for the enjoyment of hotel guests.
In the garden of Hotel Cabot Las Velas, we have completely transformed the space, replacing the lawn and meadow areas with a captivating layer of volcanic gravel.
This volcanic gravel provides a backdrop of intense brown color that contrasts with the lush variety of green tones and heights that dominate this garden.
To achieve this effect, we have created clusters of ground-covering plants in strategic points, composed of lavender, rosemary, stipa grass, and agapanthus. These smaller and compact plants bring a touch of fragrance and beauty while complementing the Mediterranean aesthetics of the garden.
Furthermore, we have introduced two varieties of shrubs: mastic and pittosporum tobira nana, which add structure and texture to the spaces. To evoke the Mediterranean atmosphere even more, we have incorporated the charming Chamaerops humilis palms, which are a distinctive hallmark of the region. We have also included the agave attenuata, a succulent plant that adds an exotic and contrasting touch to the composition.
In addition, we have divided the garden into four sections and installed a drip irrigation system with pipes and hoses beneath the volcanic gravel. This ensures efficient and uniform water supply to all plants, keeping them healthy and enhancing their beauty.
The objective of this landscape design was to achieve a contrast between the volcanic gravel and the wide variety of greens present, from the subtle stipa grass to the fragrant rosemary, lavender, and agapanthus, as well as the diverse shrubs like mastic and pittosporum.
In this garden, we have avoided the growth of tall plants to achieve a complete view from any point. From the pool area, guests can enjoy a panoramic and spacious view where different colors and heights intertwine in perfect harmony. This choice highlights the spaciousness of the garden, which used to convey a sense of limited space with the previous hedges of yew and cypress.
Our goal has been to create an elegant garden that highlights the beauty of the Mediterranean surroundings. The combination of volcanic gravel, plants of different tones and heights, as well as well-distributed elements, achieves an impressive and welcoming landscape composition for the enjoyment of hotel guests.
