Main Line Kitchen Design is a unique business model! We are a group of skilled Kitchen Designers each with many years of experience planning kitchens around the Delaware Valley. And we are cabinet dealers for 8 nationally distributed cabinet lines much like traditional showrooms.
Appointment Information
Unlike full showrooms open to the general public, Main Line Kitchen Design works only by appointment. Appointments can be scheduled days, nights, and weekends either in your home or in our office and selection center. During office appointments we display clients kitchens on a flat screen TV and help them look through 100’s of sample doorstyles, almost a thousand sample finish blocks and sample kitchen cabinets. During home visits we can bring samples, take measurements, and make design changes on laptops showing you what your kitchen can look like in the very room being renovated. This is more convenient for our customers and it eliminates the expense of staffing and maintaining a larger space that is open to walk in traffic. We pass the significant savings on to our customers and so we sell cabinetry for less than other dealers, even home centers like Lowes and The Home Depot.
We believe that since a web site like Houzz.com has over half a million kitchen photos, any advantage to going to a full kitchen showroom with full kitchen displays has been lost. Almost no customer today will ever get to see a display kitchen in their door style and finish because there are just too many possibilities. And the design of each kitchen is unique anyway. Our design process allows us to spend more time working on our customer’s designs. This is what we enjoy most about our business and it is what makes the difference between an average and a great kitchen design

This native meadow planted in the sunny front yard of a residential property provides low-maintenance aesthetic beauty with an ever-evolving natural landscape that changes from season to season providing a crucial habitat for a myriad of insects from bees and beetles to grasshoppers and butterflies, which in turn support many small animals and birds. Find the right local pro for your project

Bathroom remodeling is a significant home improvement project that blends functionality, aesthetics, and value. At a high level, it involves updating elements such as fixtures, flooring, lighting, cabinetry, and plumbing to create a more efficient and visually appealing space. Modern remodeling also emphasizes energy and water efficiency, incorporating low-flow toilets, LED lighting, and eco-friendly materials. The planning stage is critical, involving layout decisions, selection of durable finishes, and ensuring compliance with local building codes to ensure both safety and longevity.
The outcomes of a well-executed bathroom remodel go beyond surface-level improvements. A redesigned bathroom can greatly enhance daily convenience and comfort, whether through better storage solutions, improved lighting, or more accessible features such as walk-in showers or grab bars for aging-in-place needs. These changes can dramatically improve quality of life, especially in homes with outdated or poorly designed bathrooms. Functionality and thoughtful design can make even small bathrooms feel spacious and more enjoyable to use.
Moreover, bathroom remodeling holds significant value from a financial perspective. A modern, attractive bathroom can increase a home’s resale value and appeal to potential buyers, often offering a high return on investment compared to other renovation projects. Real estate professionals consistently highlight updated bathrooms as key selling points. Ultimately, a bathroom remodel isn’t just an aesthetic upgrade—it’s an investment in comfort, safety, efficiency, and property value.

A client in Northbrook, Illinois worked with Chicagoland Home Products to make something – a custom storage unit, specifically – out of nothing. In their den was some unused space — making that into something functional is one of the most economical transformations you will ever make. The obvious key is that you don’t have to create the space. It is already there, just begging to be of value for whatever your imagination conjures.
Here the unused space was given a purpose by filling it with fifteen cubbies which are being used for primarily books. These black cubbies are adjustable and the exterior has been trimmed out to give it a clean and finished look. Your creativity can find a variety of ways to use these shelves as you change what goes on them and the way in which they are configured.

We wanted to keep everything simple so the backsplash could really shine in this kitchen. And ever though it offers a lot of variable change in the space it still isn't overwhelming because we stuck with similar color tones.

Here is what this customer had to say
"I LOVE your product! I enjoyed the personalization of being able to design the tiles I specifically wanted with your online tools. I appreciated the option you have to purchase a small sample of the tiles you design prior to purchasing an entire box of something you have only seen online. In fact, once my first sample was received I wanted to change it up a little- of which I did and the final product was amazing. I used it to tile my fireplace and it is beautiful and unique as no one else has the exact tiles and I am nothing but satisfied with the results. Thank you, not only for a great product, but the personalization tools you offer to really make it 'your own'. If I ever have a tile project again I will revisit your site." - Stacey K.

This La Jolla condo, located steps away from Wind n Sea beach was our client's third home we completed for them in San Diego. As vacation rental property owners, this Texas couple plans on making this their retirement escape in the years to come. In the meantime, the design had to be suitable for short time renters.
Keeping our clients' needs in mind, the interior design was geared to appeal to the out of towners. With a focus on durability, clean, simple and modern coastal design, we're all pretty certain this little gem is going to stand out amongst its competition. The formula is pretty simple, but our job is to make it happen! :)
Most of the furnishings were custom-made to fit the space perfectly, taking advantage of every inch and maximizing the space. Doubling up 2 full size beds in each of the guest rooms made this vacation rental property perfect for families and large groups.
One of our biggest challenges? Finding pieces we loved that had no metal accents! ((The salt air takes its toll on those pieces faster than you'd ever guess when you're this close to the ocean!)
We take no credit for the incredible sunsets you're guaranteed to get almost every night of your stay here, just one of the many perks of vacationing at Neptune Place. :)

Is a lake house ever truly complete without its own wine cellar and barrel tasting room? Of course not. Here, the owners can cellar bottles in a perfectly temperature-controlled environment, waiting for that Chateau Margaux to hit the perfect maturity, or just hosting an intimate evening of tasting with friends. If temperature changes fall outside a safe range, the Control4 system notifies them immediately, so not a single drop is lost.

This home was built in 1983 and looked every bit its age. As is so often the case, the owners purchased it because it was a great deal, in a great school district and had "good bones." But the accolades ended at the curb. The home was a hotbed of bad choices and not to their liking. So armed with YouTube video and a Home Depot card they set out to change it.
After years of DIYing it and still not happy, the owners decided it was time to call Alair and get the expertise of professional help if they were ever going to have the home of their dreams.
