From hops to floors, we worked extensively with our design savvy clients to provide a new footprint for their kitchen, dining and living room area, redesigned three bathrooms, reconfigured and designed the master suite, and replaced an existing spiral staircase with a new modern, steel staircase. We collaborated with an architect to expedite the permit process, as well as hired a structural engineer to help with the new loads from removing the stairs and load bearing walls in the kitchen and Master bedroom. We also used LED light fixtures, FSC certified cabinetry and low VOC paint finishes. Our designer has achieved a stylish look by combining dark cabinets and light-colored marbles.

These two though.... This retired "simple beach couple" are a couple of our faves. This was a collaboration in every sense of the word from start to finish. This was not a "throw us the keys and we'll do it all for you" type of project. They were very involved in every decision from architect plans all the way to bedside lamp placement. They had this land and former bungalow on a walkstreet in their beloved Hermosa Beach for over 30 years before they enlisted us to help them design and build their dream home. We worked with Lane Design Build and the client in wonderful harmony, and everyone is very pleased with the results.

The existing planters were replanted with more "swishy" plants that can withstand the often high winds. We towed a driftwood log ashore, which became part of a homage to a beloved horse.

Inspired by an enchanting painting created by a beloved aunt, the furnishings easily fell into place as we mixed existing with new and blended varied textures.

This project focused on skillfully reshaping a 1 & 1/2 bedroom apartment, harmonizing the client's existing possessions with thoughtfully selected new furnishings. Our objective was to craft a unified and tailored living space that embodies the client's distinct taste and preferences. It entailed not only seamlessly incorporating beloved items owned by the client but also strategically acquiring new, complementary pieces to elevate and contemporize the environment.
