Built in 1860, this historic home is located next to Phillips Academy in Andover MA and has served as a home to the academy’s administrators. The kitchen was a utilitarian, dark and cramped space. The goal of the remodel was to create a brighter and more elegant kitchen. Two new windows on either side of the cooking area, bring in light and views of the backyard. A wood paneled raised ceiling with drop soffit was added, giving new depth and warmth to the room. A glass display cabinet with interior lighting lines one wall adding to the airy, bright ambiance. Elegant styling includes hand painted custom cabinetry from Jewett Farms with decorative furniture feet and a hand-hammered copper range hood. Cosmic black granite replaced the outdated Formica countertops. A custom designed backsplash tile consists of a traditional 3 x 6 subway tile with custom selected square mosaics which tie the dark counters in with the white cabinets. Coppery accents within the mosaics reflect the copper range hood and beautiful wood floors. The flooring throughout the first floor was replaced with antique reclaimed oak. Wolf range and microwave.

Inspiration for a transitional dining room remodel in Dallas

This gable barn features all of our premium details in one package. Customized with large dormers to provide a walkout space in the T-style loft, which opens onto the horse stalls below. A wainscot stone wrap, custom accents, handmade doors, and a pine-wrapped breezeway were all chosen to tailor this package. The owner’s addition of stained concrete flooring, two-tone exterior stain treatment and carriage lighting come together for a distinctively European feel.

This "powder bath" is the only bathroom for downstairs guests in this gorgeous home, so we really had to give it some pop! Although labeled as a powder, there is actually a walk in shower in the room. We went with a calming blue palette with compliments of white, Calacatta gold marble, and french gold fixtures. We completely renovated this space for an episode of HGTV House Hunters Renovation. The kitchen was originally a galley kitchen. We removed a wall between the DR and the kitchen to open up the space. We used a combination of countertops in this kitchen. To give a buffer to the wood counters, we used slabs of marble each side of the sink. This adds interest visually and helps to keep the water away from the wood counters. We used blue and cream for the cabinetry which is a lovely, soft mix and wood shelving to match the wood counter tops. To complete the eclectic finishes we mixed gold light fixtures and cabinet hardware with black plumbing fixtures and shelf brackets.

This kitchen has it all! Under-cabinet lighting, floating shelves, a huge 10'x5' island, professional grade appliances, and tons of storage make dinner time easy!

This traditional kitchen remodel has a lot of bells and whistles. The white painted recessed panel cabinets anchor this traditional kitchen with even with all its clean lines. The large Wolf gas cook top with custom hood above draws your eye to the copper framed back splash. The cherry island with granite counter top is a great place to gather around when entertaining. The granite under mount sink is another focal point with its built in draining board in this kitchens.
