This country house was previously owned by Halle Berry and sits on a private lake north of Montreal. The kitchen was dated and a part of a large two storey extension which included a master bedroom and ensuite, two guest bedrooms, office, and gym. This main floor bathroom had to function not only as a Powder Room for guests but also be easily accessible to the backyard pool for the family to change and wash up. Combining the weathered wood vanity and shower wall tiles with the crisp shell-inspired mirror and sand-like floor tile we’ve achieved a space reminiscent of the beach just down the road.

A sliding storage element and a series of sliding panels create distinct spaces within a compact 390 sf Manhattan apartment. Sliding elements are motorized and can operated manually.

Primary bathroom designed by Delphinium Design in Charlotte, North Carolina features porcelain herringbone tile floor, large walk-in alcove shower with glass door, subway tile design and shower bench and built-in tub.

Mathew and his team at Cummings Architects have a knack for being able to see the perfect vision for a property. They specialize in identifying a building’s missing elements and crafting designs that simultaneously encompass the large scale, master plan and the myriad details that make a home special. For this Winchester home, the vision included a variety of complementary projects that all came together into a single architectural composition. Starting with the exterior, the single-lane driveway was extended and a new carriage garage that was designed to blend with the overall context of the existing home. In addition to covered parking, this building also provides valuable new storage areas accessible via large, double doors that lead into a connected work area. For the interior of the house, new moldings on bay windows, window seats, and two paneled fireplaces with mantles dress up previously nondescript rooms. The family room was extended to the rear of the house and opened up with the addition of generously sized, wall-to-wall windows that served to brighten the space and blur the boundary between interior and exterior. The family room, with its intimate sitting area, cozy fireplace, and charming breakfast table (the best spot to enjoy a sunlit start to the day) has become one of the family’s favorite rooms, offering comfort and light throughout the day. In the kitchen, the layout was simplified and changes were made to allow more light into the rear of the home via a connected deck with elongated steps that lead to the yard and a blue-stone patio that’s perfect for entertaining smaller, more intimate groups. From driveway to family room and back out into the yard, each detail in this beautiful design complements all the other concepts and details so that the entire plan comes together into a unified vision for a spectacular home. Add comfort to your dining room with this classic 7pc dining set from CorLiving. This set includes six dining chairs and an extending counter height table. The chairs feature padded seats and backrests in chocolate brown bonded leather supported with a rich warm brown stained wood frame. The sturdy dining table is constructed of solid wood and engineered wood veneer with a hidden butterfly leaf extending the table to 81 inches, accommodating up to eight people.

Projecting outward at an obtuse angle, the entertaining patio provides ample seating options for many to gather around the wood-burning fireplace. This 42” stainless steel fireplace includes a gas log lighter for added convenience! Attention-drawing, it also features an extended hearth. The client requested an Extensive Electrical package including a 50” HDTV mounted above the fireplace with Bose Flushmount Sound System to provide optimal sound throughout the outdoor living room. Recessed lighting, nestled in the elegant Tongue and Groove ceiling, illuminates the patio while the flood lights on the surrounding exterior highlight the Complete Landscaping package in the lawn. Completing this outdoor living room, stamped concrete perfects this space with a beautiful, bright pattern to complement the existing stucco finishes. Though this project is an add-on, the stucco texture, paint, and trim look utterly original to the home!

The Big Bang dining table is based on our classic Vega table, but with a surprising new twist. Big Bang is extendable to accommodate more guests, with center storage for two fold-out butterfly table leaves, tucked out of sight. Collapsed, Big Bang measures 50”x50” to accommodate daily life in our client’s small dining nook, but expands to either 72” or 94” when needed. Big Bang was originally commissioned in white oak, but is available in all of our solid wood materials. Several coats of hand-applied clear finish accentuate Big Bangs natural wood surface & add a layer of extra protection. The Big Bang is a physical theory that describes how the universe… and this table, expanded.
