The level-eight infinity pool at The Archer is a defining architectural feature, designed to mirror the sweeping horseshoe geometry of the building’s façade. Delivered through a seamless Design and Construct (D&C) collaboration between Pace Development Group and Aloha Pools, the 30m x 5m fully tiled pool was built by specialist in-house crews to complement the development’s premium material palette and views across Flemington Racecourse. Behind its striking design is sophisticated engineering, including an amended overflow system to reduce heat loss and improve energy efficiency. The entire pool structure also floats on advanced sound isolation mounts, minimising noise transfer to the residences below. Fully compliant with Australian Standards, the result combines architectural impact, technical precision and exceptional amenity.

The City of Boulder required a series of permit-related green points that are rigorously enforced. This includes points for: • Planting new shade trees • Preserving existing mature trees • Installation of organic soil amendments in all permeable areas • Xeric Planting • Surface Water Management • Zoned irrigation system Landscape Construction: Environmental Designs, Inc.; Landscape Architecture Design: MARPA

The uneven back yard was graded into ¬upper and lower levels with an industrial style, concrete wall. Linear pavers lead the garden stroller from place to place alongside a rain garden filled with swaying grasses that spans the side yard and culminates at a gracefully arching pomegranate tree, The transformation was completed with a bold and biodiverse selection of low water, climate appropriate plants that make the space come alive. branches laden with impossibly red blossoms and fruit. The elements of a sustainable habitat garden have been designed into the ¬lush landscape. One hundred percent of rainwater runoff is diverted into the two large rain gardens which infiltrate stormwater runoff into the soil. After building up the soil with tons of organic amendments, we added permeable hardscape elements, a water feature, native and climate appropriate plants - including an exceedingly low-water Kurapia lawn - and drip irrigation with a smart timer. With these practices we’ve created a sumptuous wildlife habitat that has become a haven for migratory birds & butterflies.

Sculptural agaves, succulents and California native plants punctuate the front landscape complementing the “arroyo seco” rain garden studded with boulders and branches. The rain garden catches 50% of the stormwater runoff from the roof and infiltrates it into the soil. The remaining 50% of the runoff goes to a second rain garden in the back yard.

This outdoor living area helped our customer unite the magnificent indoors with their outdoors. There was an original builders cement patio and old rotting picket fence dividing the yard. We were able to design a functional entertainers paradise and give this yard a complete makeover. We helped them gain full functionality while be able to entertain guests for many years to come. The project Features Nicolock paving stone Stone Ridge XL collection for the patio in South bay Blend. The Kitchen and Bar area are also built out of Nicolock in the same South Bay blend. The landscape was spruced up with some planting enhancements, soil amendments and black mulch flower beds.

The grey trend has evolved in the last twelve months. Nowadays browns, beige and a touch of grey are in demand. Greige is the new buzzword. Heavier hand scraped or contoured products, the rage that started around 2005 has taken a back seat in most areas, while a softer wire brushed "ceruse effect" seen mostly on White Oak has been remarkably strong showing no effects of becoming “dated” like the others mentioned. Ceruse Color Possibilities There are numerous color combinations to the "cerused" process with the most popular being white or off white. This design trend in hardwood flooring can have darker gray white oak with a mild ceruse off white effect.
