Let’s walk through the Campbell home addition. We’ve expanded the living room with gorgeous hardwood floors, custom built-in shelving, and a traditional gas fireplace as the centerpiece. The open layout flows into the updated kitchen, framed by new French doors and large windows for plenty of natural light. We added elegant wainscoting and a brass chandelier in the dining room, keeping a timeless feel. Crown molding and recessed lighting finish the space, blending classic charm with modern convenience. When the neighbor expanded, the small, open courtyard became an extension of the neighbor's driveway. Southern Landscape designed and built a custom privacy trellis to shield the neighbor while creating an intimate retreat off the master bedroom. ,Asian jasmine climbs the trellis, while dianella, foxtail, and little gem magnolia highlight the custom water feature, all of which contributes to the quiet oasis.

APD was hired to update the kitchen, living room, primary bathroom and bedroom, and laundry room in this suburban townhome. The design brought an aesthetic that incorporated a fresh updated and current take on traditional while remaining timeless and classic. The kitchen layout moved cooking to the exterior wall providing a beautiful range and hood moment. Removing an existing peninsula and re-orienting the island orientation provided a functional floorplan while adding extra storage in the same square footage. A specific design request from the client was bar cabinetry integrated into the stair railing, and we could not be more thrilled with how it came together! The primary bathroom experienced a major overhaul by relocating both the shower and double vanities and removing an un-used soaker tub. The design added linen storage and seated beauty vanity while expanding the shower to a luxurious size. Dimensional tile at the shower accent wall relates to the dimensional tile at the kitchen backsplash without matching the two spaces to each other while tones of cream, taupe, and warm woods with touches of gray are a cohesive thread throughout.

Originally located on the back of the home, the gas fireplace was relocated to the current side wall of the Family Room. The portion of the room behind the sofa on the left is a new addition to expand the open plan. Custom built-ins, a light stacked stone on the fireplace and a millwork surround for the TV make the space look classic yet current.

In this renovation, a spare bedroom was removed to expand the living and dining space. A central built in separates the living from the dining area and provides ample storage while serving as a media center. We expanded the mudroom 8' into the garage to reduce how crowded the space is when the whole family arrives home at once. 4 closed off locker spaces keep this room looking clean and organized. This room also functions as the laundry room with stacked washer and dryer to save space next to the white farmhouse apron sink with aberesque tile backsplash. At the end of the room we added a full height closet style cabinet for additional coats, boots and shoes. A light grey herringbone tile on the floor helps the whole room flow together. Walnut bench and accent shelf provide striking pops of bold color to the room.

Homeowner contacted us late 2018 requesting that we design a grand backyard with multiple spaces for entertaining, dinning and enjoying time with friends and family. Their main request was a pizza oven because they enjoyed grilling and cooking for family and friends, We installed a large Chicago brick oven using Unilock Brussels river blend with El Campo Mocha accents for the masonry work (pizza oven, bar and oversized fireplace). For the paver patio, we used Unilock Bristol Valley Bavarian Blend to compliment the other hardscape work as well as the home. Our masonry team designed and built a 48” custom wood box to store the wood next to the oversized fireplace. As a focal point between the fireplace and pizza oven we installed a shear decent waterfall feature coming out of the masonry. Next to the pizza oven we installed a bar area for guests to gather along with a large prep area for the homeowner to make pizzas Forty tons of Ohio stone boulders were installed to expand the yard and support the large patio space. The homeowner requested a unique gas fire feature, so we expanded on the idea creating a custom fire table with oversized cap for cocktails in the evening. With the home on a high-side wooded lot tucked into the trees, our design incorporated native plantings to fill the landscaping space around the home. We created a large entertaining space in a small backyard.

With an eye toward accessibility, this bathroom is designed to ease the everyday routines of a homeowner who often uses a wheelchair. Universal design strategies guided the project structurally with ADA-compatible elements incorporated throughout. One side of the vanity is set lower and left intentionally open underneath to accommodate the wheelchair when needed. Visually, the project shines just as bright with white shaker-style cabinetry balanced by warm tones found elsewhere. Oversized warm gray porcelain wall tile partners beautifully with a diminutive square tile on the shower floor, while brushed nickel hardware and quartz countertops complete a timeless, classic appeal. 2011 NARI CAPITAL COTY MERIT AWARD WINNER; 2012 QUALIFIED REMODELER MASTER DESIGN AWARD This 1950 brick colonial featured a floor plan typical of homes of that era--small boxy rooms, each separated by four walls. The young couple who owned the home loved its potential, but needed more space. The main goal of this project was to create a seamless and open floor plan on the first floor, adding a family room and enlarging the kitchen. A master bedroom and bathroom suite were planned to make better use of the second level. To accomplish these goals, a 20’ x 20’ two-story addition was designed by Michael Nash Design, Build & Homes. The new expanded kitchen and family room features limestone floors, a new gas fireplace surrounded with built-ins and glass stone hearth to complement the kitchen countertops and backsplash. Use of espresso colored cabinetry topped by a light granite countertop with brown veins running through it is one of the decorative touches that make this project stunning. The large middle island which consists of a second sink, wine chiller and seating space is another bonus point of this kitchen. Commercial quality appliances assure gourmet cooking at its finest. Large first floor windows face the home’s new flagstone patio, which can be accessed via a French door. The second floor consists of the master bedroom with a sitting area , French doors leading into a French balcony facing back yard, double-sided stoned gas fireplace (between the bedroom and master bath) and a cathedral ceiling. The master bathroom features a large steam shower, body sprays and rain shower, a large double person Jacuzzi, tumbled marble floor and wall tiles with accents. The use of wide plank exotic tiger wood has beautified this master suite. Keeping the homeowners’ contemporary style in mind and achieving their wishes has transformed this old 1950 colonial into a fully functional 21st Century dream home.

A design for a busy, active family longing for order and a central place for the family to gather. We utilized every inch of this room from floor to ceiling to give custom cabinetry that would completely expand their kitchen storage. Directly off the kitchen overlooks their dining space, with beautiful brown leather stools detailed with exposed nail heads and white wood. Fresh colors of bright blue and yellow liven their dining area. The kitchen & dining space is completely rejuvenated as these crisp whites and colorful details breath life into this family hub. We further fulfilled our ambition of maximum storage in our design of this client’s mudroom and laundry room. We completely transformed these areas with our millwork and cabinet designs allowing for the best amount of storage in a well-organized entry.
