"Perfection" is the only way you can describe this Bath sanctuary.
Owners of this prominent estate home were tired of their master bathroom and wanted major changes to this space.
They wanted a Master suite with high end Spa look, marble floors and walls, large shower, open space, private commode area, his and hers vanities, and lots of upscale amenities.
The master bedroom, and adjacent seating room need upgrading as well.
Our staff has suggested a large double door entrance to enter this master suite, new lighting throughout, eliminating columns and partition walls and adding coffer ceiling, built ins surrounding new fireplace and marble hearts.
The old window was replaced, a much bigger eyebrow picture window and couple casement side flange given a magnificent view of scenic backyard
The old bathroom was totally gutted, opened closed shower area to a large walk in stall with built in bench and frameless glass, state of art shower system all part of new amenities
An upscale free-standing tub surrounded with marble floors and walls.
To create their individual spaces, now they have high end vanities with built ins, framed mirrors and marble counter tops,
His and hers custom closet system have lots of organized space, and new wood floors to match rest of master suite space.
Picture perfect is what this sanctuary spa feels like for couple and they can't be any happier to retire to this space at the end of each busy day.

This kitchen took a tired, 90's builder kitchen and revamped it into a personalized gathering space for our wonderful Centennial family. The existing space was in good condition, but carried a visual weight and functionality that was overall displeasing for our clients. Our clients desired a central gathering island where their family of 5 can sit and dine together or events can be hosted outside of the formal dining room. The old oak cabinets weren't maximizing storage and were dated and orange. We removed a half wall that used to be a desk area inside of the kitchen to create a sprawling island easily capable of hosting 6 guests. We used Waypoint Living Spaces cabinets in Silk around the perimeter of the kitchen: stacking cabinets to create a tall, dramatic look around the space. On the south wall, we created a hutch-like stack that features seeded glass panels in the upper and lower cabinet doors. These allow china and colorful dishes to be displayed for a pop of fun color in an otherwise quietly neutral space. The island cabinets are a dramatic contrast in Ultracraft's Truffle paint with oversized island legs for a more furniture-like feel. The island countertop is Caesarstone Quartz in Frosty Carrina, and the perimeter is MSI Quartz in Lagos Azul. The handsome, structured cabinet hardware is from our friends at Amerock in a gorgeous oil rubbed bronze. The island chandelier is a gorgeous 7 light open frame bronze fixture from Hinkley Lighting. One of the most striking features in the space is the countertop-to-ceiling glass mosaic tile. This mosaic is a delicate hand-blown stained glass look. It captures a wide range of light and color tones, and looks different from every angle in the room. Our clients commented that, at night when the other lights are off, the backsplash feels like a distant city glittering beyond. We love the way this space turned out and are so happy that our clients now have such a warm and welcoming gathering space as the heart of their home!

When our Alexandria clients moved into their first home, they inherited a kitchen with outdated laminate countertops and dark cabinetry that made the space feel closed in. They wanted the opposite: bright, open, and built for how they actually live.
We started with white Shaker cabinetry to maximize natural light in a kitchen that sits at the center of the home's main floor, visible from nearly every living space. A soft off-white quartz countertop added warmth without losing that airy, light-filled quality, and gold hardware and fixtures carried through consistently on every cabinet pull, knob, and faucet, giving the space a cohesive, elegant finish rather than a mismatched one.
The final touch came from a pair of black trumpet pendant lights above the island. In a kitchen built almost entirely on light, warm tones, that black accent gave the room the contrast and visual anchor it needed to feel complete rather than simply pretty.
White, black, and gold is one of the most enduring kitchen palettes we work with at Grace House Studio. It photographs beautifully, ages well, and gives homeowners a kitchen they won't tire of years down the road, which mattered a lot to clients furnishing their very first home.
If you're building new or finally ready to update a kitchen that no longer fits how you live, our team offers a free in-home consultation to walk through your space and talk through what's possible.

This master bathroom began as a tired, outdated space in need of a renovation. The homeowners were happy with the layout of the space, but wanted a brighter, more open feel to make the room feel more luxurious. A freestanding soaking tub and a sparkly chandelier did the trick while custom inset cabinetry added plenty of function and storage. Matt Villano Photography

The original kitchen in this 1990s two-story traditional home had cabinet peninsulas that made moving in and out and around the kitchen awkward. It was also “tired” with a dated design. The owners looked to Rick Jacobson for a transformation. They wanted an open kitchen with comfortable spaces for food prep and cooking, entertaining, and raising a family.
The before and after photos on our website tell the story. The original design included two peninsulas; one with two bar seats for casual dining, and another that was essentially granite-topped cabinet for storage. While enclosing the kitchen, the design limited traffic flow. The stove, refrigerator and dishwasher needed to be replaced. Oak cabinets were showing their age. Oak trim around the windows were bland. The window blinds weren’t all that appealing. Lighting was tired. Flooring needed help as well.
The good news: A new, bright, open, inviting and functional design could totally transform the room without having to relocate plumbing and electrical.
The project began by getting rid of everything old and starting over. The popcorn ceiling was scraped down and replaced with a knock-down finish. The window trim was replaced with white painted poplar Princeton trim. New white translucent blinds let light in and offers privacy. The floors were sanded and dark stained with an oil base finish. And the floorboards were replaced with a three-part pine base.
The new white kitchen cabinets feature Classic White Dura Supreme cabinetry with Kendal panels and rubbed oil hardware. The new countertops are made with Alaska White Granite from Capital Granite. The beautiful back splash was constructed with Rubbed Oil and Glass features from the Tile Shop. The Kraus open bay under mount stainless steel sink works well with Kohler brushed Nickel fixtures.
All the appliances were replaced with stainless steel finishes. A gas cooktop replaced the original electric, with a new stainless steel range hood that was vented to the outdoors - a major improvement because the old range hood just had circulating filters.
All the lights, including those lighting the counter, are on dimmers, making the room easily adjustable.
A fresh new coat of Benjamin Moore Pashmina Af-100 paint on the walls, and Benjamin Moore White Dove Pm-19 paint on the trim, adds a light and neutral color that gives a fresh and crisp but warm feel.
The result: A bright, open, functional kitchen, perfect for entertaining and raising a family. The owners love it!
