Amy didn’t feel her office reflected her personality or style, or coordinated with the other updates made on the main floor of her home. Painted in a subtle yet beautiful blush color, new life was breathed into the room. A desk and file cabinet with accents of antiqued mirrors added sparkle to the work area. A cozy desk chair, custom lounge chairs and an ottoman created with feminine fabrics provided comfortable seating. The matching bookcases hid unsightly electronics and cords and provided a landing place for treasured photos. The walls were adorned with a tapestry and framed art to add colors and textures, with the seating area grounded by a silver rug. The room was completed with florals to add that soft organic element to tie in the beautiful gardens that surround the home.

Major renovation to a beautiful old Victorian outside of Boston. We opened up the kitchen to expose the original pantry, restored the old wood cabinets and painted the interiors a beautiful shade of navy blue. Exposed brick and added on a much needed mudroom and new entry to the kitchen, we were able to expose the back stair case and added batten and board on the walls. Beautiful.

The Home Office displays a variety of cabinet styles including file drawers of Wenge veneer and uppers designed with stainless trim and 3form acrylic inlays. There's a two-person desk made of Italian white laminate and a solid wood white pickled oak unit for storage. Our client owned this dresser for many years. She didn't want to part with the piece so we were happy to cleverly incorporate it into the new bedroom design. We custom refinished the dresser, changed the hardware, and added a file cabinet in a similar style to create one extensive piece that read like a custom built-in. The glass top on the dresser mimics the floating glass top for the vanity/desk area. The finished product was a sustainable solution that offered tons of closed storage for clothing and personal items; a comfortable location to work from home and/or apply makeup; combined with the extensive surface area for future goods. Condominiums frequently offer less square footage so each room has to be multi-functional. In this case, we built our client a custom vanity. This area also serves as a desk space to conveniently work from home and/or manage personal affairs. Since this is a bedroom, it was important to maintain a "clean and uncluttered" space. Therefore, all paperwork and a printer are neatly tucked away in the file cabinet so our client can rest comfortably in the room without thinking of work. Brass and marble hardware adds a touch of glam while creating a cohesive look between our client's pre-owned custom refinished dresser and the new 2-drawer cabinet. The walls for this in-home office walls are covered in metallic grasscloth paper by Phillip Jeffreys and the cowhide area rug and wall art by Vogue, condeNast personalize the space by bringing elegance and warmth to the room. The custom built-in with file cabinets has antique asian hardware and the garden stool is by emmissary.

The perfect match & fit to this clients space for the Home Office. The closed door storage below had a combination of file drawer, slide-outs for a printer & paper shredder, lockable storage, adjustable shelving and an integrated power plug in the desk drawer. The dual monitors swivel on their mounts on the wall. The open shelving is adjustable as well. Fluted casing on the tall uppers, the subtle arch and the table posts integrated into the design below add the final personal touches. Although the stain was very dark, their choice of White Oak material allowed the natural beauty of the grain to show through. Very elegant piece!
